Recently i went to show room they push me continuously to buy invertor AC , i asked for stabilizer to them. They told not need it is waste of cost. Then i cancelled and reached my friend brother he is AC technician advise me to buy non invertor AC also help me to get at best price.

today i selected 4130+ and purchased ( my 2nd option everest rose color 400 d)
last 5 years we used 150v to 270 v cutoff stabilizer
this 2024 summer lot of fluctuation easily voltage drop to 150 and stabilizer cutoff whole night
As I recommend don't buy branded stabilizer because main parts transformer is aluminium so I am suggesting buy assembled stabilizer with copper transformer.

Do we need a stabilizer for an inverter AC which is advertised for stabilizer free operation(100v to 290v). Eg in a Panasonic AC.
It is not required but there are circumstances out of our control. In my case, due improper fixing of jammer in transformer in my area voltage went as high as 400v. My tv didn't have stablizer and it went faulty, while those connected to stablizer escaped. In case of ac, it's a ticking timebomb, if the earthing and wiring is not proper.

என்னிடம் microtek em4160 stabilizer உள்ளது. 5 no bldc fan உள்ளது. இரவில் எங்கள் வீட்டு voltage 250+ வருகிறது. Fan எல்லாம் ups circuit ல் உள்ளது இந்த stabilizer ஐ continous ஆக use செய்து fan ஐ பாதுகாக்கலாமா. Ups circuit total load 500w குறைவு

As an electrical guy I don't believe the rating label. Low/high cutoff should be tested with Variac. Many reputed brands have failed this test.
Then both primary and secondary coils should be of copper irrespective of brand. Many AC units have failed and the issues are due to the faulty stabilizers mostly assembled in Delhi and surrounding areas.

Well, If you want a working one then you have to spend around 8 to 10 K for 1.5 ton AC. Be sure it has serial numbered test certificate.
