State of emergency? They put up a Christmas tree... Speaking of trees, they appear to be in abundance in Moldova, use them instead of decorating them...
Moldova was going to play on the pity side as always) playing the victim, saying they only used Russian gas for Pridnestrove that is supported by Russia. But seems like Russia run out of patience and it all came clear that it's not just Prodnestrove that was vitally dependent on Russian gas)
Moldova pays for it's gas, the only problem is no more "free" gas for russian proxy "Transnistria". They could easily buy gas in Europe and get it through Ukraine or Romania.
This gaz will be much more expensive for the moldovans. So your ''easily'' is not an easy pill to swallow.

Actually it was Ukraine who stopped the gas.
London will help them.
hahaha
Washington too. They are reliable suppliers of four times less expensive gas and will not destroy them if they are late with payments.
They have had 3 years to solve this

Russia: here's some cheap gas, you'll pay the difference when you're part of our "federation".
I don’t see how this move solves anything. We are just going deeper and deeper into global economic crisis. Already, standard of living is stretched out too thin.
Russia‘s war ends and the world‘s economies can recover and rebuild
Ukrainians are being killed every day. What standards? WTF is wrong with you?
They've had 3 years and haven't paid Ukraine.
You’ve had plenty of time to prepare for this!
We're else is selling cheap gas?
and what exactly should they have done? whip up a nuclear power plant? build a brand new gas pipeline across the content to some other supplier? What exactly is the plan here that Moldova can afford? LNG from america isn't a bit more expense its heading towards 5 times the cost , is Ukraine going to subsidize this loss? Moldova last Time I checked was not at war with Russia either.
The Sandu government in Moldova simply decided not to pay for gas and thought that the gas would flow to Moldova on its own.
@@konstantinbush295 If what I heard is correct, Russia wants Moldova to pay for the gas used by the Russian occupied Transnistria part of Moldova, which includes paying the gas bill of the occupying Russian forces.
They just "prepare" for "EU should pay" their bills ... like Ukraine gets paid its war ... and pro-EU Georgians wish and dream of...
They had all this time to prepare and did nothing???
For people blaming Russia.. for you can you continue supplies of your commodity without payments for a long tym. Let's be sncia.. let Moldova pay and then they get the gas
let's Sheriff Corporation from Transnistria pay for gas
Moldova cannot afford to pay for cheap Russian gas. The solution must be to buy expensive American gas. This seems to be an impeccable plan.
They made these devices called solar panels. I suggest you find some.
Production companies can't rely on that though
In Finland we stopped using gas and are now mostly using renewable energy sources. Feels good to not to be reliable on terroruzzian gas.
Typical thing - no gas - no money. Try not to pay for your gas at home and see what will happen.
without cheep energy Europe can not compete in global competition of GDP. say thank you to all green activists for closing down nuclear plants. Putin now salute you!
Europe survived two world wars and flourished after it was horribly destroyed.
It will do fine again, they are smart people.
So how come that the countries that replies the most on russian gas, are all poor?
Onky Germany shut down their nuclear plants and they are starting power then up again. Germans might make stupid decisions in the past, mut in reality energy cost is very small part those cost, when you are making high valuable products.
Not-so-rich countries of EU have been receiving cheap gas, mostly gas from Azerbaijan. Most likely Moldova will also get one of these deals. Otherwise, other gas options are too expensive for Moldova.
None of these countries should be supplying Russia with blood money anyway.
blood money?hao about middle east and all places where democratic values where pushed?effing hypocrites
Lazy people. They had years to find alternatives to Russia's gas.

The fact that you ask this question just show that you don't know what you are talking about.
why not using they gas? or you want buy expensive gas from usa?
It is gas and it is cheap, why are you asking this question?
Why would any country purchase Gas from a War Criminal country like the United States is a better question
Because. you are sleep
It's the Ukraine war and how EU acted that clearly showed me that wearing a suit, and making a speech on TV aren't necessarily hallmarks of wisdom.
So cut Ukraine's aid and use that to pay for American gas. Books balanced.
Better to double down on Ukraine aid and rectify the problem.
No Ivan!
was there any help?
Give more aid to Ukraine, kick out Russia, get gas even cheaper for decades to come, WIN!
Good , they should of stood with Europe on this , this was always going to happen. Let them go join Russia and see how that works out for them.
This should take care of the global warming issue 😂
It certainly hasn’t helped with teaching you compassion.
It's too late to take care of the global warming issue. It was too late a decade ago.

The amount of people who think Ukraine somehow doesn't have the right to decide what passes or not through it's territory is insane. Moldova, Slovakia and Hungary don't have any say on the matter. If they are so close to Putin, maybe they should consider pushing him to end the war 😂.
They have a say. Especially Moldova, since they let the Ukrainian refugees in, and shared their few with them. Why do you even put in the same league Moldova with Hungary?
You should really avoid calling independent countries "ex soviet republic", because you too had some shameful historical developments, and if someone ever y time would repeat that, you may be pissed, not very smart prepotent ex imperialists.
It just means they were annexed, no fault of their own.

Ukraine has not stopped gas deliveries but the deal has ended, and no new contract will be signed. This has been known since the deal was signed and clarified since the escalation of the Ukraine war. If Moldova, Slovakia, or any other nation was invaded, would you, as a nation, be happy with giving billions to support your enemy that has invaded you? Ukraine has honoured the signed deal even if it was not in their interest to do so, giving countries years to prepare for this. What countries have done to counter this is not in the hands of Ukraine, they have been clear about this.
I’m pretty sure the EU has a similar gdp to the US. Russia has the same gdp as New York. The EU can afford to float Moldova some gas until they figure this out. Russia can keep their gas
Perhaps a year or two. Min problem is at Moldova is so poor. It is the biggest issue.
Surely, since the US has people as rich as Elon Musk, nobody there is living on the streets. /s
GDP isn't a good indicator of what countries can or can't afford. At the very least, because most of that wealth isn't available for public spending and is privately owned by a small group of people.
You would have extremely hard time convincing people they need to pay more money to help some foreign country, when they're already having trouble paying to heat their own homes.
Moldova should hold their president responsible for the predicament they are in.
Western propaganda at its best
How so
At its worst actually. All the lies and deceit are too easy to find out these days.
Guess what? The people citizens of Moldova will cope with the consequences and raised prices. Not their politicians. Good luck, Moldova. It is not always wise to choose the easiest path, the one leading to the EU.
