Where are you from? To interview so many people and not just have the usual flattery but to let THEM do the talking felt fine to me and not at all awkward.A group of working actors talking about their work. Very enjoyable.
Julia Davis, the star, creator and writer, hardly said two words. Imagine if this were a retrospective of The Office, or Alan Partridge - Ricky Gervais and Steve Coogan would hardly let the cast get a word in! That's the difference between the male and female ego, right there.
I think Steve Coogan is a poor example, and Ricky Gervais isn’t the person you see in front of the camera, just like many comedians. Weird to turn this video into a slight against two men who don’t feature in it. Even weirder to pick one of the producers of the show, who gave Julia the opportunity to make it 🤷♂️
Why do people have to turn everything into a competition? Julia Davis is not the character you see on TV. From what I've seen in interviews, she is generally a quiet, introspective, considered person in real life, especially compared to other comedic actors. This has nothing to do with the difference between men and women, it's just the way she is.
Leaving to one side the irreverent genius of her comedic invention.... (and at the risk if being trite and superficial) i think Julia Davis is so beautiful.

I loved Nighty Night so much, and this reunion is really lovely. But I have one question: At 28.20, when Julia says (of Rebecca Front) "I think she had a lovely time," why does the audience react like that? It's almost as if RF has maybe said something critical of the show? There's definitely something gong on; a few of the panellists are applauding as well. Can anyone explain what that moment is about?
‘Scuse me, do you do a cappuccino with that third series? (“Sorry, no.”) (“You off?”). I won’t be spoken to like that. She can keep ‘er bitterness to ‘erself.
