  • A Crossover Break is the quintessential and single most recognizable movement of Cha Cha. Many varieties of Crossover Breaks exist in the Cha Cha syllabus; This is the most fundamental version. The position one associates with Crossover Breaks is man and lady standing side-by-side, with a single-hand hold. In this video, F.J. and Catherine Abaya teach you the proper technique to dance the Crossover Break in American style Cha Cha.

What is the difference in connection in the crossover break when placing the man's hand under rather than over top of the lady's hand. Could you please explain why the hand under the ladies rather than over top of the lady saying is better. I use the technique you are showing in your video however I think an explanation as to why this is done would be helpful. Thank you in advance I enjoy your videos they're very informative and to the point. They are extremely well executed. With explanations as to why it is done that way.
