I am in Australia and was contacted only yesterday by the store I bought from. I was told the delay is only a week and that I may receive my order by the 11th.
Hurricane Helene also slowed down distribution here in the south east of the US so we probably wont be seeing the boxes land until after the weekend at the earliest...Worst timing for a hurricane ever...
@@sorcererscircle535 They did indicate that they are taking this under consideration, and I hope they do start using more formal channels for this information.
yep not ideal in Australia, seemed on track for so long, but at the end of the day one week delay is not the end of the world. hopefully it's not more than that though.
Does he, or at least, does he have it all? I believe he indicated it will take weeks to ship it out, so maybe he has half and then the other half will come mid-October to finish up.
@@Lord_of_ItzaYeah he has all of it, he needs to. You need a long time to get orders ready at his volume. The fact normal stores won't have the same time is a bummer
The playmats and promo kits should be arriving before Halloween. So thats some news! If its any consolation, several games are struggling with punctuality.
@@CrosswaIk Lorcana, MTG, Pokemon. The most recent occurance was the promo kit for the last Lorcana store championship. Showed up 2 weeks late. It was annoying for us as a store but it wasn't a big deal to the players.
Late arrival isn't as important in my opinion as having enough product to go to retailers who want it. They also needed a new starter set or some point of entry for new players. Satisfying a small but loyal base of enfranchised players and collectors isn't going to do anything to grow the game. Having the majority of the product in the hands of online vendors, TC and influencers only helps with players already in the know and does absolutely nothing to grow the game. They needed to appeal to a broader base, and put product into the hands of stores planning to demo, promote and host the game. They needed more of an audience than what the focus has been to this point. I hope EC rights the ship and treats this more like a mainstream product and game than they have to this point.
IF there really is any delay, 'it's a small company' but they boast constantly about the success and demand so small company doesn't cut it. You have a year to get ready and this is your one set a year, you need to nail it or you're losing much more than your gaining. Maybe the delay will be super small but any card shop with an event for this release needs a real generous heads up
Sorcerers! Matt from Aus hereee! I’m bummed out about the delay here in Perth, Aus because I feel like I’ll be missing out on the global release and experience with everyone at the same time. But, I also love the anticipation and want to keep that excitement alive while waiting for our boxes here. Overall I’m still super happy with the team at EC and the work that they’re doing! Shoutout to them!
Alpha Investments had no problem getting a pallet or two.

where is the source of this info, I cannot find it
The general channel of the official Sorcery Discord, though it is buried under Merlin arguments now.
@@Lord_of_Itza Surely they should do an open announcement though

Erik can't control the weather?!? I guess I better sell all my alpha foils 😂
This was something I feared but it sounded like it’s only a week at most. Hopefully…
Delayed!!!! Yikes. My heart… (crack).
So the release date is 18th October 2024.

I like this attitude.
the motto of many TCGs that tanked
