What is the difference in connection in the crossover break when placing the man's hand under rather than over top of the lady's hand. Could you please explain why the hand under the ladies rather than over top of the lady saying is better. I use the technique you are showing in your video however I think an explanation as to why this is done would be helpful. Thank you in advance I enjoy your videos they're very informative and to the point. They are extremely well executed. With explanations as to why it is done that way.
This was perfect my instructor is teaching me this my 2nd private class was last night. Next class is in two weeks. I'll have this video to study. Thank you. You two are beautiful.

Amazing! Thank you!
In the ladies demonstration of the feather it should be noted that pausing done to point to the footwork (the release of the toes) causes a snapshot that doesn't exist. In real time the lady is never over her standing leg with her toe released leg still protruding. By the time the lady is over her standing leg she will have collected the other leg underneath her body. Sometimes when female students study the footwork like this they begin to drag their heel of the toe released foot much to long, leaving the leg in the gentleman's way. It's a natural misinterpretation of how the legs work under the body due to a teacher slowing down and pausing to explain and often stress the point that the lady releases all toes as there is no foot-rise for the lady moving backwards in ballroom.
I,m sorry,, I,m 86 years old & still dancing since 1946 these teachers are good & another on youtube but both teach the feather step wrong, in ballroom dancing the Gentleman always leads with his left foot, so it should be gentleman left-right step outside the lady into feather step Lady back & back left, the teachers are missing two steps. check other videos
Thank you (from France).
1:13 If he begin with the right foot, the image is *reverse*
He wasn't very clear. He means standing on the right foot, stepping with the left.
講解清楚動作標準!非常適合進入標準舞的學習著!
anyone else here for online school lmaoooo
👍☺
They are not quite right I believe. Both feet have to point in the same direction on step 2, man d.w. in order to track correctly on the following steps. it is possible to balance with the mans right foot on the same alignment as his left foot d.w..If the knee is following the feet. This ladies right foot on step 1 is turned out? This is not so good either. Otherwise correct.
Thank you.
I realize it is kind of off topic but does anyone know a good place to stream new movies online ?

Wow!! incredible steps!!
Incredible instructions, that's real professional instructors. Thanks Max and Lesya.
good
excellent video. I wish the lady was not wearing trousers because I can't see her feet properly.
Egilis Smargris has an excellent ballroom dance channel. You can always see the ladies ankles!
what is the reason for the cross in the reverse turn
strange, isn't it because you can just as well use an open box step..........
Slightly simlified: It is harder to achieve the amount of turn needed while turning left as your partner is on your right side, so the crossing of the feet allows more turn than if you closed.
very clear explanation. Good instructors
