Cooking food in my house isn't an inconvenience to others or a matter of manners. Unlike loud music, which has a decibel metric that can harm human ears, or sports that pose physical risks, there isn't a clear metric for aromas. Some people may dislike the smell of perfume or jasmine. Does this mean we should stop allowing the use of perfumes and flowers since it could inconvenience some? Ithule Enna sir hypocrisy?

I am not saying you to stop eating Non- Vegetarian food, all i am saying is to be considerate of other people also. If everyone in a society is considerate and compassionate then there is no need to frame rules itself.

I know you have all the rights to cook or eat whatever you want in your house, but all I am saying is to be kind and considerate of Vegetarian people around you. In a society, it should be a win-win for everyone. Not allowing vegetable vendors, is not a balanced solution, but a typical eye for eye, tit for tat attitude. There is no inconvenience caused to anyone by vegetable sellers, which is not the case with meat sellers. A better solution would be a separate passage to meat vendors and if that's not possible, vendors selling meat with concealed packaging preventing smell would be ideal. You did mention that the bathroom smell can be unpleasant, and I am talking about the same unpleasantness caused for vegetarians. We need not talk about the majority, minority scenario to have basic etiquettes. Rights come with responsibilities as well in a society living. This is applicable for Vegetarians too. For example every one has the right to have their door open all the time, but if I have a new born baby or a constantly coughing patient at home, I would myself have the door closed being considerate of others. Even if there is no vegetarian at all in your society it is still a good practice to try and keep down the smell of anything you cook or consume to yourself and not everyone. If you keep having the attitude of "my house my rules" unfortunately these basic etiquettes have to be framed as rules by the society and sooner or later will be imposed on you.
