My husband is from Nicaragua and he loves chicharrón! I think this recipe will remind him of the chicharrón they used to get at the city park stands! Thanks so much for posting this!
Woww thank you going to try this asap they're like 24 dollars at the Vallarta supermarket !!! For a little bit and my husband says these are the real ones wow 👌 👏 😍
You could cook your rice in the broth, we call it greasy rice, or you could make a cornbread dressing with it. Pork dressing is awesome! Those look amazing!
Once you cook them and let them cool, put them back in the hot grease and the skin will "pop" and little crispy bubbles will popup on the skin. This will take them over the edge and make they ultra crispy!
I was just thinking of making chicharron mix with GORDITAS well store bought chicharron NEVER THOUGHT of making them my self !!!!!! and fry them ! Yummmmy or chicharron with salsa with sunny side up eggs ! Yummmmm!
Chicharrones !!! 👍🏼😋 !!! I will suggest to cut them a bit thicker, just because belly will shrink, and become to crumble thicker pieces won't 😉 👍🏼 thank you !!! ( bay leaves, salt, pepper, garlic, orégano to the water)
I love how versatile your recipes are. Those are my ultimate favorite 😍 Now I could make it in the comfort of my home knowing exactly how I cook it and what I put in it! Bravo 👏 yes indeed she cooks💔
I love chicharrones. Thank you so much for showing us how to make them have a great day and will see you in the next video. 👍😋👍❤️❤️❤️🥰🌹✌️👊😁. I don’t have an Insta pot so how long do I boil them on the stove ?
Get the P. Belly in boiling water, for about half hr. Then get all them out , get rid of that water, get more water and boil down the P. Belly again for another hr. Then fry them out . Don't forget to put salt on the 2nd water.
Thank you for this video, I love the taste of chicharron😍… I use to make the haitian way we usually do they same but we boil it with parley, and a little lime juice, or sour orange juice with water and salt 🧂 that’s all and I think both of them taste wonderful 🤩
Can you please share what you use the pork broth for? I never know what to make with pork broth and I hate throwing all that flavorful broth down the drain. Thank you. I'm making chicharrones today! 😋
They look so good and delicious. I haven’t been able to find whole slabs of pork belly in my area; it’s hard to find small pieces, too. If I manage to hunt down that unicorn, I want to try your recipe. Thanks so much for sharing!

OMG!!! This takes me back to my grandma’s kitchen. She made chicharonnes after they slaughtered a pig. She won’t make homemade flour tortillas and wrap it around the chicharrone. Nothing like it 🥰

True, but I don’t think her pork belly was “skin on”.... a lot of it has no skin like what they sell at Costco...
I was just thinking of making chicharron mix with GORDITAS well store bought chicharron NEVER THOUGHT of making them my self !!!!!! and fry them ! Yummmmy or chicharron with salsa with sunny side up eggs ! Yummmmm!

Do you think cooking it on an air fryer will work ok??
Or should I use lard ?
Question? I’m a newbie cook. When I fry what do I do with oil after? Hopefully someone can answer, as I would appreciate any help.
Save and reuse 😊

That knife though! where can I get that????
So for how long did you cook the pork for, you didn’t say. You showed 20 then 27 then it went to 45?
Trying it today
Can this be done with beef belly.
Where can you buy pork belly
If you have an asian supermarket near you they always have it..
Try fish market
Publix had some and they were nice packs and sizes too❤❤
Asian markets. They eat the stuff up, but the make it differently.
Argos
Got excited and thought they were onion rings! 😅 chicharrón just as good 😊
Making some with gauc ASAP!!!
OMG!!! This takes me back to my grandma’s kitchen. She made chicharonnes after they slaughtered a pig. She won’t make homemade flour tortillas and wrap it around the chicharrone. Nothing like it 🥰
Anyone know where to buy a pork belly slab with the skin and fat on it? I can’t find it in my area.
Butcher shop maybe special order
Asian markets have “skin on” if you have any nearby, otherwise order one...
So crunchy
