Just got the RA89, based on specs/reviews/experience with the QRZ-1 (RA-85 basis). The only downcheck is not having an alphanumeric keypad to attach names to saved frequencies. Other than that, a great value! Thanks for the tips! 73 Ed KK7SAB

Sadly, Chirp does not seem to wideband it, the field is locked. The 2nd F plus 9 worked though.

Hi. Firsty trying on 27.025 AM is hard as many on there. Try 27.385 LSB or a few channels up and down from that freq. You can make it on 20 watts if conditions are good on LSB. Of course 100 w will help.
