This song was originally released in 1997 from the 1997 album Flaming Pie and this official video was made for the song's release. Paul worked with Jeff Lynne on the album. The same Jeff Lynne who worked with George Harrison and was a part of the Traveling Wilburys band. Jeff Lynne has the magic touch and has produced solo work for George Harrison, Ringo Star, and Paul McCartney.
This was my very first CD. I remember my parents asking me why I didn't want someone like Britney Spears or someone for my age group. I listen to just about everything but this was a clear choice to me on what to pick and it wasn't Britney. When I found out I was getting a CD player I was so excited and carefully chose that first CD. It was Flaming Pie. Hell no, I didn't want anything else!! I love this song so much and this entire album is phenomenal and will always be the best choice I made for my first CD, no question. I even remember the smell of the cd when I opened it, how the pages of the booklet moved and felt. Every song on it, a masterpiece!! Unfortunately I moved several times and it got lost in a move. 😢 I still listen to it all the time here on UA-cam regardless.
It's a great album. I recently bought a copy as I hadn't heard it in years (my friend had the CD years ago) and it still sounds brilliant. Memory Almost Full is another fab Macca album!
he cried for a year straight after her death, and i’m sure he cried more after that. he did love her. and he knew she loved him. they were a match made in heaven.
And he must have found it especially hard to deal with her being stricken with cancer...the same disease that killed his mother when he was only fourteen. 😢
Linda and Paul are one of the most beautiful couples of all time. I love this song and this video! It makes you happy. Linda on pense toujours à toi, prends soin de Paul ;-) I looooove you Paul !
Wow. 23 years, has it really been that long? Thanks you've made me feel old 😂 when the album came out back then, i got so crazy i bought it as soon as it did, and for a few months this was the only album i would listen to, well until Ringo released Virtical Man lol.

Gabi Schettinne - Ha ha! Feels like *more* that a lifetime. I just turned 70!!! I remember well when The Beatles broke out onto the world stage. What a great "ride" it’s been for this lifetime "all things Beatle" fan ever since.
@Robd1 replies same here. A little sloppy on the directors hand. Could have spiced things up with some flashbacks .....yet, he is my sweet Sir Paul McCartney ❤🥳🤗💗
Love the reference to "My Back Pages"--The Byrds did a fantastic cover of that song. Paul thought that John would have appreciated "I go back so far, I'm in front of me", and I think so too. It has a Lennonesque feel to it.

Paul is such a nice guy he let his daughter's boyfriend make this video. He wanted to be a filmmaker and they were serious and so Paul gave him a break.
Geminis are known to look progressively younger as they grow old and Sir Paul's hermetic touch is effortless, is it true he became " Lord" McCartney.. And told no one? 🐝
All the old surviving artists should come together and create a super song before we start losing them. Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr just to name a few
I love this song. I do not know why? to me it is one of his best ever. Love the guitar, the arrangement. Every thing. Thanks Paul. Paul give me a shout out. We love you man.
This was also the year (1997) that Paul was knighted, no one deserved it more than you paul, and of course Ringo 😁 R.I.P Linda, George and John, and Cynthia. And of course the late great genius Sir George Martin.
And Maureen Starkey, for many years Mrs. Ringo Starr. The song on *Flaming Pie* titled "Little Willow" was dedicated to her; she died shortly afterwards, also of cancer.
Life is horrible, to love is to lose. If anyone has ever made existence seem bearable and joyful to a lot of people its Paul McCartney. Melody is horizontal joy and Paul is blessed by God. We're lucky to have him still here with us and I think our culture ought to acknowlodge that
Thank you Paul for all your amazing music over the years! The Beatles, Wings, the solo music, I love all the songs! Peace and love from Saskatchewan! Stay safe!

Very true.

Bruno Porcelli OH MY GOD SAME
McCartney and Lynne should have done a whole album together, that's the best that McCartney ever sounded without the Beatles...
Paul, eternally young.
I Remember watching this video when it premiered on VH1 network back in 97, great childhood memories
Seeing Paul with his hair slicked back is something we never knew we needed to see
He slicked it way back in the music video for Goodnight Tonight

Beautiful. Makes me cry.
Happy birthday 🎂🎉 Paul McCartney, God bless you

I am sure I can hear Ringo on drums, George on guitar and John's harmony. Absolutely brilliant song and music.
Yesss :p
Yes I agree 👍💯
This is the album in his solo career where Paul felt comfortable in his skin being a former Beatle. He embraces it.
Super well liké Birds in the SKY.... with Lucie......and John ...and George ...and Beatles FLOWERS.,.
Paul probably thought of Ringo, George, and John when he played drums, guitar, bass, and vocals on the song.
Haha 😂 it's funny to see
