Not that it really makes much of a difference with it only losing 1-2% performance at most, but I am surprised you installed the m.2 drive into the second slot putting your PCIE x16 slot down to x8 when the m.2_1 slot was free.

Hey, I use the same motherboard and wanted to give you a tip that you installed the M.2 SSD in the wrong slot. I'm pretty sure that your 4090 is only connected to the M.2_2 slot with 8 lanes. If you use the M.2_1 slot, i.e. the upper one, your 4090 will also run with the full 16 lanes. Would be a shame about the wasted performance. I hope the tip was helpful.

İ builded a system for my friend. every time i start the system it stays on black screen and little screen on the board says ''memory test'' and it takes about 20-30 second before even ROG logo appears. so the computer -that has 1000dolar mb and 7800x3d and rtx 4090 - starts in 40 seconds or more. it shutters couple of seconds after its started. İ NEED HELP GUYS, anyone plz! (i had some other issues like it would not complete the windows install. it finally did. and bios uptade was nightmare. i had to do it more then 5 times. and clear cmos. some times it would not post at all, some times it would freeze. some time i dont know what it was doing. it was just black screen. and second m.2 slot on the motherboard still doesnt see the second ssd. i have almost the exact same build all the way to the asus tower i just have an NZXT water cooler for the CPU and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. other than that exactly the same and i love it

Since the guy clearly doesn't know enough to even install the M.2 drive in the correct slot and bought parts that were way overpriced, there's not much to envy here. You can build a PC that performs nearly as well for much much less than this guy paid.
