- Using the sous vide method is a fabulous way to cook a pork tenderloin, as we show in this video. Paired with roasted Parmesan potatoes and a quick salad, this meal is a real treat to take on the trail.

she is not over-exaggerating. the level of ridiculous deliciousness is through the roof. sous vide pork tenderloin, 149 for 1.5 hours. this is the juiciest ultra lean meat i've ever tasted in my life. i did 149 degrees since i didnt want medium due to concerns with pork. i bought the smithfield one with mesquite marinade in it. didnt even open. just dropped in in the water and let it cook. seared it in a pan that i made bacon in from breakfast with all the bits and pieces, then added some mushrooms and finely diced vidalia onion. sauted until done, then deglazed with a merlot, veggie stock, and a tablespoon of tomato paste and finished with some cream and butter.
Thank you!
We love our SousVide! We use small hollow balls on top to keep the evaporation down for longer cooking. When I get a bulk buy of something I want to SousVide I will break it up and season then vacuum seal ready to go in. I have even taken meat straight from the freezer to the SousVide without thawing. Takes a little longer but still juicy and tasty (even chicken breast)
Thanks for the tips! Great information.
We bought a sous vide apparatus not long ago. I need to use it! Next trip to the grocery, tenderloin, it is!
I bet you will love the results!!!
Thank you for another great educational video & nutritional meal idea 🥰
You are so welcome!
Perfect tenderloin! Perfect idea! That’s his everyone should enjoy retirement. Keep seeing new places and keep going. That’s how you make it to 100!!
Thank you! Will do!
You should do a Sous Vide book. I'm just venturing into it. Wanted primarily for as you say, just a bit over cook and too dry. So Pork loin, chicken breast, salmon are some of my least favorite meats cuz I must overdo them.
Once I knew enough to do a book, I will certainly consider it. Thanks.
I have become more concerned about chemical leaching from plastics. I notice that you cook in bags and in plastic lunchboxes. Do you have any guidelines for cooking in plastics?
I don't, but that is a good idea. I will look into that topic. Thanks.
Bought books tonight bought suved however am in Canada so can’t use your Amazon link
Sorry it doesn't work there. I was not aware of that.
Just bought your bread book. So impressed! This book should be on the shelf of every household.
Thank you so much!
Another awesome video! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you.
I am loving the three compartment containers. Great for those made ahead meals for our camping trips. I had never heard of Sous Vide but it seems like a great addition to my kitchen. I just happened to buy a large Pork Loin from Costco today. I cut it into several meals for us and freeze. Pork loin is one of my favorite meals. I could almost smell yours, Pam.
It really turned out delicious!
Love my new Sous Vide.
Great to hear!
Please do more sous vide videos!
OK--will do.
That pork loin looks amazing. I have never tried cooking with the sous vide method. Very interesting.
It is both fun and easy not to mention delicious results!
Doesn't pork require 150 or 160F to be safe?

@@trailgrazers3690 Thanks!
I also am having problem with getting the 20% discount and have refreshed a few times
Not working for me either
Did not work for me either
The sale ended on the 5th at 5:00 PM Mountain time. Perhaps that was the problem. Sorry.
I have a Thermos brand thermal cooker pot that Ive had for years. I use it to transport hot soup/chili etc. It does a fabulous job maintaining the heat. Last night I used it to Sous Vide pork chops. Just add boiling water. It maintained a temp of 158. I checked temp periodically adding hot water if necessary. The chops turned out perfectly. I thought you might want to try this for your “Off Grid” cooking. A cooler could also be used. Thank you for your informative content.
Fantastic idea! Thanks for sharing!
Wow that cooker thing works pretty good eh. I guess living in the bush, I am out of touch with these modern gadgets hahahah. Thanks Pam. That meal looks so good 🌷🇨🇦
Thanks for watching! It is a pretty good gadget!
BTW, they do now make airfryer liners (look a lot like giant cupcake liners), which come in squares or rounds and various sizes.
I have seen those, but usually prefer to just do without. But I can see how helpful they would be.
Oops. I don’t think I got the 20% off? I finished my transaction about 6 minutes after six eastern time.
It should have worked. The sale closed on the 5th at 5:00 PM Mountain. If the sale price was not showing when you purchased, you probably did not refresh the page before you made your purchase. I will remind people to do that! Thanks.
I love the fact that you only show the important pieces as you go and don’t bother us with all chopping and so forth! Some channels get a little boring after awhile. Thanks again, great ideas always!
You are so welcome! We appreciate that. When we first started our channel we had just watched a video where we had to sit through every carrot peeled and chopped, every potato the same. It drove us nuts and we promised we would never do that! So, thanks for noticing!
I have a sous vide function on my instant pot. I’m going to give it a whirl 🎉
I am interested to see how it works!
Thank you. The meals look wonderful.
You are so welcome!
Is there a code for the book sale?
I'm not getting 20% off and I don't see anywhere to put a code in.
You might need to refresh the page to see the sale prices.

I tried that and it didn't work. The purchase went through but no discount
Delicious meal!
Thank you 😋
I love pork tenderloin. It is so easy to cook. I buy the pre-seasoned when they are on sale . The last time they were 2/$7 (Hormel). I noticed that they were different weights so, of course, I got the bigger ones.😊 So check the weights on them if they are sold as "2-for". Mine were 16-24 ounces.
MMMMMMMM, thanks for sharing
My pleasure 😊
