@@Tutaman This is why I love the first half of One Piece so much. The battles are so much chance and tactics based and there is no scaling factor like Reatsu/Chakra/Haki. There are no Power Tier lists because someone with an OP ability could be knocked out by someone with some weird normally useless power. All the mechanics and powers and skills are there for the reader/viewer to have fun - thats it.
One piece fights shouldn't be taken seriously as luffy gets away with villains not being ruthless..only crocodile was the good one killing luffy but yeah plot saves him twice as for many fights to come... he should have died vs magelan, kizaru,katakuri and kaido...if there was a cell or frieza luffy would have been done long time ago...And luffy has big backing with garp,dragon,rayleigh that saved him few times eg kuma and aokiji..but world building and humor is what OP is goated for...DBZ and Naruto excels is Action@@Tutaman

None of them are like each other and they always feel fresh. Skypiea is the only arc where I like the entire side cast. Wyper, Conis, Aisa, Pagaya, Laki, gosh they're all so good. This arc has my fav side cast along with Alabasta and Drum Island.

Oda is a genius. In the last major arc he gave us a villain in crocodile who Luffy struggled to hit and had to innovate a bit to finally land a blow on. In this one, he reverses the odds. The villain has the weakness to Luffy's power and must find a way to bypass that weakness. Sheer brilliance.
A lot of people actually commented on previous video but i am explaining again... Zoan types are basically transformation types... Like how chopper is a raindeer but transformed into human by eating human human fruit( hito hito no mi) Logia types is basically becoming that substance, for example, ace is fire... He can not only produce fire but his body can become completely like a fire... Smoker being a smoke, and crocodile being sand Paramythia( or also called as paramecia) is basically everything that is not in zoan and logia types... Like how luffy's body is rubber ( which sounds like logia but its not cuz he cant create rubber but his body is stretchable) or buggy who cant be fit in logia( no elemental property) or zoan(no transformation) Overall the most difficult to understand is if a fruit is paramecia and logia, oda is kind of loose on this one.. his writing is more focused on story so things like devil fruits will not be understood perfectly untill its full explained in the story later on, he kinda dont even care even about power levels, like how eneru is so strong that he could take out zoro, robin ,wiper and sanji but a rubber guy is competing with him now.... Technically it doesnt make sense for someone who have watched the series and knows about logia proerties and mantra things but its what oda is, more focused on his story, less focused on small things like power levels but that doesn't mean that he don't explain things... I think its safe to give a short explanation about the devil fruits now since you guys also got the gist of it, so there are three kinds of devil fruits: 1. Zoan: Allows the user to transform into some kind of animal, e.g. Chopper's Human Human fruit model: Human, Pell's Bird Bird fruit model: Falcon, and Dalton's Ox Ox fruit model: Bison. 2. Logia: Gives elemental type abilities effectively turning the users body into that element making typical attacks to just pass through them, e.g. Ace's Fire fruit, Crocodile's Sand fruit and of course, Enel's Lightning fruit. 3. Paramecia/Paramythia: Basically every other fruit that doesn't fit into the above two categories goes into this category, e.g. Buggy's Chop Chop fruit, Robin's Flower Flower fruit.

Just wanted to say that depending on which official translation you're going with, they can be either "Paramythia" as you saw, or "Paramecia" devil fruits. Also, Enel refers to "Endless Vearth" here, but it's also written phonetically-- and has also been translated-- as "Fairy Vearth" (i.e. a double meaning). BTW Paramecia/Paramythia type devil fruit users would be like Mr. 3 or Mr. 1 from Alabasta arc. Mr. 3 can make wax and his body might have wax properties but he can't let attacks go through him without dodging like Crocodile, Smoker, and Ace can. That's almost exclusively a logia fruit thing. (Logia devil fruit like Enel's have to be a naturally occurring substance or force. They can't be artificial.)
The fact you guys are so in depth with the discussion of the fruit types and specifically trying to figure out why Luffy's fruit is an oddity puts you years ahead of other OP fans with the theories.
Zoan = You can become animals Paramythia (although its actually Paramecia) = You gain an attribute (like Rubber, or being able to split, or change your face) but inside you are still the same flesh and bones as everyone else Logia = You become whatever the Logia is (So if the Logia is Sand you become sand, include everything inside, same as Eneru)
If you remember, it was already shown in the show that devil fruits have weaknesses or can counter each other. At alabasta Ace fought smoker and said that there fight is pointless, as a fight between smoke and fire is pointless. And also crocodile who has a logia had water as his only weakness that countered his powers. Crocodile would turn into the Glass-Glass fruit. Presumably, [the Blue Pheasant]'s power would have problems against the Rumble-Rumble fruit as well, or maybe that would just make for a hella unstable fight. What I'd be interested in is a matchup against [the Yellow Monkey]'s ability.
it's true that Eneru isnt exactly in a league of his own strength-wise when the full series is compared, but given the effect on human anatomy electricity has, he would be able to hold his own against the majority. without luffy's immunity to his energy attacks, any of the most powerful characters in the series would have trouble tanking 200 million volts, which is about 2000x the amount that will probably kill you, and that increases by 10x if your skin is broken.
@@curtishammer748 Crocodile did fight a very angry red dog without turning into glass. the main problems with eneru are his insane reach and speed, he could keep you at bay and smite you over ans over, very few people could close the gap easily. but since he was stupid enough to let Wiper get close enough to touch him.... this kind of mistake could cost him his head against someone more serious.
@@emmanooooo There is a way to get around any fruit ability. The fruit's power is ultimately limited to the user's own power. Eneru's fruit is very strong, but he isn't that powerful beyond that. Luffy on the other hand is already scratching at the surface of something deeper without even knowing it.
If Luffy's Devil Fruit hadn't turned out to be a direct counter to Eneru's DF, the Strawhats' journey would have ended on Sky Island. Seeing Zoro getting defeated easily hammers the point home that Eneru would have been, under any other circumstance, way beyond the Crews' abilities at this point. He really came across as completely unbeatable and (rightfully) entirely confident until this episode, making the moment where he *completely* looses his composure when he realizes for the first time in his life that his powers don't work one of the Series' most satisfying moments
What I do love though is that Oda still doesn’t make this an easy win for Luffy by making Eneru a skilled, strategic and intelligent fighter who immediately adapts to his situation. I feel like many writers would make the hero overpowered in that kind of setting.

One thing that I really like is that Luffy is very combat smart, confronted with something unknow like Mantra in this case, he's testing things against his enemy, sometimes ridiculous as heck, but very effective, and that's a constant through the series, it's so good.

In the world of one piece, the devil fruits are put into tree categories. The zoan-type that gives the gift of a animal (choppers human human fruit is also this). The logia-type is mostly nature elements, like smoker’s plume-plume fruit or crocodiles sand-sand fruit. All that doesnt fit in above is considered Paramythia, as Ruffy’s gum-gum fruit and Buggy’s chop-chop fruit.
Paramecia type - devil fruit that alters a person's body in a direct manner ie Luffy becoming a rubber man or Mr. 5 being able to make any part of his body an explosive. This type is also most common. Zoan type - devil fruit typically with the name of some kind of animal giving the ability to transform into said animal and take on characteristics of it ie Chopper being able to talk and walk on 2 legs or Dalton from Drum island being able to turn into a bull. Logia type - grants the user control over some type of elemental force ie Eneru with lightning or Crocodile with sand. This is also the rarest type.
Everyone says Luffy is dumb by the first judgement, he ain't dumb he just act like one and the reason is he loves to mess around. He is pretty intelligent, he use a useless power with such high potency, he can see through people, his sense of judging people is on point and he can easily figure out people's emotions by just looking at their face (Nami was the best example of it when no one was sure what's the case, luffy realized just by looking at her face that she's suffering. robin too he saw right through robin). Another example of him not being dumb is that he never trust people's words, he always prioritize to see for himself and that's why he never trusted koby when koby was framing zoro as demon or villian, he just told koby i wanna see him and he never trusted his words unless he saw Zoro himself and "zoro eating those rice balls the small girl made for him".
Skypeia is such a great arc. People can hate on it all they want but it's always one of my favorites to rewatch and watch with others. I'm sure plenty of people have told you this is a really important arc to remember in regards to foreshadowing future episodes, but episode 182 and 183 in particular are REALLY important to remember because a few things pop back up as key plot points later on.

Logia, Paramecia, Zoan - these are three Devil Fruit types you encountered Zoan - the Fruit eater can transform into an Animal or a hybrid form (e.g. Dalton with his Bull Bull fruit) Logia - the Fruit eater IS the element and can create the element (e.g. Crocodile, Ace, Enel/Eneru) Paramecia is everything else. Mister 3 can create wax but in no wax himself, so he is a paramecia. Same as if for example somebody can create heat and therefore fires but the body stays human.
Well the three DF types you mentioned can be simplified as: Zoan: Animal shape shifting Logia: Can create various things based on the type and has a built in defense of a "liquid" body. so impacts on it just deforms the body similar to how water would just flow to side if you put you feet into a pool. Thus allowing them to be referred to as "Invincible" as you saw with Crocodile and Eneru there can be used a counter measure to prevent the defense however. Paramythia/Paramecia: Is a kind of dump category for things that doesn't behave like the ones above. Luffy's fruit makes his body rubber but doesn't allow shape shift or to create rubber. Mr. 3 the wax guy can create wax but doesn't have a liquid body and his body isn't made of wax. Or like Mr. 2 that could mimic the appearance of another by touching their face. Does allow shape shift but not by itself and isn't limited to something specific like a zoan fruit would be. Hence they get put as this category. So when Eneru refers to luffy keeping his normal form he means that he has a physical body that he knows that he can make contact with.
I'm about 500 episodes into this point, and I can easily say that this is one of the best fights so far, and has one of the most satisfying outcomes. Even better than Crocodile. I think that the more sadistic these villains are the more satisfying it is to see them get taken down.

Deathpeia is actually even more creative when you realise its pronounced as desupia in Japanese which sounds like despair. Double pun. Oda is a master when it comes to puns. He uses it a lot.
Zoan users transform into animals, Logias transform into elements, Paramecia (or Paramythia) would be "the rest". Three Guy and Bon Chan are good examples. The one creates (by "secretion") and controls wax but he can't become wax himself. The other is able to change form but beacuse of the particular ability that the fruit gives him.
Eneru realizing luffy is rubber is absolutely one of the best moments in the series as of this arc LOL. Although Skypeia is a bit slow they certainly built up the climax pretty well.
they should be a couple of Powers who are immuned to lightning, other than Luffy. most Logia would not be affected i guess. other than that, Eneru would be almost invincible if he was more carefull.

Ep 182 has to be one of the great one with Eneru’s shocked face. But I think a lot of people miss out and don’t give credit to and miss the moment/reveal that the reason the White Berets had so many rules/laws was ACTUALLY to PROTECT the people from Eneru and his priests.
Once again we grt an episode where a lot of stuff is happening as Enel's finale plan is put in motion, with what seems like no way of stopping it! Luffy was amazing in this episode! After being trapped inside a huge snake for god knows how long, we finally get to se him shine in action, just like in the previous episode.. and it was worth it! It was really a treat to see Luffy and Enel trying to outdo each other by figurering out how their powers! The last part of the episode was just pure hype! I was really surprissed at how tense and exciting it got! The cliffhanger was crazy.. best one so far!

Gum Gum Airhead is the equivalent to the the chinese Drunken Master technique - a fighter who has shut off his awareness and operates fully on instinct. Absolutely not predictable since there is no planning behind it.
You've got to love the Luffy vs. Enel fight. At first, it looks like Luffy has the natural advantage, since his rubber fruit blocks Enel's lightning attacks. But Luffy's attacks are... hitting the opponent, with punches and kicks. And Enel's mantra and literally lightning fast reflexes mean that he can dodge all of Luffy's attacks. So this is a fight between two characters who are immune to each other's attacks, both of them out of their element, Enel has to use increasingly clever tactics, Luffy has to use increasingly insane tactics. It's just great.
I do prefer the other translation of Enel's reply to Puffy answering what the King of the Pirates waa. "Thats impressive." Seems a little sarcastic. "A laudable title." Still comes of as sarcastic but in the way that Enel doesn't think Luffy has the bite to match his bark but still finds such a potential King worthy of governing such territory with zakd title.
Zoan devil fruits let you transform into a living being. And shown with Choppers fruit, they might inherently apply some basic characteristics of that being into you permanently. Logia devil fruits let you transform into an element, create seemingly infinite amounts of that element, and control it in any way they see fit. Shown with Smoker being touched by the little girl running into his leg and Luffy hitting him from behind catching him by surprise, shows they need to actively transform into their element to be their invulnerable selves. Unlike Luffy and Mr. 1 who are permanently their substance. Paramecia devil fruits are any power that isen't any of the other types. For example the Wax-wax fruit let's you create and control Wax at will, but you can't transform into it in any way.

One piece fights shouldn't be taken seriously as luffy gets away with villains not being ruthless..only crocodile was the good one killing luffy but yeah plot saves him twice as for many fights to come... he should have died vs magelan, kizaru,katakuri and kaido...if there was a cell or frieza luffy would have been done long time ago...And luffy has big backing with garp,dragon,rayleigh that saved him few times eg kuma and aokiji..but world building and humor is what OP is goated for...DBZ and Naruto excels is Action@@Tutaman

Oda is a genius. In the last major arc he gave us a villain in crocodile who Luffy struggled to hit and had to innovate a bit to finally land a blow on. In this one, he reverses the odds. The villain has the weakness to Luffy's power and must find a way to bypass that weakness. Sheer brilliance.

Zoan types are basically transformation types... Like how chopper is a raindeer but transformed into human by eating human human fruit( hito hito no mi)
Logia types is basically becoming that substance, for example, ace is fire... He can not only produce fire but his body can become completely like a fire... Smoker being a smoke, and crocodile being sand
Paramythia( or also called as paramecia) is basically everything that is not in zoan and logia types... Like how luffy's body is rubber ( which sounds like logia but its not cuz he cant create rubber but his body is stretchable) or buggy who cant be fit in logia( no elemental property) or zoan(no transformation)
Overall the most difficult to understand is if a fruit is paramecia and logia, oda is kind of loose on this one.. his writing is more focused on story so things like devil fruits will not be understood perfectly untill its full explained in the story later on, he kinda dont even care even about power levels, like how eneru is so strong that he could take out zoro, robin ,wiper and sanji but a rubber guy is competing with him now.... Technically it doesnt make sense for someone who have watched the series and knows about logia proerties and mantra things but its what oda is, more focused on his story, less focused on small things like power levels but that doesn't mean that he don't explain things... Its just it takes time and he loves making mysteries ( fun fact, a big youtuber actually made a video on how many mysteries one piece have- it was around 150, or something 💀💀)

I think its safe to give a short explanation about the devil fruits now since you guys also got the gist of it, so there are three kinds of devil fruits:
1. Zoan: Allows the user to transform into some kind of animal, e.g. Chopper's Human Human fruit model: Human, Pell's Bird Bird fruit model: Falcon, and Dalton's Ox Ox fruit model: Bison.
2. Logia: Gives elemental type abilities effectively turning the users body into that element making typical attacks to just pass through them, e.g. Ace's Fire fruit, Crocodile's Sand fruit and of course, Enel's Lightning fruit.
3. Paramecia/Paramythia: Basically every other fruit that doesn't fit into the above two categories goes into this category, e.g. Buggy's Chop Chop fruit, Robin's Flower Flower fruit.

As awesome as the more recent arcs and sagas have been, it makes sense that longtime fans are nostalgic for a time when fights were as simple as "water beats the sand power, of course!" Or "rubber beats lightning, duh!"

Just wanted to say that depending on which official translation you're going with, they can be either "Paramythia" as you saw, or "Paramecia" devil fruits. Also, Enel refers to "Endless Vearth" here, but it's also written phonetically-- and has also been translated-- as "Fairy Vearth" (i.e. a double meaning).
BTW Paramecia/Paramythia type devil fruit users would be like Mr. 3 or Mr. 1 from Alabasta arc. Mr. 3 can make wax and his body might have wax properties but he can't let attacks go through him without dodging like Crocodile, Smoker, and Ace can. That's almost exclusively a logia fruit thing. (Logia devil fruit like Enel's have to be a naturally occurring substance or force. They can't be artificial.)
The fact you guys are so in depth with the discussion of the fruit types and specifically trying to figure out why Luffy's fruit is an oddity puts you years ahead of other OP fans with the theories.
Zoan = You can become animals
Paramythia (although its actually Paramecia) = You gain an attribute (like Rubber, or being able to split, or change your face) but inside you are still the same flesh and bones as everyone else
Logia = You become whatever the Logia is (So if the Logia is Sand you become sand, include everything inside, same as Eneru)
If you remember, it was already shown in the show that devil fruits have weaknesses or can counter each other. At alabasta Ace fought smoker and said that there fight is pointless, as a fight between smoke and fire is pointless. And also crocodile who has a logia had water as his only weakness that countered his powers.
Paramecia - Physical Capabilities (Superhuman Abilities)
Logia - Rarest, said to be most powerul type, Elemental Control
Zoan - Animal Metamorphosis

Crocodile would turn into the Glass-Glass fruit. Presumably, [the Blue Pheasant]'s power would have problems against the Rumble-Rumble fruit as well, or maybe that would just make for a hella unstable fight. What I'd be interested in is a matchup against [the Yellow Monkey]'s ability.
it's true that Eneru isnt exactly in a league of his own strength-wise when the full series is compared, but given the effect on human anatomy electricity has, he would be able to hold his own against the majority. without luffy's immunity to his energy attacks, any of the most powerful characters in the series would have trouble tanking 200 million volts, which is about 2000x the amount that will probably kill you, and that increases by 10x if your skin is broken.

the main problems with eneru are his insane reach and speed, he could keep you at bay and smite you over ans over, very few people could close the gap easily.
but since he was stupid enough to let Wiper get close enough to touch him.... this kind of mistake could cost him his head against someone more serious.
@@emmanooooo There is a way to get around any fruit ability. The fruit's power is ultimately limited to the user's own power. Eneru's fruit is very strong, but he isn't that powerful beyond that. Luffy on the other hand is already scratching at the surface of something deeper without even knowing it.

If Luffy's Devil Fruit hadn't turned out to be a direct counter to Eneru's DF, the Strawhats' journey would have ended on Sky Island. Seeing Zoro getting defeated easily hammers the point home that Eneru would have been, under any other circumstance, way beyond the Crews' abilities at this point. He really came across as completely unbeatable and (rightfully) entirely confident until this episode, making the moment where he *completely* looses his composure when he realizes for the first time in his life that his powers don't work one of the Series' most satisfying moments
What I do love though is that Oda still doesn’t make this an easy win for Luffy by making Eneru a skilled, strategic and intelligent fighter who immediately adapts to his situation. I feel like many writers would make the hero overpowered in that kind of setting.

One thing that I really like is that Luffy is very combat smart, confronted with something unknow like Mantra in this case, he's testing things against his enemy, sometimes ridiculous as heck, but very effective, and that's a constant through the series, it's so good.

In the world of one piece, the devil fruits are put into tree categories.
The zoan-type that gives the gift of a animal (choppers human human fruit is also this).
The logia-type is mostly nature elements, like smoker’s plume-plume fruit or crocodiles sand-sand fruit.
All that doesnt fit in above is considered Paramythia, as Ruffy’s gum-gum fruit and Buggy’s chop-chop fruit.
Paramecia type - devil fruit that alters a person's body in a direct manner ie Luffy becoming a rubber man or Mr. 5 being able to make any part of his body an explosive. This type is also most common.
Zoan type - devil fruit typically with the name of some kind of animal giving the ability to transform into said animal and take on characteristics of it ie Chopper being able to talk and walk on 2 legs or Dalton from Drum island being able to turn into a bull.
Logia type - grants the user control over some type of elemental force ie Eneru with lightning or Crocodile with sand. This is also the rarest type.
Everyone says Luffy is dumb by the first judgement, he ain't dumb he just act like one and the reason is he loves to mess around. He is pretty intelligent, he use a useless power with such high potency, he can see through people, his sense of judging people is on point and he can easily figure out people's emotions by just looking at their face (Nami was the best example of it when no one was sure what's the case, luffy realized just by looking at her face that she's suffering. robin too he saw right through robin).
Another example of him not being dumb is that he never trust people's words, he always prioritize to see for himself and that's why he never trusted koby when koby was framing zoro as demon or villian, he just told koby i wanna see him and he never trusted his words unless he saw Zoro himself and "zoro eating those rice balls the small girl made for him".
Skypeia is such a great arc. People can hate on it all they want but it's always one of my favorites to rewatch and watch with others. I'm sure plenty of people have told you this is a really important arc to remember in regards to foreshadowing future episodes, but episode 182 and 183 in particular are REALLY important to remember because a few things pop back up as key plot points later on.
Devil Fruit Taxonomy:
Zoan: Can fully or partially turn into an animal (Dalton, Pell, Chaka, Lassoo, Miss Merry Christmas, Pierre, Tony Tony Chopper)
Logia: Can turn into and produce (and manipulate) a naturally occurring substance (Smoker, Sir Crocodile, Enel, Portgas D. Ace)
Paramecia (also written as Paramythia): Everything else, no matter what. (Buggy, Alvida, Mr. 5, Mr. 3, Mr. 2, Mr. 1, Miss Valentine, Miss Double Finger (*), Nico Robin)
(*) It's worth mentioning that Miss Golden Week doesn't have a DF. Her Colour Trap is a form of hypnosis.

Here’s a little devil fruit info
Logia means your body is made out of and can create something like smoker and crocodile
Zoan means you can turn into an animal like chopper and Pell

Logia, Paramecia, Zoan - these are three Devil Fruit types you encountered
Zoan - the Fruit eater can transform into an Animal or a hybrid form (e.g. Dalton with his Bull Bull fruit)
Logia - the Fruit eater IS the element and can create the element (e.g. Crocodile, Ace, Enel/Eneru)
Paramecia is everything else. Mister 3 can create wax but in no wax himself, so he is a paramecia. Same as if for example somebody can create heat and therefore fires but the body stays human.
Well the three DF types you mentioned can be simplified as:
Zoan: Animal shape shifting
Logia: Can create various things based on the type and has a built in defense of a "liquid" body. so impacts on it just deforms the body similar to how water would just flow to side if you put you feet into a pool. Thus allowing them to be referred to as "Invincible" as you saw with Crocodile and Eneru there can be used a counter measure to prevent the defense however.
Paramythia/Paramecia: Is a kind of dump category for things that doesn't behave like the ones above. Luffy's fruit makes his body rubber but doesn't allow shape shift or to create rubber. Mr. 3 the wax guy can create wax but doesn't have a liquid body and his body isn't made of wax. Or like Mr. 2 that could mimic the appearance of another by touching their face. Does allow shape shift but not by itself and isn't limited to something specific like a zoan fruit would be. Hence they get put as this category.
So when Eneru refers to luffy keeping his normal form he means that he has a physical body that he knows that he can make contact with.

I'm about 500 episodes into this point, and I can easily say that this is one of the best fights so far, and has one of the most satisfying outcomes. Even better than Crocodile. I think that the more sadistic these villains are the more satisfying it is to see them get taken down.

Zoan users transform into animals, Logias transform into elements, Paramecia (or Paramythia) would be "the rest". Three Guy and Bon Chan are good examples. The one creates (by "secretion") and controls wax but he can't become wax himself. The other is able to change form but beacuse of the particular ability that the fruit gives him.

Eneru realizing luffy is rubber is absolutely one of the best moments in the series as of this arc LOL. Although Skypeia is a bit slow they certainly built up the climax pretty well.

Luffy was amazing in this episode! After being trapped inside a huge snake for god knows how long, we finally get to se him shine in action, just like in the previous episode.. and it was worth it!
It was really a treat to see Luffy and Enel trying to outdo each other by figurering out how their powers!
The last part of the episode was just pure hype! I was really surprissed at how tense and exciting it got!

You've got to love the Luffy vs. Enel fight. At first, it looks like Luffy has the natural advantage, since his rubber fruit blocks Enel's lightning attacks. But Luffy's attacks are... hitting the opponent, with punches and kicks. And Enel's mantra and literally lightning fast reflexes mean that he can dodge all of Luffy's attacks. So this is a fight between two characters who are immune to each other's attacks, both of them out of their element, Enel has to use increasingly clever tactics, Luffy has to use increasingly insane tactics.
It's just great.

Luffy its one of the best anime characters with battle intelligence that can adapt very well in the fight
Zoan devil fruits let you transform into a living being. And shown with Choppers fruit, they might inherently apply some basic characteristics of that being into you permanently.
Logia devil fruits let you transform into an element, create seemingly infinite amounts of that element, and control it in any way they see fit.
Shown with Smoker being touched by the little girl running into his leg and Luffy hitting him from behind catching him by surprise, shows they need to actively transform into their element to be their invulnerable selves. Unlike Luffy and Mr. 1 who are permanently their substance.
Paramecia devil fruits are any power that isen't any of the other types. For example the Wax-wax fruit let's you create and control Wax at will, but you can't transform into it in any way.
The original land of the Sky people is the moon. They are aliens from the Moon. And that is also meant to be the promised land of Enel's people ""the Vearth land - Endless Vearth"". Also this is not the Earth of today, something happened to the planet to increase it's size to bigger than Jupiter.
