For best song, one song I would love to see recognize is This Gift from the movie The Odd Life of Timothy Green. Now I know a lot of people didn't like that movie, but trust me, it's an incredibly lovely song. Music and lyrics by the same guy who wrote the Academy Award winning song Falling Slowly from the movie Once. Life of Pi will likely be nominated for best picture and maybe director but one category it has no chance for is best actor. Suraj Sharma was AMAZING in that movie!
The Master, Paul Thomas Anderson, Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, Jonny Greewood and Mihai Malaimare.. They all looked likely awards contenders, but as time goes on, Oscar nominations are beginning to seem less likely. The Master has divided opinion among filmgoers, but I think it's a masterpiece and everything about it deserves recognition.

It's brilliant. I'm hoping Laibach joins Clint Mansell and Trent Reznor as film-scorers drawn from the ranks of the industrial music scene.
