Same fault on my van. Just had all 4 glow plugs changed and gonna replace the sensor tomorrow. Fingers crossed that is all that’s up. 🤞🏻 Thanks for the video! 🙌🏻
Having changed all the glow plugs on my Transit Custom 2.2 I’ve had the exact same code pop up! so you sir have saved me a lot of searching And for that I thank you 🍻 is it a coincidence I have no idea but better to just get a new one anyway, I was thinking that it might have been down to the EGR as I cleaned that along with the Throttle Body @ Inlet Ports, I also fitted a new Inlet Manifold, nothing worse then sorting things & when you scan it again something else pops up it’s ugly head and you have no idea why. I’m just a plastic Mechanic by the way so only worked on the old school technology, these modern transits are a minefield. No following and thanks again 👍
I know this is an old video now. But just had to replace 3 & 4 glow plugs due to failure although changed all four. Like you I now have this code/issue and I’m wondering if undoing the sensor and turning it 90 degrees to access the intake bolt it’s damaged it or become dirty etc. now you showing the voltage of good vs bad I can test this on forscan. Thanks for the video and hopefully this is my easy fix 👍🏻
@@deisediagnostics629 Sure enough forscan was showing it settled at 0.45v then 0.55v when running. Lucky enough a friend breaks and fixes transits and I managed to swap over an old one of his and straight away back to normal 😅 thanks again 👍🏻
Nice. My Custom is going into limp mode when cruising on motorway but only when I put it in 6th gear. Error code 2598. I've changed the actuator...no fix. Will replacing this sensor do the trick you think? And is it easy to replace or will I need to take it to a pro? Cheers for any help.

Fingers crossed!🤞 thanks for watching
Very thorough testing Alan, it’s a bit unusual to see the signal wire to one side & not in the middle. Thanks for sharing 👍👍
Thanks dude 👍👍

The boost pressure sensor is easy and cheap to change but I don’t know if it will get rid of your code
👍👍
