Episode 09
Pawning Reagan
"Pawn Stars" follows three generations of the Harrison family as they assess the value of items coming in and out of their Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, from the commonplace to the truly historic.

that guy is such a good person and so polite
Maybe because he is English and not American.
sandgrownun66
I'm English and all the American people I've spoken to have been really nice 👍
@@benchmark7748 OK, so English people are not known for their manners and politeness then?
@@sandgrownun66 You are thinking of Canadians, and even then that is just a stereotype.
@@mtggeeksgaming5064 Canadians? What have they got to do with this?
"I love these guys!"
Who doesn't! Laurel and Hardy FOREVER!
I loved them too!!
Always ask for higher than you want
Never say what your wanting before he calls his "buddy who's a expert"
j karnes yeah he calls him & says come down here dude wants such and such price so value it under that
Sometimes the expert appraises it for higher then the asking price so ✉📩📨
Duh...
That won’t help when the expert shoots you down.
Finally someone with a real reason to sell passed down antique.
Rick goes to the back puts them in a frame and it's displayed 10 minutes later.
lol
Rick has that frame ready for the last five years. 😂💵
Still cost money tho...
Big up from England. Says thank you to absolutely everything 😂
Exactly what I’m like ... gotta learn to stop
Thank you. God save the queen. Thank you.
Laurel and Hardy will always be the greatest comedy duo

@@EazzyBeezie That's the correct answer
Customer: tHello I've been collecting items on this topic for years and know everything about it
*Rick starts explaining what it is*
I reckon it's more for the TV audience than the seller...
@@MrDrElectricon Absolutely. It's the History Channel so they need to tell the history of pieces on air.
It’s as if they’re setting it up for the camera isn’t it! 🙄
Man walks into shop .....Hello, i would like to sell the story of my life
Rick ....Sure , you were born in New york , in 1952 , your father drove a cab , you have one brother and an elder sister , your first job was in a law office .......

The greatest comedy duo of all time only worth $1300 is a crime in itself. I would like to know what other autographs that guy had from that period.
I agree. Those artists pretty much defined humor. Permanently. As they say in Spanish, "there's a before and an after, with these people." To this day, you can still feel their influence. And that's likely to remain forever. I mean, I'm 41 and not that much of a "vintage fan," but I can recognise timeless quality when I see it.
Sometimes I feel the same about prices in this show. But you know, life's not fair. Popularity and rarity tend to define this, and you know there are many artists that are more popular out there. And of course, popularity has no intrinsinc relation with quality and significance. And I'm guessing that, if they loved their fans so much, they probably signed a ton of autographs. Thus greatly reducing rarity.
I like how Steve acts like he knows stuff.
The fact that he uses an ipad to verify all of the signatures should have been a red flag lol
I know right at least show you care and print out the examples and make a nice reference book. Put passion in the things you do because clearly this guy is just out for ego and to make a buck.
I don't know how you could possibly have a BOOK with every signature in it. Watching enough of these, people's signatures change over time. Some people have secretaries that sign. With say a president who has multiple secretaries and a signature that changes over time (from say being Mayor to Governor to President), that could be 5 pages. Knowing who's signature you are coming to authenticate, and then loading those signatures onto a ipad or computer makes sense.
Using modern technology? That’s your problem with him lol?
Rick starts whining if doesn't get what he wants to pay for an item
Exactly! It's funny how he says stuff like "I'm taking all the risk," "It might be sitting on the wall for a while," "I have to frame it, and pay my employees." Hahahaha.
Rick's right on this one. Customers for this are going to be few and far between. Laurel and Hardy have passed out of the public consciousness. Even when I was a kid, they were almost forgotten.
those who forgat about Lauerl and Hardy should fucking die
You do realise all the deals are done before then re acted for the camera
I still know and love them. They are my favorites! :)
I want to hear a seller say "Okay Rick, I don't need to hear the history of the world. Just make an offer."
I know they’re real. I hope they’re real.
Anthony Celikian couldn't think what's else to say! They shoot it over about 3hrs but it's unscripted from the sellers point
i was gonna say, someone else besides me must of noticed that one xD
,“look i got to frame them and put them on the wall”
lol he says that like he's not already got a frame and wall hook in the back. Like some how you have to buy new frames because they explode after use or something
his catchphrase
"If you want a fortune I'm just gonna send you out the door." I woulda walked on principle there.
Why if he wanted half a million for them why would he even consider it? Some people think they have something worth more than what they are
I have 1 dollar that i want to sell?
Rick : I need to iron it to be presentable let me get it for a quarter
Lol . Yup sounds like Rick
Sounds annoying and this meme needs to stop
I am well known cheapskate expert in Vegas, ironing cost electricity and also time which is another word for money, based on that i would say its worth a quarter.
Elwhien Cacdac all I can do it .22 cents and I’m taking all the risk
Rick almost called his “expert” before asking the seller how much he wanted for the item.
Old Ricky *NEEDS* to know the how much the sellers wants so he can tell his “experts” before they lowball the seller
Not true. Plenty of times the expert has appraised things at more than the sellers was asking.
In this video he said "let me call my fraud, make sure he will lowball you"
@@bobbond99 not that appraiser
You and I know Rick ain't sellin that, it's going to his collection.
@Watch #The_Lady_of_Heaven he bought chumlee's strapon for 200k
No one can ever out rick in knowledge.
Example
Customer: elvis was my dad
Rick: elvis was a singer who started in the army a blahh......

Loved Laurel and Hardy!!
How old are you?
25, why?
Sync what's someone's age got to do with appreciating the genius of Laurel and Hardy?
@@MetalAddict6810 Laurel and Hardy among others like Chaplin were the kings of comedy, the antics and stunts they pulled were hilarious, timeless classics, same as you, I do not understand what age has to do with appreciating something

Almost had enough of Mr. Brown
Very underrated comment
This is insult to comment community
It wasn't the accents that made the act, it was the sight gags and the scripts themselves, many of them written by Stan.
All I need is a scope and pics of autographs on this iPad and I can be a specialist too
hatednyc I was thinking the same thing, like after one episode and seeing how it's done what does it take it to be in that business.
And years of studying thousands of autographs, but details details.
I wonder if it is too late for me to open a Picture Framing Shop next door to Pawn Stars because any time Rick has to have something framed he wants to knock off hundreds.
You could almost charge people for coming in, it's like a freaking museum in there. Love the show always learn lots! Ty!
My uncle used to show me the old short films of them. I miss him so much
“I know there real; hopefully there real” 😂😂 make up your mind
I just love that picture. Honestly just looking at that would sell the piece right off the bat
Pawn Star should do a program about people coming into their store and buying these rare items.
Wow, Rick really wanted those. He went up higher than I thought he would have.
Funny how Steve always lands on the number they are wanting. How coincidental
dude even if steve is right, when I see him on the show I get irritated
I get irritated when I see comments like yours.
His man boobs are irritating
Rick described the team pretty well. Kudos to the writers.
Is that Kevin from the office 😂
Absolute legends!! I'm sure these were sold right away.
“I know they are real...let’s hope they are real”
Rick always rocks forwards and backwards when he's "taking a risk"
They be so happy when they hear appraiser like thy going to get retail for it lmao
One of the few people who come on the show to spend the money right
My grandmother hung out with these guys! Mainly in Atlantic City! Hahaha
If you ever get a chance watch the comedy of these 2 guys, it’s hilarious!!!!!!
Rick REALLY wants this!!!!!
"Mr Brown, Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy all got along famously."
Fraser Brown Are you Mr. Brown
I'd like to sell a slice of my Apple pie for lunch. Rick : let me call in an expert. Expert : it's a nice piece.
I hear that Steve gets his devices before coming into the Pawn Shop, from a tablet vender on the corner of the MGM Grand... 😂🤣😆
Lol @ that temper tantrum over 25 bucks.
This is the 7th video in a row I’ve seen this guy Steve come in and check autographs and I didn’t even mean to find all these videos lol
So awesome
Anyone else like the times Rick turns to the camera after deal and gives a quip?
Loved that show!
The autograph of the guy that got along famously with Mr Brown must be worth a billion
lol " not just in england but from this side of the pond"..... priceless

I gotta put them in a frame! Lmao
All of the sudden Steve is an expert not only on signatures but on there whole life haha

I LOVE THEM !I GREAT FIND THE STORE!
I got to frame this up 😂😂😂😂😂
Laurel and Hardy...Abbott & Costello...
they're all classic Gold IMO.
Rick is very cute when he was smile😁
The 2 funniest men who ever lived
Rick and the expert are not that funny.
He always has an excuse just to low ball lol
The expert said 1300. The guy got 975. That's a pretty good deal. Obviously he can't pay retail because it's a business and he wouldn't make money. I think the man got a good price
I love this guy. He pulled a Rick on Rick!
"Pro Scope" - more like a regular iPad camera 😑😂😂
Rick seems really testy lately. He used to be kinda cool negotiating, but lately he’s like “take it or leave it” on the second offer lol
Has authentic laurel and hardy signatures.
But takes them to a pawn shop. Ok then
rick sanchez where else would you think of ?
Ilkvomit anywhere but a pawn shop. The place is infamous for giving you a shit price on anything good
get memed so when you love a TVs show, are on holiday in Vegas and have an autograph book full of famous autographs why not? Also checked and only getting £600 in UK

"Experts coming. I know they are real. Hopefully they are real."
That's a strange thing to say it you know your own merch
sanad dennis or if it's unscripted and you have a camera pointed at you , also they had many other autographs to choose from not just L& H, it's a tv show and gets edited, from 2 hours to 5 mins, not the best quote from me I wished they had used one of the others, I cringed when I saw it !
dabomb9172 thanks for the kind comments
It's a situation where in their heart the believe something is real because a family member said so, but if they didn't actually see it signed they can't know for sure.
Hahaha. I just commented on the Same..lol
I think they are worth a lot more given how rare you find them
Remember them in Aanco wiper blade ads.
"Frame it" like the framing is costing that many
If this was mine , i wouldn't want to part with anything relating to laurel and hardy. A signed photo of the greatest comedy duo in history and this guy wants to sell it. Sad! I doubt Rick will want to sell this. Another item for his personal collection.
his father collected them. and he is putting the money towards a headstone for his grave..
@@thecrow7 Right a headstone sure. Most likely a Strip club or prostitutes.
My granddaughter dated Laurel for about 1 month
He authenticates signatures with an IPad and had legal troubles for authenticating fake signatures and saying real ones were fake. What a fraud.
I am waiting for the day when the guy is gonna say. "I know you have to get it framed, but when you sell it, are you going to take the picture out of the frame? I bet you won't right? So whatever you spend in the frame you will add to the price, so cut the bs and give me my freaking 1000 dollars!" ow God make it happen.
LOOK OUT WE GOT THE PRO SCOPE
That guy negotiated well
Laurel, Hardy and Mr Brown got along famously
If these are still for sale, I would buy it today
The real name for Laurel was Authur stanley Jefferson and was changed by his Stage partner/wife Mae Dahlberg . They married in 1919 and apepared in Canada's Lowes Wintergarden in Toronto back in 1920 when the Billing was " Stan and Mae " for a comedy act but she was tough to work with and they divorced in 1925 .
Having the new name Stan Laurel he teamed up with Oliver Hardy for a series of Movies with Hal Roach for a string of successful Silent Movies shown around the World where most of the movie was body language and slapstick gags.
best i can do is 2 dollars, and im taking a big risk
Vankell and he needs to frame it he prob has loads of frames anyway
Wow *slow clap* that's an original joke
Vankell lmaoooooo
"hahaahaha"
The best YOU could do is 2 dollars, I'm sure of that.
In Finland they were known as Ohukainen(Slim one) and paksukainen (chubby one)
Rick probably grew up when they were really popular and on TV he's a huge fan of Laurel and Hardy looks like he definitely wanted them for himself
that picture is so desirable and expressive in itself.
They also have to wait 3 months before they can display it. That's for all pawn shops.
Wow Rick saved $25 after so much hassel
25$ is 25$
Never seen an episode of this program where the guy valuing says more then what the seller wants.
Worth way more than that
Mr. Brown and I got along famously.
