I mean, in order for the country to prove that it does not apply Islam, it will rise and allow drinking alcohol that destroyed humanity?! So thank you to the Islamic religion, which forbade drinking alcohol, which caused family disintegration, violence and car accidents due to drinkers.
As I quickly run out of new countries to visit in Europe, I've naturally started to look further afield to places like Uzbekistan. Thanks for the video :)
As an Uzbek, I recommend visiting these popular places: 1. Boboy Restaurant: This is a very traditional restaurant where you can enjoy delicious Uzbek food. The restaurant’s decor reflects authentic Uzbek style, giving you a true sense of the culture as soon as you step in. (Located in Tashkent City Mall) 2. Chorsu Bazaar: This historical and popular marketplace is a must-visit. Here, you can sample traditional foods with authentic flavors. One specialty, “bazar hanum,” is especially delicious and loved by many tourists who visit Chorsu just to try it.
Good decision coming to Uzbekistan. I've been there just last month with nice autumn weather. The metro station architecture will amaze you as each one is uniquely designed. With one metro ticket you can explore all. You may also want to explore the ships graveyard at Moynaq - Karakalpakstan Republic.
If you wanna see all the pedestrians, go to Chilanzar metro in Tashkent 😅 Azan can be played out loud. As for practicing religion, people are becoming more religious day by day. By the way, go to Samarqand, Shahrisabz, Qarshi, Termez, Kokand, Rishtan, Margilan, Bukhara, Khiva. But If you are more into nature, I can recommend Charvoq, Amirsoy, Parkent, Zomin mountains, Tuzkan lake, Nefrit Lake in Navoi, Hisar mountains, Miraki village, etc
I have just come back from Uzbekistan and it's a wonderful country. Tashkent is a great mix of modern and soviet. The rest are much more older. It is very police heavy but remarkable as its only been about 8 years open for tourists
uzbeki here! u've mentioned "soviet occupation", but we dont say like that here. this was not an occupation but union and we respect our history yet we see us apart from modern Russia but we was never "occupied" by soviets. it was fair union and we gained a lot from it. yet i still appreciate the video and love ur content!
Here’s an idea. When you go to Khiva, hire a taxi to take you out to the desert castles on the Central Asian steppe. You’ll have nothing but the steppe around you for as far as the eye can see. Makes you feel extremely small.
Welcome to my home country! I hope you enjoy your visit and try as many traditional foods as possible. One thing about the country it’s absolutely safe and very friendly people.
Hi Jason always a pleasure to see your video coverages of your adventures and also the different food cusines. Such a beautiful clean place and peacful looking in some places. Enjoy and looking forward to your next video there.
Hi Jason: Tashkent looks nice. Would like to see more of it in the day time. If there is a high speed train in Uzbekistan, it would be nice to see that train journey.
Just in the recon planning stages of our trip along the Silk Road. Nice to see your face again Jason. I've been subscribed for a number of years but hadn't seen one of your vids in a while. Typed Tashkent in the search bar and an old familiar face popped up. I'll be sure to check out your vid on Samarkand as we are planning to coordinate our visit with the next Sharq Taronalari International Music Festival.
After the Samarkand you can also visit Shahrisabz. It also has a lot of historical architecture and it is close to Samarkand. Also I can advice to visit Karakalpakistan and Termez. There are some early Islamic or even pre-Islamic structures. Also in Karakalpakistan you can have a trip to the remainings of Aral Sea. After that on East of the country you can visit Kokand and Margilan, they are also historical cities. And Kokand was the capital of Kokand Khanate in the past.
Visit Termez (ancient Thermos), the most southern city in Uzbekistan with hidden ancient gems, remains of local ancient Alexandria on Oxus in Central Asia, centre for Hellenistic, Buddhist, Zoroastrian history and culture.
I would love to go on that India trip next year. What a great opportunity for someone like me who’s friends & family have no desire to explore the country, and I’m always discouraged to travel there solo. america isn’t a country that encourages a work & life balance. I’ve already committed myself next year, and there’s no way another trip would be approved 😢

Azan is played out loud in ever namaz time in every mosque which even its voice spreads up to 2-3 km. Don't lie us!!! Also, our people are gradually starting to practice Islam now even though Soviets did their best to make us forget this religion. If you don't know, do not say anything behalf of us!!!
Hey Jason.. Great video! I am a Travel Vlogger here on UA-cam too! Let me know what you think about my latest video about Moldova 🇲🇩 by the way, which camera do you use? 😃
You are trying to distort the reality so much that you showed only things that contradict the truth.First of all, as time passes real Muslims praying properly are increasing and Toshkent is the city in which there are hundreds of mosques literally in every step , so it is not that difficult to hear loud Azan . I , personally , lived Tashkent and used to get up for Morning prayer thanks for the loud and heart-touching sound of Azan and I didn't encounter a single mosque that misses even one of 5 prayer times . Secondly , by considering thousands of russian christians live there , you can not relate it to uzbek and muslim culture. Please be careful when you are making a blog , because you would misinform people. We do not need lies
Great video as usual. I don’t know where you are headed with the longer hair. It isn’t working well for those of us who are hair conscious. Not a good look for you.

As always, you amaze me with your adventures, Jason. Thank you for showing an area that I was curious about but knew nothing about.
Great vlog, thank you Jason. Looking forward to your adventures in Central Asia 👍
It's very cool, it feels like something from Shahrizada's fairy tale 1001 nights, how cool. Everything is there
Really enjoyed this vlog. It is surprisingly very cheap there. Much more than I expected!
I was in Tashkent 7 days ago too :)
Thanks for posting!

Very beautiful city 🤩
Try Rayhon Milliy Taomlari restaurant, Ming Chinor for national dishes or Sharshara restaurant ( if you intend to see unusual restaurant)
Cool place to visit
Looks like the more modernistic side is trying to look like a bigger version of Baku.

The way you pronounce Yandex makes me laugh even as an Englishman, It sounds like you are saying Yondex, makes you sound like a real posh southerner.
Hey Jason. Any travel destinations in 2025 except India?
