Seriously, everyone kept telling me to do it a certain way and I never really got my lats going, they said just keep trying, but then this video helped a ton. Amazing what some small pointers can do.
Same man it feels so different just doing this the engagement is so much better. As well the explanation at beginning helps explain what you want to achieve and steps
Simply changing my stance to the other leg just made a world of difference in the contraction. I had noticed my hips were rotating before the other way. Amazing
Making sure your shoulders are not hunched and your scapula is locked back is sooooo important for your back workouts but also chest workouts. Many people, myself included, overcompensate With our arms and shoulders.
With rows I never got my lats going, people said just keep doing it and eventually you’ll build up to it, but they just never felt right, this video helps a ton!
Thank you man. 😭 i have been looking for a wodkout like this for a long time. Now i work on even out my muscle since my right side is noticably bigger than my left.
Thank you for confirming this. I've had some issues with people about it but it's a lat workout and using the same foot just gives you stability for the intended muscle. I suggest lightweight just to get the form down. Good video! I'll tune in again!
Awesome. Thanks for watching. We haven't done a seminar specifically for calves but here's one of our older videos addressing that topic - ua-cam.com/video/_umnV1Hjc44/v-deo.html
retracting my scapula just exacerbates my issue where i feel it in my upper back. Tried everything including the elbow cue, still dont feel anything in my lats.
Been doing this while sitting down, I didn't know that changing position has a significant impact, gonna try this for my lats which aren't getting much work.
Oh wow, I've definitely been doing these wrong. After implementing your tips I feel it in my lats a lot more, but I'm also feeling it a lot in my upper traps. Any tips for fixing this issue? Just found your channel, subscribed! -Ryan
I followed all that was described in the video but am only feeling it in my triceps. I literally don't feel any soreness in my lats although they were contracted during the movements
*So easy to use and so convenient! Awesome in space saving. However, due to its adjustable weight design, the length of the dumbell is always the same regardless of weight. (I.e. a regular 25 lbs dumbell is longer than a 10 lbs dumbell). But that really not a reason to shy away. Also kinda expensive.... but!!! Overall quality **bestgym.equipment** and ease of use and storage, you cant ask for a better dumbell.*
That was educational! First time I've seen a row done like that. It actually looks harder to perform that the traditional method, or probably the incorrect method.
I’ve been bodybuilding for 35 plus years and never did these correctly which is why I considered it a bullshit excercise. This video is excellent and I can’t wait to try this technique out- probably today since I’m due to train back
Amazing video!!! Thanks. Been practicing just now with no weight and already felt a better mind muscle connection than today at the gym with a dumbbell ;)
You know what could really drive home the “sweeping” motion of this type of row - if you jump on one of the older hammer strength low row machines. The movement pattern of those machines brings the total motion into a very similar plane of this type of dumbbell row. You’re not just pulling with your arms.
Sir Great Video Most Important Video of My Life U Really Helps me A lot BTE I Just Want A Solution For My Knee Pain . my Knees upper part was Paining To Much either I didn't train my Thighs Am doing only upper body exercise Can help me
Hey, guys. Really hope you can help: In the past I could do DB bent-over rows with up to 30kg in a hand, without any discomfort in joints/tendons, and was able to keep working out such for multiple years. Recently I restarted working out, starting with very light weights, however got shoulder pain which is kind of like rotator cuff pain, but somewhat different. The difference between how I executed the rows before and now is: Before: pull the weight almost straight up to my chest/armpit. Now: pull the weight in an arcing fashion with elbow tucked in close to my torso, moving back and up, so as if pulling the weight towards my hip. Been researching this but couldn't find any reason why executing the move with tucked in elbow pulling to hip would hurt your shoulder. Could anybody please help? Will be insanely grateful in advance and thanks!
Cool tip on performance. Additionally when I'm at the gym I'm always so thrilled to see people rowing on the dumbbells rack instead of the bench which is located RIGHT BEHIND YOU!

So many people do this wrong and teach it wrong. This is exactly how it’s done. This is a perfect lesson on proper form.
Really appreciate that! Thank you
Seriously, everyone kept telling me to do it a certain way and I never really got my lats going, they said just keep trying, but then this video helped a ton. Amazing what some small pointers can do.
ive been struggling to activate my lats for months and months and video after video and after watching this FINALLY IT WORKS thank you so much man
Great to hear! Glad we can help 👊💪

Same man it feels so different just doing this the engagement is so much better. As well the explanation at beginning helps explain what you want to achieve and steps
How did you do it? I followed the video but am only feeling the excercise in my triceps
I just did it with light weight as a test and I can feel my lower lats tingling. I can’t believe I didn’t know this until now.
Simply changing my stance to the other leg just made a world of difference in the contraction. I had noticed my hips were rotating before the other way. Amazing
Awesome! Glad it's helpful
Gonna try this. I always listened to Arnold when he said Pulldowns and pull-ups are for width and rows are for depth and thickness.
this is actually a game changer for me i was doing way to much w my other muscle groups but this blew my lats up virtually overnight
Amazing!
Been rowing with rowing leg back and I just learned that rowing side leg should be in the front which makes sense. Thanks
This absolutely the correct way to do these ! I started doing them this way(the correct way) a few months ago And my lats are WAY bigger.
That's awesome! Thank you for sharing
2:28 look at that ego lat pulldown at the back.
Haha.. .yep
He’s just doin the levitations
AHAHAHAHAAHHAHHAHA
🤣🤣🤣 omg he is flying
That leg advice for stability is key ! Thanks.
You bet!

Am so happy after watching how active the youtuber is on the comment section even after 2 years. Hats off to you brother

This has been a game changer for my home gym. I'm super grateful for how easy it is to manage and also the way that it can be stored in tight spaces.
Struggling to feel Lata for so long, just performed this and instant fire I feel all over lats now, great tip thankyou

These guys need a seminar on building the calves. Good tips on the row, I'll drop the weight down and give this one a shot.
Awesome. Thanks for watching.

Thank you so much for the support! Glad the channel has been helpful to you

Oh wow, I've definitely been doing these wrong. After implementing your tips I feel it in my lats a lot more, but I'm also feeling it a lot in my upper traps. Any tips for fixing this issue? Just found your channel, subscribed! -Ryan
Yes, if you're feeling it in the traps, focus on retracting of the scapula before trying to row
Needed this
Gonna try this form tomorrow on my Pull day
An ad that actually paid off. Def a vid I needed to see. Sub
Please show all the variations of one arm dumbbell row for activating Lats and upper as well as mid back.

Glad it helped!
I never knew this. I will try this today and get back to you. Thanks.
I think this is the best video about lats on yt
Can you do this excercise instead of barbel rows. Barbel rows make my chest feel uncomfortable. Will it do the same or similar.
Thanks for the form explanation I was doing it very wrong
Damn I was doing it all wrong for so long. Thanks for the technical details and making them simple to digest.

Thank you! Awesome technique ! It totally focuses on my lats. My only pet peeve is when people lean on the weight rack to do this exercise
I think it is going to be very useful for lat.

Amazing video!!! Thanks. Been practicing just now with no weight and already felt a better mind muscle connection than today at the gym with a dumbbell ;)
YES! I had a mentor that used to say, "If you can't contract a muscle WITHOUT load, you have not earned the right to try and contract it with a load"
Amazing thanks.
How many sets of these would you suggest?
Thank you so much for this lesson man
Thank you for watching. Glad it helped 👊💪
Thanks coach.
