That Toro does a nice job with the plow. Pretty impressive! I have a potential idea for spreading salt by hand. I use this for grass seed, and it just might work for salt too. I use an empty 1 gallon container that plants come in. The empty container has varous size holes in the bottom. I put grass seed, and/or starter fertilizer in the containers and just start walking and shaking them in front of me. It does a nice job of distributing the seed through the holes. If the holes are too big, I put 2 containers together and rotate them so that the holes aren't alligned and are smaller. Works good. Thanks for the videos!
Used mag treated salt for two years. Never saw much difference in melting abilities in sub zero temps. One thing I did notice was if the load came overly wet, the salt would freeze up super hard. So, while treated salt works better in colder temps, the risk of spreader freeze ups increases.
Shawn got one on my mower! I baught a blower attachment in last year less work it moves the snow because everytime it snow i can only push the snow so far. With a blower i can move it farther out of my way for future snows, and spend less gas! And trips back and forth. A big! Fuel & time saver.👍🏻a blower hands down, sidewalks curbside as well pays off first year,in savings versesthe blade took a while till I saw it in action on a big snow. Blade is limited. 👍🏻
I’ve used treated salt before works great especially at lower temps. I’ve used green, pink and my favorite Was purple it makes it easier to see where you’ve been at night as well.
If you fill in some more gravel where you load your bobcat and raise the rear axle, your bucket will reach in way further. That angle is working against you.
It works at lower temperatures also shawn . Fast thawing and doesn't desolve as fast! As to melting time it stays meltingand still stands because of its capabilities of lower temperature standards . Great decision more @cost! But less consumption.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🏻
I’m amazed you don’t use the Boss push salt spreader to evenly disperse salt on the sidewalks and loading bays. So much easier on your body and hands . I never touch salt if I don’t have too! It’s faster too!
Love watching the videos. I think if you made the surface where the rear wheels of the bobcat stop when your loading the trucks level with the steel plate, it may give you a little more reach.
Probably the dump. A little shorter and the added weight really reduces the need to plow in 4x4, even with no salt in the back. The aluminum body Ford won’t rust out as fast though.
if you blend it there may be a chare for that and you have to see if it is worth the cost never know that idea came to mind as you was saying the new stuff cost more @@SpencerLawnCare
Next time have it delivered on the side that already has salt in it so you can load the bucket and drive all the way to the back. It'll make it easier to move it around.
Some of my commercial clients don’t let me salt new concrete for 3 years after it was installed. They say the salt hurts the concrete. Does this new salt safe for new or sensitive concrete? If so I need to get on board with it.
I farm an when it comes to harvest we are out at five AM with lights on. We continue throughout the day and into the night we shut down at 3:00 AM. Those are long hours nearly 22 hours. To things. We do not operate during the 4 am hour, reason your circadian rhythm wants you to sleep. We rotate crews on 10 hours. As we don’t want to burn daylight
We only run Clearlane. Walks and lots. Reduces rust. Doesn’t freeze. Great residual. No powder or stones. Doesn’t clog spinners. No boulders. Worth it. In the end or beginning of season can mix white with it.
Shawn sliding the MultiForce around like he’s in a drifting competition. Lol. Doing it slideways. Lol. Gonna be in the 50s near 60 this week down here. Probably go from snow to high water if it melts very quickly. Hope not though. Guys be careful stay warm and safe and keep up the great work. Bruce in Wv!!!
Green salt Shawn ? I've off load salt for years in mid coast Maine. Seen pink not green. Hope it works out for u guys. And love watching your videos. Keep up good work.
we used Cargil Corp. for our bulk salt they added purple to theres to provide visual reassurance for the customers that it had been applied. Same deal with sand in iowa its called ice control it's normal course sand with fine sand mixed for better visual coverage and piece of mind for the customers.
Great video as always Spencer we were just starting snow removal and salting in our business here in East Tennessee if anyone has any suggestions or tips please let me know
need to fill the landing area to get the rear wheels level with the front, it will move the pivot point of the buck arm 10 inches or more toward the center of the truck.
We did that with the multi force then used the blowers clean excess snow near the entry ways thru down heavy salt when we returned the blowers did all the work
All we use is clear lane. You will love it it’s a little heavier then white but it’s throws great and meats amazing!! You can use it in your side walks and not destroy them!!
They didn't get the shade of green quite right for Spencer Lawn Care!
Hahaha, maybe we can fix that!
@@SpencerLawnCare Trademarked salt!
And all this time I thought the green salt was for the lawns!
I saw a green v box and purple salt and a delivery of green salt I’m curious to see the results on the salt

You should only back drag enough to get behind it and push it you will do a better job
The Multi-force sideways slide and salt toss was perfect! 💪 😄
Hahaha
It's Ohio it's going to be 50 degrees on Thursday.
60 on Friday in Pennsylvania
@@Andrejlawncare crazy weather, we don't get winter anymore.
hey you should get signs on the side of your trucks so some people could call you for snow removal.
would be really nice if there was some sort of containment plow on the machine especially for areas like the loading dock
I like when treated salt is colored! You can really see where you applied!
We us green salting all the time melt faster
How awesome would it be if that green salt smelled like mint? 😂
Maybe we will put a few stops down 😂
As the snow melts and begins to look like turd soup it equally smells too lol a little mint might be lovely 😅
I think you could do with a detachable extension to the bucket to give you longer/better reach, what do you think? 🇬🇧
We all know you bought that salt cause its green. 😁
Exactly 😂
Used mag treated salt for two years. Never saw much difference in melting abilities in sub zero temps. One thing I did notice was if the load came overly wet, the salt would freeze up super hard. So, while treated salt works better in colder temps, the risk of spreader freeze ups increases.
You got the victory salt.
😂 🇺🇸

Hey Team Spencer, hope the new salt works out for you.
That salt you have works great. The multi force is a great tool to have. Have a great evening!
It is pretty darn fun to drive.
You need to mount your shovel on that mower. Just to have it handy
Your going to like it, helps you see where you have salted
Make sure tq leaves bucket low until ready to dump!
I’ve used treated salt before works great especially at lower temps. I’ve used green, pink and my favorite Was purple it makes it easier to see where you’ve been at night as well.
Now all you need is some sort of salt-spreader attachment for the multi-force.
You’ll Deff save a lot using it !
If you fill in some more gravel where you load your bobcat and raise the rear axle, your bucket will reach in way further. That angle is working against you.
Good work guys stay safe out there and warm
Great video! Very cool! LOVE IT! FUN TO WATCH!
Spencer you should do a test put different salt in each truck lay it down next to each other see which one melts the first
We could probably do that.
They sell a spray or something to treat your own rock salt.
Wow!! You guy's are wide open getting it done!!! 🤗
Please stay safe!!
Awesome video!!
Love you guy's 🥰

You should raise the ground up a little by where you put the salt in the truck so it’s level it will make it easier
You can tell when the skid steer front tires go onto the metal edge you installed it’s very uneven so you can use that as a height
Looks like you’re having too much fun on the stand on
I was. I won't lie 😂
Have you ever thought of putting a salt spreader on the grand stand to make it easier on the side walks
I’m amazed you don’t use the Boss push salt spreader to evenly disperse salt on the sidewalks and loading bays. So much easier on your body and hands . I never touch salt if I don’t have too! It’s faster too!
I ordered a part for it and it didn't work. I ordered another one we will see.
Yep better salt ... spreads nicer and you sjmhould like it especially for getting rid of ice
That new salt looks interesting good Video Shawn and TQ
just seeing if i am right u put the green stuff on the white stuff and then get payed with the green stuff now thats so cool
Love watching the videos. I think if you made the surface where the rear wheels of the bobcat stop when your loading the trucks level with the steel plate, it may give you a little more reach.
You guys should add a salt spreader on your mower
Salt looked cool spending around
Which truck does a better job plowing?
Which ever one TQ is driving. Lmao
Probably the dump. A little shorter and the added weight really reduces the need to plow in 4x4, even with no salt in the back. The aluminum body Ford won’t rust out as fast though.
With the cor of the clear lane salt, it will help you see where you have already been.
with open mind here but could you blend the 2 salt say 50% 50% where the stuff that cost more you can strech it out
For sure! We may when we get it down a bit
if you blend it there may be a chare for that and you have to see if it is worth the cost never know that idea came to mind as you was saying the new stuff cost more @@SpencerLawnCare
you're living my dream life, love to see the success
Thanks so much
Hi Shawn, I was wondering where the 5 gallon pail mount for the multiforce is from? Thanks
Looks like your canopy is loose in the back corners, needs tightened up. 👍🙂
It's stretched tight as it can be
Great video, very helpful. Currently we do not own any GrandStand mowers, but I think we need to demo one soon.
bucket arm NOT buck arm
Good morning. I am so happy to see this. I love seeing everything move forward the past few years. I am so happy for you and your family.
A light coat of wd40 may help from sticking
We have fluid film on it
Next time have it delivered on the side that already has salt in it so you can load the bucket and drive all the way to the back. It'll make it easier to move it around.
Clear lane is the best !!!!
But it's NOT Spencer green! LOL
Haha
I like the colour of the new salt
Get a Fisher! A lot better than those spreaders
My son brought some for me to try, I like it!
I believe it’s boss who makes a snorater or something like that it’s a plow and spreader combo for sidewalks and smaller places
That's the second time I've seen this green salt 🧂 something new cool. Looks like md snow ❄️ wet nasty snow..
That treated salt will work wonders
We hope so
Awesome video have a great upcoming Monday

Shawn you should see if BOSS makes a power V blade for the multiforce
We only run Clearlane. Walks and lots. Reduces rust. Doesn’t freeze. Great residual. No powder or stones. Doesn’t clog spinners. No boulders. Worth it. In the end or beginning of season can mix white with it.
Nice work and video as always 👏
Have someone weld a plate on the front of the bucket to give you a little more reach.
Tq, be careful driving with the bucket raised up like that
Ooo… salt in Spencer colours!
If the Grand St would have a salt spreader on it it be bad to the bone

I have never seen green salt before at least its will be stronger from the snow we don't get snow were i live

@@SpencerLawnCare lol yes sir
That’s one way to get out of family night! Lol
you get Hitch Mate the back your Toro of a salt spreader
Hey bro u should get both truck top siren green and white so they can notice that u work on plowed
That is the salt I use in ny and it is great
How much snow did y’all get??
Need a cutting edge on the ford
We have it, but it's not ready yet.
We did that with the multi force then used the blowers clean excess snow near the entry ways thru down heavy salt when we returned the blowers did all the work
Switch to brine with heat. Less salt
as soon as i saw the new Salt I thought they bought it for the color lol
All we use is clear lane. You will love it it’s a little heavier then white but it’s throws great and meats amazing!! You can use it in your side walks and not destroy them!!
Just curious, do you do any residential plowing or just commerials?
Just commercial snow removal
Which month do you guys start putting mulch down
You should look into getting a tractor from rural king to help load your salt it has a longer teacher then then skid steer
First!!
Thank you
If you could get that hump off the block wall you you would have a little more reach
Awesome video thanks for sharing love the toro salt slide
