    You could cook your rice in the broth, we call it greasy rice, or you could make a cornbread dressing with it. Pork dressing is awesome! Those look amazing!

    Once you cook them and let them cool, put them back in the hot grease and the skin will "pop" and little crispy bubbles will popup on the skin. This will take them over the edge and make they ultra crispy!

      True, but I don’t think her pork belly was “skin on”.... a lot of it has no skin like what they sell at Costco...

    I was just thinking of making chicharron mix with GORDITAS well store bought chicharron NEVER THOUGHT of making them my self !!!!!! and fry them ! Yummmmy or chicharron with salsa with sunny side up eggs ! Yummmmm!

    I will suggest to cut them a bit thicker, just because belly will shrink, and become to crumble thicker pieces won't 😉 👍🏼 thank you !!! ( bay leaves,salt, pepper, garlic, orégano to the water)

    My most favorite food, Beef and bean burrito, smothered in Green chilie with chicharrones❤️
    We boiled the pork, then let it fry in its own grease.

      Get the P. Belly in boiling water, for about half hr. Then get all them out , get rid of that water, get more water and boil down the P. Belly again for another hr. Then fry them out . Don't forget to put salt on the 2nd water.

    Thank you for this video, I love the taste of chicharron😍… I use to make the haitian way we usually do they same but we boil it with parley, and a little lime juice, or sour orange juice with water and salt 🧂 that’s all and I think both of them taste wonderful 🤩

      Use the pork broth for beans or the base for a soup.

    I love chicharrones 😮😢with boil yucca, tostones or green plantain mash 😮, my grandmother used to make this chimichurri with wild cilantro and garlic hhhhm now I’m hungry 🤤, I gotta make a trip to the hood for some 😮

      You can, but the taste will be totally different Lard is the way to go

    OMG!!! This takes me back to my grandma’s kitchen. She made chicharonnes after they slaughtered a pig. She won’t make homemade flour tortillas and wrap it around the chicharrone. Nothing like it 🥰
