- Ok so maybe some nonsense.
Just got a trail hawk and its was ugly so a few steps to make it look a lot better. Will be doing some more mods when i have the time and will be making a leather sheath.
I had the Birchwood Casey gun kit in the house but all you really need is some stripper, stain, gun blue and true oil.
Hope you enjoyed this clip and got some inspiration, all questions welcome just leave a comment.
Cheers now,
Argo
...quick hack...use discarded polystyrene packing blocks for a sanding block..they conform to all shapes better than a wooden block...works fine for me...
I like this straight to the point, no bollox, just this is what i'm going to do and you do it you don't take 5 minutes to explain everything.
Thank you, lucky I don't like talking on camera a great lot ha ha!
All the best Argo.
Nice job. Ready and waiting (in a conspicuous place) to be admired or to deal with unwanted guests. Love your tats, too.
Awesome,100 times better.Thanks for sharing.Thumbs up.

Great video. This was a lot more helpful than some of the other modification videos I have seen. I have some good plans for my Cold Steel War Hammer now.

Excellent work!
Nicely done!
haha! hey there brother, you know Hereford i guess? i competed there last year :) and used to live there!
Glad you like the channel,
Argo.
Killed it, mate! Gonna try the same.
Thanks for the inspiration, I want to do similar to my warhammer but use the alumnium black stuff for the hammer head and rub wd40 to prevent rust. The handle Ill do what you did but I'm using a dark teak stain and beeswax to finish. Love the hawk tho, I just can't decide what one to get eventually. I have my warhammer to get on with anyway. Thanks.
Sweet!
That looks awesome, good job dude!
K
Looks good!
Lovely work mate. I love my 'hawk and I must get some pimping done to her. I leave the screw out of my hawk head as it makes it easier to break down and keep in my tool kit in the van. Love your cat, by the way, he looks about the same size as my dogs lol ;)
Nice hawk and vid!
Nice vid mate. Going to try it as well. Your vid helps a lot.
hope it goes well
Righto sounds like a plan
Thanks bud glad you liked it be doing some more mods to it soon

Great video man, really useful. I hope to do the same with a frontier hawk. Iechyd da!
I just bought a cs-pipe hawk. :)
ace good luck hope it goes well
Thanks John means a lot mate :)
looks good! i just recently got one of these myself and am looking to do pretty much these same mods. have you found that after stripping the black paint from the hawk that it's any more prone to rusting? that's pretty much my only concern.
@TopoftheLineTraining thanks, yeah it's nice and fast and you get a great finish, Argo
Its easy to make a mess with that stuff but the hawk made it look easy!
Cheers now,
Argo
Glorious
good old Luke! :) yeah give it ago but they look pretty nice anyhow

Atb Argo
What was that yellow liquid that you put to the hawk head after the paint remover? Thanks
If you don't look after it you might get some surface rust I haven't had a problem. Thanks :) atb argo
@MCQBushcraft Thanks mate going to take it out for few throws tomorrow. Might even film my first attempts to give you all a laugh :) Argo
@6Ssurvival thanks mate, Argo

@TheBazFella get it pimped brother. :) just made a sheath for mine! Yeah I left mine out as well! Bronson is a fat cat haha! Atb Argo.
@leaflifebushcraft good old mike :) I subbed you a while back brother. atb Argo
Very nice butt :)
ive just done something similar to a norse hawk but its going to be pimped viking style!
fancy a throw on sunday?
putting the stripper on that wooden handle... dunno man, heh. ..
They come with wax shit all over them you could waste time with some sand paper 3 years on and it's going strong.
i did back it up a little before i blued it going to hit it again to give it a nice polish and maybe fill that hole as i have some jb weld hanging around from making stoves.
glad you liked it bud
Argo
hahaah "TAIWAN" should have kept the paint on
