Critical Atom X review - impractical use

- Critical Atom X power supply is technically great as all their products are but out of the box it is a bit impractical to use in the way most tattoo artists I know work. Out of the box it does not have stand to get it on the side of station you can buy separately but that adds up to price even more if you compare it to previous also awesome model.

I love this power supply. It sticks to my lamp arm and is super practical. It lets me clean up my station so that there's nothing sticking out or cables snagging on stuff. I guess it comes down to how you set up your working area. I see that I wouldn't want it on a station like yours. :)
Fitting it on a lamp seems like a great idea and helps issue with cable management big time.

You can easily fasten a metal clamp onto the lip of your work bench and it can then attach magnetically. Thing works great and it is really practical. It is loud when it hits the metal

It's definitely good product. In this review we are just complaining about good old things we miss from older model.
Brilliant
I use one when I travel. Bottle bag it and stick it on my travel armrest main stand tube. Easy access in the area I am working. I use the bigger bottle bags and cover my cords from inside bag at source to inside bag at machine or foot pedal. Makes breaking down easier knowing there is no chance it’s hot (contaminated.) I did find myself in the situation where I had a cover split. I just bagged and contained it as “hot” after finishing and left it that way until I could properly bring it back to ready. Works for me. I guess I should also include: when I got it new there was an issue with the power supply transformer delivering less than normal or proper voltage or whatever. Rectified by mail so little bit of hassle. but, they took care of it.
could always cover it with seran wrap, easy peasy to pull off then ;)
+James Johnson if you mean the food type then sometimes it works great and sometimes it sucks... it usually sticks good if you spray something on surfaces but you don't want to spray on your power supply. Then there is that blue barrier film which sticks great but it's bit more pricey.
Food wrap is so much help as a back up for many things :)
yeah it is great, I dont own one of those supplies but if i did id say maybe put the wrap over it, then a rubber band around it to hold the wrap in place, n keep it away from having to spray around it, would be nice for travel
@@TattooShopTalk that blue film is cheapest than machine bag covers u use for cover p. supply. But the price when u bying it is bigger because in roll is 1000 pieces. For example, u.. star box of machine bag covers (250 pieces) 5€. Roll of barrier film same company (1000 pieces) 12€. The film is great for cover your phone as well and other stuff too. (cx2 on my station btw 😉)
they do have special Atom Mount tho)) so I would scratch "mount problems" of the rewiev and cons list)))

+mark hodsdon it's a good power supply but not the most comfortable out of box. Throw in extra 30€ for stand for it and it's all comfortable and all that.

That's exactly that and that is why many people still love older model
I love this one way better just saying I just got small and not big in the and you can put film tape over top of it super easy just some tips easy love it works like a keeping it 💯 it's the best I like the lights as well to show me where my voltage in that just saying but ya I love the magnet as well just saying old is out run with the new one it's better......
You either love or hate those lights.
