Dude the "cuts and bruises and scrapes" line was actually a god teir reference.
This is the first time I’ve ever heard anyone complain about the cutscenes. They’re my favorite part of the game. ig my eyes just don’t mind the flashing
they arent super bad if you dont have the brightness turned up, and they are legitimately one of the greatest things about black ops 1 as its shows the conspiracy theory aspect of the game

Even after playing through the campaign multiple times through like 8 years I guess I never noticed the guard being shoved out of the Tower
It's on screen for about 2 seconds and nobody mentions it, so it's very very easy to miss.

2:44 that is actually realistic, most underbarrel grenade launcher grenades have a detonation timer before they detonate on impact, otherwise it act as a very heavy slug or a massive hunk of metal slapping someone at high velocity

The thing about the guy “absorbing” the grenade at about 2:45 is actually somewhat accurate in that those grenades are made to not explode until they’ve flown a certain distance.

@@AaronturnerPSN actually it wouldn’t. There are videos of soldiers shooting each other with them. It doesn’t even break their ribs, just knocks the wind out of them and leaves a nasty bruise. You can find them on youtube
@@Jacobzab I've heard of a story where a guy was trying to clear a Mark 19 machine grenade launcher, he didn't clear it right and I forgot if it took off his head or left a hole in his chest, either way, he was no longer living

@@fleecy9706 Not really a hot take since this game was released over 10 years ago. Only good thing about Lag Ops was emblems editing, Wager Match, Ascension, and the return of golden weapon models. Treyarch will always be inferior to Infinity Ward

I never expected the plot twist with what happened to Reznov. It was (and still is) my favourite plot twist in gaming history.
I played the campaign when I was young and I understood most of it but I never connected the dots
I've been playing this for 10 years. Watching you play this was painful but amusing
7:35 I remember playing this for the first time and just quitting after an hour of not figuring out what to do here. Spent a week going back and not accomplishing anything before finally figuring it out.

I loved this game so much. The story/ the multiplayer, everything. I honestly played the campaign WAY too many times

Man, Call of Duty plots are weird. It’s like, they try to give a focus to it… but then absolutely none of it makes sense and I feel like I’m going through a fever dream half the time.
its as if Call of duty black ops story is being told from the perspective a brainwashed soldier whos being interrogated, attempting to loosely form together what they remember
You say that but this is literally one of the few cods that actually has any Intriguing bits of story that isn't "I'm spec ops soldier guy and save my brother!" And in the moments it is, it's a mission long and continues on the overall story ark, unlike all of modern warfare. But your gonna interpret however your gonna interpret it and that's cool too man lol

I've played the BO1 campaign almost 4 times and I haven't encountered most of these bugs.
It's because the PC kid is sensitive about his field of vision settings
The cutscenes being so wild makes the most sense given Mason has no idea what's going on.
That and it's neat to hear the ECG flatline when you die in the flashbacks

Hey hear me out.. if your gonna do Black Ops 2.. there's mutiple alternate endings in which to do them is with the choices that the game gives you (like either shooting in the leg or head etc.)

The game does have a FOV slider. It’s in multiplayer at least, probably not campaign because of the quick time events.

Fun fact, 40mm grenades fired from the underbarrel launcher have a minimum arming distance of 40-50 feet
Another fun fact, said grenade would not simply blink out of existence when it hits something before the minimum distance
In the mission Executive Order, it took me over a god damn hour to get pass that last hallway on veteran difficulty, it took only 4 or 5 shots to the face to kill me and everyone had fucking aimbot
My second favourite part of this game are all the conspiracy theory references from Operation Mockingbird.
My favourite part is the copy of Zork I on the computer behind the chair. (I know it's a dumb terminal and Zork is on the minicomputer it is a terminal of, I didn't want to get technical.)
My least favourite part are the shooting sections.
