Thank you for sharing. You did a fantastic job. They look so beautiful and I bet they taste as good as they look. Much need inspiration and knowledge. Blessings to you...
Thank You very much for Your kind feedback! Well, radicchio has it's specific bitter taste, not everyone likes it 🙂 But as an addition to salads, it's great! Blessings to You ☺
Wow 😮 Excellent video!! Very well done, nice textual explanations, nice music 🎶 ( almost put me to sleep 💤) LoL 😂 Tytyty so much for your time and effort to teach and inspire us!! 👍🏻
I just harvested mines 😍😍!!! It took forever 😂😂. Started the Seeds 04/12th in A Pot, they sprouted ; then transferred to the ground 06/10th . Just today 09/13/2024; harvested one to make A home made Spring Salad for dinner . I live in Wisconsin 💯 . I planted 5 of them in our Garden !!! Love them mixed with baby Lettuce 🥬
Two months from seed to planting is quite a long time. Could cold weather be the reason for their slower growth? Three months after planting is pretty much how long these plants take to fully form heads, so thumbs up 👍 great job! They are absoloutely amazing in salad 🥗🥬 Happy gardening 🙂🍀
@@Liap now watching your radish video. Don't know how i missed it before. But splendid as usual. I will try some of that soon. Keep those vids coming. Lovin them!
Love your videos! I'm growing quite a few things in containers thanks to your inspiration! I have to say the "farm music" cracks me up 😅 Happy growing!
@Life in a pot I'm currently growing.. Sweetie tomatoes, Boston pickling cucumbers, Sugar snap peas, Clemson spineless okra, Brussel sprouts, Big Jim Numex peppers, Sweet California wonder peppers, Rainbow popping corn, Sweet Spanish white onions, Wild Onions, Oakleaf lettuce, Gourmet mix lettuce, Cat grass, Catnip, Peppermint, Lemon mint, Lavender, Cilantro, Lemon balm, Sage, Basil bouquet, & Basil large leaf! All the herbs are in stacking pots and won't get too big. The other stuff is in 1.75gal fabric pots! Absolutely loving the experience. I've grown 1 specific thing for 4 years and starting to branch out more. They're growing in a 4×4×6 .5ft grow tent under a Mars Hydro FC8000 😅
@@tylerc-137-rq7jv wow, that's a lot of plants You're growing, sounds fantastic! Herbs are very enjoyable to grow, as they can be grown in basically any pot size and shape. The growlight looks strong, what is the distance between it and plants? Thank You very much for sharing, I wish you happy plants growing! 🍀🙂
I wouldn't do that. Same as head lettuce, if You harvest outside leaves, the firm head won't form. You can pick leaf or two here and there, but still plants need those leaves for energy from sun. You can treat these plants as cut and come again though. But They won't form nice and firm heads.
Beautiful, inspirational, looks very tasty, I'm sure it is....thank you for pain sticking processes to create this inspirational video...wish you lots of wiewers. Thank you....
I have bought some Castelfranco variety seeds of this interesting plant. Will be sowing this week here in South Wales UK. I'm assuming I can copy your methods from this video for this variety? Does the plant (after harvesting) go into dormancy and regrow? Thanks for excellent informative video and keep up the great work
Hello, I've never grown that variety. I checked it online and none of local sellers even have this variety. Though, it seems to be very similar in growing requirements as palla rossa, so yes, you can. Very nice looking plant indeed! I will try to get the seeds for next year somewhere 🤭 No, the plant won't grow another head after harvesting. It may grow some leaves from stem, if you leave enough of it in the soil, but those leaves will never form a head like the first one. Thank You very much! A little tip for growing radicchio that i had to learn - if you are going to use fertilizer of any kind, stop using it once the plants start to form heads. It increases the risk of head rot. Good luck growing Your beautiful radicchio variety, all the best! 🍀🙂
Hello, what's the size of it? These can be grown in smaller containers (15l / 4gal) but bigger containers will hold stable temperature longer. And I was growing these in the middle of autumn and temperatures here can drop to freezing at the time.
Fabulous video! It showed me exactly what I was wanting to know, thanks!

Great sharing my friend👌

Do you discard the outer leaves? Are they not good to eat? (I've never grown radicchio before).
I sort them. Most of them are perfectly edible. But it's the core of the head that is most wanted.
@@Liap Thanks for the reply!

I wonder if you could harvest the side leaves and eat while waiting for the head to form? Im gonna try my luck at growing this!

Hola, puede ser que se parezca al repollo o lechuga ? ¿Y su sabor como es amargo ? Tengo esa curiosidad

given the seed raising mix has no nutrients, do you water the plants with nitrogen?
Hello, yes, with half-strength fish emulsion.

I’m growing this but i think my pot is too small

I cant believe you put one in each bag, the cost of compost in uk is so high i can buy 8 radicchio for your one in a bag.
So this only grows in winter season not when summers are arriving like in February.? I’m from south asia
Hello, yes radicchio grows best in cool weather.
Please this variety can be grown in hot countries
Hello. You can try to grow it in morning sun and afternoon shade. But if the temperatures are too hot, it will probably bolt and go to flower.
@@Liap OK Thanks
I only have large green leaves. 😞
Hello, how long is it since sowing? Are You using any fertilizer?
Masakra tyle mieśięcy pracy na taką sałatkę ńiesamowite
