The all-new, 10-episode second installment of THE X-FILES is executive-produced by creator Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson returning in their roles as iconic FBI Agents FOX MULDER and DANA SCULLY. Mitch Pileggi also returns as FBI Asst. Director WALTER SKINNER. Additionally, the all-new episodes will feature guest-star appearances by Annabeth Gish, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Karin Konoval, Barbara Hershey, Haley Joel Osment and William B. Davis, who reprises his role as “Cigarette Smoking Man.” Along with Carter, series veteran Glen Morgan serves as an executive producer.
In 2016, THE X-FILES drew an average Multi-Platform audience of nearly 16 million viewers and was last season’s No. 2 broadcast drama. It also was the season’s most talked-about event series on Twitter.
THE X-FILES originally premiered in September 1993. Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Scully and Mulder, as they investigate unexplained cases - “X-Files” - for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.

+Blanca Rosario Isn't it nice? she was doing a weird, raspy, about to fall asleep style voice in the first two episodes. It sounded like she was 80 years old and desperately needed a nap. It was incredibly distracting. So good to hear her sounding like herself again.
+Blanca Rosario Gillian Anderson does a flawless job of imbuing Scully with a sense of grief over William, her voice brittle and her expressions slow and weary.

+brav0wing You beat me to the punch on her Bedellia voice mode! I've been a huge fan of both original X-Files & Hannibal. When Bedelia was first introduced, I thought "boy, I don't remember Scully sounding like that!" Just like the comment above, she sounded like she was putting herself & everyone around her to sleep and/or she just shot up some good black tar Heroin when she spoke. I thought it might have been character driven...until this reboot of X-files. Welcome back Dana Scully!

10 times watching and I still can't stop laughing. This is EVEN ONLY A FOOTAGE not whole episode!! :DDDDD If James Wong's "Founder Mutation" stabs me in my heart with his Mulder's "You're never just anything to me, Scully" then Darin Morgan nails it with his Mulder/Scully's banter. So CC, you better stay at producer office and leave the writing and directing with these two. Oh, and also bring back Vince Gilligan too.

Im mixed, it was ok but why did we get so funny so soon? The first two were awesome, then this. I like the serious xfiles, with a dash of the funny stand alone episodes. By far the worse was the cops/brady bunch episodes please dont repeat.

What happened to x files? The show became a weird comedy. I liked it before when it wasn't.
It always had some humorous episodes thrown in just so it didn't get too heavy for the audience. Remember the Halloween episode where they're trapped in the haunted house with the bickering married ghosts?
