- Mostly sunny trip down the Alaskan Panhandle on this 737-400, with views of mountain ranges, glaciers and the sea. Watch for the last minute go-around due to a flock of birds in Juneau.
I used to race them on the milk run....me on a Be-1900, them on the 737-200.
I was flying under VFR rules from Ketchikan to Wrangell, Petersburg, Sitka and Juneau so always on a direct routing and always ahead of them. They were catching up on me and let me eat their dust between Juneau and Anchorage!
Good old days.
Top notch scenery and beautiful day in Juneau !! Thanks for sharing !!!
Thanks for posting. Awesome view. Old School 737 200. Congratz from Brazil.
Thanks! This is actually a 737-400, but still old school.
What a tour... awesome video - thanks!
Curt thanks for the nice words!
Great video. I like the snowy mountains.
the scenery is simply stunning! Great video
Thanks!
Juneau is always good for a go around, mostly due to the weather. Fantastic footage, thank you for sharing these! I subscribed.
Great video, thanks for sharing. It's interesting to see the different take offs and landings. The only stop I have connected in is Juneau (I switched planes).
Thank you for sharing, Awesome!
something happened along the way ( with-my-trip ) went to wrangell,ak & found myself liveing there for 3-wonderfull-years leaveing n.j.---- i loved that trip-of-mine---- alaska a place i will never-forget-------
Got to see some places I haven't seen in awhile. Use to live in Juneau for 21 years. Haven't been back to Juneau since September 2003 last time I was in Alaska was June 2006 anchorage eagle river area for a few weeks. Good to see Douglas island and Auke bay and Auke lake and North Douglas and back side of Douglas island and Ademerlty island and a air view of coming up Gaustino channel down town Juneau and just a quick view of Juneau Douglas high school Mount Roberts and mount Juneau. A quick look at Mount Edgecome and the cinder cone just north of Mount Edgecome. Looked like Sitka sound was usel covered with clouds. Good to them again
Beautiful video!
thanks!
Alaskan: The USA's best kept secret? Really great airline. Great service, nice professional, friendly crew.
I agree. And one small correction - they go by just “Alaska”
THAT PILOT STR8 GREASES
Fantastic Video!
Joey Sheremeta thanks!
aps_ak I would literally love to fly to Anchorage just so I could take the full milk route. I bet I wouldn’t be the first.
Reminds me of Queenstown NZ.
Very nice 👍👍
Did the pilot just do a downwind landing on the second attempt or is there a 2nd runway? I noticed the approach was different
Nice video. Have you seen the northern lights while you have flown from Alaska?
Thanks! I have not, unfortunately, but I've seen plenty from the ground though.
thanks
Hi Highlighted reply . Oops, I for to mention : the seats and the food. I am 5 foot 11/3/4 inches. Seats were great even in economy. The seats in 1ST/aka International Biz were great! Sure beats European Biz c;ass(row of 3 with
the middle seat blocked off Flew Sea- Lax . Very good. OK i am in Biz class. Nice drink and snack. Sea= Hawaii
:very, very good . Esp the meal.
Where was this coming from
Anchorage, although the very start of the flight was in Fairbanks.
That was so interesting! Being a flight sim nut, and having a daughter living in Juneau, I have simulated these landings quite a few times. The first aborted approach was from Runway 08 and then the final landing was from the opposite direction, Runway 26. Buttery landing too! Great job Captain! Must have been light winds that day to be able to land from either direction. Thanks for sharing.
presto25100 thanks! I’ve done that landing a couple of times as well - in X-Plane.
@@aps_ak7088 yup, Zibo model 737 x-plane
@@aps_ak7088 What's the route to setup?
I have been lied to😩 pictures do not do our great state justice now I need to plan trips to all these cities 😭❤️ much bigger then pictures convey
milk run??? I guess thats similar to united's island hopper in the pacific
I found out about that version of the milk run earlier this year - definitely something to experience, I’m sure.
So the world really is..................... round?
