Do you have a video showing how to replace the fuel line? Mine is leaking. Great video too! I needed that
I do not but I’m sure someone must. It’s not very easy depending on how thick your new fuel line is. Try and get the same outer diameter fuel line as the old and do not use cheap fuel line. Go to your nearest lawn mower shop and get good fuel line. It will be easier to also take off the recoil housing to get the fuel line through from tank to the carburetor. The tricky part is getting the recoil housing back on as it is a very tight tolerance where the recoil housing and frame meet. Some try and pull the fuel line through but I’m my opinion, I have better luck taking recoil housing off. There are metal fingers behind the flywheel that hold the fuel line against the block and it can be very difficult to pull the fuel line through.
Thank you very informative

Hey thanks for the vid on the carb replacement. any tricks on changing the main fuel line. It disappears into an oblong hole on the gas tank side? Thanks in advance. Well paced video with great commentary. thx..
I do not have a video yet on that subject but I’m sure someone must. It’s not very easy depending on how thick your new fuel line is. You welcome! I'm glad it was helpful.
Thanks for the video. What are your thoughts on that model of JD snowblower and the Techumseh engines?
It is a older model but does what it’s suppose to die! Lol and the 5hp Tecumseh engines were just ok. When Tecumseh came out with the Snow King engine, that was a very good engine and still is. I think they started at 8hp and up for the snow king. The John Deere will die ok as long as you don’t have deep heavy snow. Just my opinion:) Thank you for watching and commenting.
Thanks Brad, the wire from the key on mine did break and you mentioned you had broken them before, is there a work around?
It depends on where it broke? If it broke at the ignition key switch? You can either replace the switch or just do not use it. The ignition will be cut off if you just throttle down to stop with the throttle lever. You will need to make sure the wire coming from the key switch does not come in contact with the frame as it will ground it out and the engine will have no spark. If it broke at the engine, you either can purchase the correct parts if they are available or depending on where it broke or you should be able to splice together the wire coming from the ignition coil to the ignition key switch and just use the key switch to turn ignition on and off.
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines thanks, it broke at the engine so I may just try to splice it together. Not sure I could find that wire as a part anywhere!
Is this it? www.jackssmallengines.com/jacks-parts-lookup/part/tecumseh/35182.
I think this is a better picture.www.partstree.com/parts/tecumseh-35182/
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines thanks for the help, it looks exactly like the green wire in your video, the broken clip does have a clip on the other side that holds it into the white plastic and I may try to just slip the wire from the key onto the other end and see what happens! Appreciate the quick response and help.
which fuel filter do you recommend ?
You can use many cross reference but the Briggs and Stratton #492932S or John Deere #am125424 would be the correct ones.
