And it's a pain in the ass too. haha "sim first, game second" should be taken with caution. It is really old so it has a lot of annoyances, mostly stuff not working may times.
RBR's damage model which is hailed as "amazing" is THE most unrealistic thing about it... the moment you touch a rock at 20kph the game tells you your engine blew up... MY REAL LIFE OPEL CORSA CAN TAKE A HARDER HIT THAN THAT!!! Are you kidding me people? I was literally laughing my ass off when I touched that rock at LITERALLY 20kph and the game told me my engine is damaged... in RBR rally cars are flimsy as hell... sure, it is realistic when you have a high speed crash but at low speeds it's an absolute joke... I've seen real life rally cars go over rocks at low speeds... in this game the rocks must be landmines or nuclear bombs or something cause touching one at any speed means game over... All these fanboys that hail this as a fantastic and realistic thing, have they ever driven a car in their lives? at 20kph if I crash I will need only a tiny fix on my bumper and that's for an everyday ROAD CAR... not a rally car... Anyway, RBR is a pain in the ass and in my humble opinion is not worth it...
Was there in 2023. Today I got to know parts of the stage I didn't know. For the sections that I know, I'd say this representation is spot on! And gladly, in real life, marshalls allow us to be waaaay closer from the track vs what is shown here
stage looks amazing... i just wish it had more baked shadows, mainly ambient occlusion that would help with figuring out where walls and the floor meet, much like what we see at 1:01 with the concrete barriers on the right side.
its crazy how bad modern gaming has become. these graphics, whilst simplistic, look damn near photo realistic to me, the landscapes in the background, the farms, the hills, the houses, the trees, the sky, the clouds. why do modern games have less realistic, but technically slightly more impressive and 'pretty' graphics, yet have zero performance optimization and run like literal garbage. its absolutely shocking. the difference between this games visuals, and ea wrc for example is tiny, i honestly prefer the look of this game, and yet the newer game requires a damn 4090 for smooth gameplay, and rbr rsf will undoubtedly run fine on a gtx1060 3gb or even lower.
That's one of the reasons I prefer the original Dirt Rally 1.0 over 2.0 / EA WRC and wish it wasn't taken off of Steam. Even if the game's physics aren't perfect, its visual style looks far better than its over-saturated and plastic-y sequels and its minimalist UI/presentation is much more appealing as well, on top of the game being more optimized, lightweight and not always-online.
@@Scapegoat-po2ou I have to agree, I always thought wales looked way better in dr1 than in dirt rally 2 for example. But I still usually played the second game anyway.
Once I got out of kindergarten I stopped caring about graphics. Physics is the only thing that matters. Dont worry, you will feel the same, eventually.
@@tbmdd How does this look like complete shit? It looks pretty good, and in motion you wont really notice or care much about graphical fidelity anyway. The sounds are good, very close to the real onboard footage of this car irl.
@@Skumtomten1 My main rig I use for gaming has a 4090 Founder's Edition and an i9-13900KS. I play on a 32" 144Hz 4K Acer Predator. Graphical fidelity and smoothness is of utmost importance to me. I can appreciate the physics/handling in this sim and I can respect the fan base this sim has. I simply think it looks terrible when put up against Generations and EA WRC.
ea wrc may look 'prettier' but honestly, this looks so much better to me, much more realistic colouring, no over the top bloom or silly post process effects. apart fromt he lack of dynamic lighting and low polygons, this could easily look like real camera footage to me.
I like how this ''old game'' still gets that much love. i never played it myself but looks fun
Because it has features that other rally games don’t have 😚

Sounds like real rally stage videos from 3:46

beautiful stage, beautiful car, clean driving, well done
Thank you ☺ This stage is fun~
@@SimRacingJihen а почему такой высокий дорожный просвет? Это стандартные настройки подвески?😮
This game are for hardcore Rally fans
Rbr est Amusant, mais Vraiment plus dure que le Rally réel 😉 @@nep401
Clean driving. One of, if not, the best Rally sim out there
What good graphics you'd never believe it was a 2000s game!
Rally Legend! Would love to see this one day

The sounds are incredible with this car!
Just need a Paolo Diana fiat 131 to complete the experience 😎
watched this live last weekend! beautifully made map!
Very well done!
Damn the new stage looks so good

Awesome 🔥
Love this stage ❤❤❤❤
This looks so good! Can't wait to finally get my RBR installed.
This looks really fun, gotta get this stage
Update: This is now my favorite car and stage in RSF/RBR :)
This stage is located in real life in San Marino
Looks so fun is it with wheel
What fov do you use????
Questa è la tappa "The legend" del rallylegend di San Marino?😊
SÌ 😉

You must be new to gaming. if you see ea or blizard or bethesda - you run away as fast as you can.
Colin McRae. The greatest rally driver ever apart from Walter Rohrl and Henri Toivonen. :) Three of my favourites.
Obligatory "insert rally game here" is so much better than RBR
name of the stage?
name is The Legend
But why does it look like slow motion??
btw 4:59 what's that dude's problem?? 😂😂
what is name of this stage?
”The Legend" 😉
Obligatory RBR is more superior than "insert random rally game here"
Where can we get this game ?
Type 'RBR RSF' on Google
Stage?
The stage is called "The Legend"

Очень много ручного тормоза...
Ea sports wrc more fun 👍
Your mama more fun

Shit looks ugly, EA WRC so much better. Graphics, sounds, etc. Only thing good about this sim is the physics.
