Hadlee was a highly talented batsman, but didn't take batting seriously as NZ needed more of his bowling services than batting. Having said that he was no ordinary batsman & could have achieved greater heights had he concentrated more on his batting.
Richard Hadlee was a great allrounder.
Maybe it's just me but i thought Richard Hadlee was an underrated batsman
Hadlee got better as he got older. I'm sure he batted at number 11 early in his career.
