The job market is slow-moving right now. I have a friend with CSC certification working full-time at CIBC, but he's facing challenges with promotions or switching to another job, which seems odd. My approach is straightforward: keep applying, identify areas for improvement, and make necessary changes. If you put in 100% effort, you'll eventually succeed.

Jashan, When I first came to Canada as an international student, job opportunities were more available, but now the market is slow and finding work is tough. I used to do Uber Eats on foot, knowing it didn't pay much, but it was better than nothing. Another option is getting a security license; I loved my time working in security. If you don't want to spend money right now, consider restaurant jobs. My sister told me that she visited every restaurant, leaving her resumes in the morning to meet managers, and it worked like magic. Many of my friends got jobs this way too. If you have any other questions or need more advice, feel free to ask!

@@Jashan-dt8ti Jashan there is no harm in doing that but as i am not expertise with this so i don’t want to guide you wrong but I can recommend focusing on improving communication skills and personal development. Communication is crucial here, and if you excel in that area, you'll be able to seize any opportunity that comes your way. So, if you have the time and feel the need to work on it, I highly suggest doing so.

Varun, Certifications are important for promotions in banking, but when I started at RBC in 2021, I didn't have any. Instead, I focused on gaining experience, improving my skills, and doing my job well, which helped me grow in the company.
According to today's competition, is it still possible to get into bank jobs without prior experience(except customer service that I have) or a bachelor's degree in a related field. I would be very grateful to you if you answered this question.
Harjot, Absolutely, it's still possible to get a job in a bank even if you don't have experience in finance or a degree in that field. Many banks have programs for beginners or people with different backgrounds. Your experience in customer service is valuable because it shows you're good at communicating and working with people, which are important in banking. Just focus on showing your skills and willingness to learn, and keep an eye out for opportunities. Networking and improving your skills can also help a lot.
