Love this video! No one except you talks about framing, and it’s so important. I have framed about 1/2 of the kits i completed and will continue to frame my art. It’s expensive and you have to wait sometimes to find the correct size but look at the stunning effect! Your framed paintings look incredible!! We have the exact same taste and I love seeing your finished artwork. ❤❤❤I didn’t know about the Thomas Kincaide series. I will have to check it out.
Thank you, Cathy! Framing is super expensive, that's exactly why I try to purchase kits of standard sizes (40x50cm; 45x60; 30x40) because it is much easier to find cheap poster frames of these sizes. I'm lucky that my favorite brands (Diamond Dotz, Make market, etc) make lots of kits of such sizes. Thomas Kinkade's series are gorgeous, Diamond Dotz has lots of his designs, although I rarely see DD in physical stores now.
I am a newbie, this was so fun to watch. I have bought a couple from Amazon that were inexpensive, but so far the couple that I have made from Make Market, and Diamond Dots look the best. Can you explain the difference between round and square drills. Have only purchased round. These are so beautiful! Thank you😊
Thank you, Terri! Welcome to diamond painting club, lol! So, round drills are a bit bigger than square ones, round are 2.8 mm, square drills are 2.5. In my opinion, kits that are dped with square drill have better resolution due to them being smaller, plus they are aligned very close to each other, ideally with no gapping whatsoever. The problem is that I haven't found the ideal square drill brand yet. Wizardi doesn't have gapping issue bur their adhesive is terrible. Diamond Dotz and Mosfa do have minor gapping. Also, square drill dpainting is more time consuming and more difficult in comparison to round drills.
Great Job! Nat. It's been awhile ☺️. For some of my really Large DP's that i want to hang....ive been shamelessly cutting the borders off and using matching thumb tacks in the corners to put them on the wall then i "frame/ border the DP's with matching masking tape. So from afar it really looks like it's framed. That's my framing "go to". If the tacks are on the border well you cover with the tape. If the tacks visibility on the dp i will cut out very tiny piece of the tape to cover the tack head so its practically invisible. I've had several on my wall now for at least 3yrs with absolutely no problem. If you try it....let me know😁🪴🌞🥰
@@DiamondPaintingbyNat Great! I really think you will like it. I've used black masking tan, brown and color masking tape and it has worked out great. Plus, sometimes I change my DP's and I haven't had any problems with the tape removing the wall paint 🤞🏽.
Thank you, Jaime. Unfortunately many Make Market Christmas series kits are no longer available at this moment but hopefully they will next year (or better say this year in October-November) when they launch mew designs along with a few last year's ones.
Gorgeous kits ! Glad I am not the only one who has my first "pixaleted" kit from Aliexpress framed and displayed 😀 that one is solely responsible form my addiction and horde of paintings in my closet 🥰
Thank you, Inga! To justify it: back then diamond painting wasn't that popular and the majority of kits were sold on Aliexpress . Only with years, high quality companies that prioritize hand rendering began to sell kits and we had a choice what to buy. But yeah, Aliexpress was a good start for all of us. They still have designs that can't be found in other brands.
@@DiamondPaintingbyNatAlso started with Aliexpress in the beginning both due to price and availability of the crat. Thanks to creators like you who show the difference in the quality and the reasons for price differences decided to treated myself to couple DD and DAC kits to feel difference. Now can't unseen the same issues of pixelation, drill quality, licensing etc.
I enjoyed seeing your framed pieces. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you so much! I'm very happy to hear it!
