Just amazes me that this huge, powerful voice came out of such a small framed person. Whitney's voice still remains the standard by which EVERY singer tries to reach. Her vocal inflections, interpretation, diction, power, control, vibrato, timbre & the cherry on top was her tone...Rich, velvety, smooth, honey-like tone that blanketed her voice from top to bottom.✅
There are great singers of our time. And everybody has their preferences of voices. But I must say, that Whitney was just SPECIAL. Her tone all by itself, was a gift. It's undeniable. If you couldn't see her and you just heard her singing, it would stop you right in your tracks. Then it's her genius of delivery, which to me is...UNMATCHED. The resonance, the lyrical phrasing, the timing, her ability to give a song EXACTLY what it needed, and never too much or not enough. Whitney just had THE MOST beautifully constructed instrument of all. And she mastered HOW to use it! 💝
Always amazed by her transformation of her own songs. Picture it as a musician with music in front of you. She has that in her head but moves the notes around in real time. That my friends is not easy or even possible for most.
Honestly whitney houston made history with this specific performance of The Greatest Love Of All. The most amazing voice to ever grace the face of the earth. The ultimate gift
Wow, marvellous version!! She played with the song in this version more than any other live instance I've seen!! Her voice is the definition of perfection, who can not love her...
I love the head voice inflections she did on this performance. The way she sang the second “at least I live as I believe” is my favorite way of all she did on that part. Also, the first “LEARNING to love” is SO powerful!! Outstanding performance.
Always love your reactions, you’re so appreciative of this kind of unique excellence as Whitney had. There will never be another like her. Same as with MJ, they are forever the Queen and King and we will always miss them deeply. Their legacies will only grow stronger. Thank you 🙏.
I’m from Newark and this song went over huge here when George Benson released the original. This is a Newark song. She knew this and made this song with her hometown in mind and she captured how we sang it here. Whitney was super blessed by the LORD with that voice and I can’t hardly wait to hear her voice in glory with Christ Jesus our LORD!!! ❤❤❤
her version eclipsed the George Benson original And her live versions are not even to be discussed. World Class! and she forced it from a local American sung to a worldwide anthem sang from Asia to Australia!

I see where some of my faves gets the directing the band from. Whitney is a gem. There will never be another. She's still one of my favorite singers of all time.
If this song had a gospel rendition this would be it! Absolutely mesmerizing and genius! HUGE shot out to the (Winans I think) band. That band is 🔥! Whitney of course is spellbinding. God truly blessed Whitney and I can’t wait to hear what she’ll sound like in glory with the LORD!!! The best live rendition recorded… in my opinion!!❤️❤️❤️ Great reaction!!!

Not true. For a very sponteanous flexible singer, she has to direct them. This is not her own band, anyone that wants to play behind Whitney must be swift fast and flexible and understand the complexities of her delivery. Even her own band say she directs them too. This is normal actually. She is more subtle with it with her own band because they know her far more..

The full version where Dionne goes "I just can't...." at the end makes me laugh. It just takes your marbles everytime you see this woman in her prime
And that is why she is the voice all my Lord that voice is so beautiful she is my favorite singer and person in the world
