Holy, Holy, Holy,
Lord, God of Hosts
Heaven and Earth are full of your Glory
Hosanna in the Highest!
Blessed is He, who comes in the name of the Lord
Hosanna in the Highest
Hosanna in the Highest!
this is the one that SLAPS
My favorite as well!
Not hardly. Listen to this beautiful liturgy. Nothing beats this same one. ua-cam.com/video/rCGXE8yU_f4/v-deo.html
Lmaoo facts
So true i always thought this was the only version but when i search theres like 20 different kinds. This sounds like it came from the lord himself lol
It's the one my parish sings
Finally the good version 😭🙏
One of two good versions. The other being the version that came right after this one.
YUP
I grew up with this! My reaction exactly
@@sdrape4964the other good version is no where to be seen except in Sunday mass
I used to get in trouble in Catholic school for singing this one too loud in church. Its a certified banger though!
That’s a shame! I wish the congregation sang more. Don’t ever let anyone stop you again. What’s the saying? Something like “singing is praying twice as strong”?
This song just makes you want to take on the rest of your week.
I couldn’t agree more! Going to mass is my weekly reset
The best sounding version
Always! It’s like embedded in us
Best ever i heard since i statted church in 2003
Hauntingly beautiful, I always felt there was power embedded in this version
Takes me back to my childhood
We all made it to the good version
Powerful! This was the version i was looking for. Christ is King!
I’m happy you have found it!
I went back to my Catholic Church after 20 years and they had a different version. Thank you preserving this version.
At my church we rotate through three different arrangements of the mass throughout the year. For example during Lent and Easter we sang the “community mass”. However the Sunday following Pentecost and until Advent we’ll be doing mass of creation which is this version.
I wish my church still sang it this way 😭❤
Wait isn't it in the missal to sing it this way?
That feeling swelling up when you hear those first notes... Thanks be to God!
So glad to find this version on here. Brings me to tears.
I'm Happy you were able to find it! Definitely my favorite arrangement. Easy to sing along to but it still stirs up emotions.
I just woke up at 8 am with this song in my head
“Holy, holy, holy lord,
God of power, god of might,
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.”
Those are the lyrics I’m used to.
That was how it was written in 1973. But in 2011 they want back to closer more direct translations for certain parts of the mass. For example, the “and also with you” was replaced with “and with your spirit” just as an example
@@ddkrauss12 makes sense. Haven’t been to mass since 2010. Just went back on Christmas this year and heard all these changes. It felt so odd how so much has changed since I’ve been gone and even though it was with reason, I didn’t like it.
@@ddkrauss12 Hi David, I'm trying to find this version of the hymn but with the pre-2011 lyrics. Do you know where I can find it?
@@jaytrawm5744 ua-cam.com/video/HSn-o77ROes/v-deo.html could this be it?
@@ddkrauss12 YES! Thank you!
Best Catholic hymn written by a Prottie.
Thank you sir, me and my wife were looking for this to play in our Church wedding. God bless.
You’re very welcome!! God Bless your upcoming nuptials.
Finally. After all of these months. I found it
Thank you sir. I have found it!
finally i found it
You’re atleast the 3rd person to comment that you “found it” lol I’m so happy that you all are finding the version you’ve been lookin for!
@@ddkrauss12 it has been a good journey my fren, finally I came here to see this beauty
@@ddkrauss12 4th right here! hooked on the classics, lol
This song is so beautiful and inspiring! It certainly has a powerful message.
Found it!
Glad to hear!
Besides receiving, this is my favorite part of the Mass.
This song reminds me of my grandmas and grandpas funeral, they are the reason I became a funeral director.
Best rendition out of all of the ones I’ve heard in church. It’s the only one that hits me in the feels upon listening to the first few notes.
Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might,
holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full,
full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest,
hosanna in the highest.
This is simply the best! Although we find ourselves drifting from our cultural catholic roots, we alway find our way back. 🌹- now with knowledge increased to bring the good news that truly all Roads lead to The Lord God The Father, His Son & The Holy Spirit💜
What a beautiful church!
This is beautiful, wanted a reminder of what I used to listen to as a kid in CCD and this brought me to tears 🙏
Beautiful!
I wish this was on Apple Music or Spotify anything
Thank you sharing this is the exact version I was looking for God bless
Amen 🙌🙏 father God help my unbelief to believe 🙌🙌🙌
Finally find it! Praise God 🎉and Thank you 😊
You’re welcome! Praise The Lord.
Wish it was longer
Beautiful!❤
Best version!
This is truly an amazing song I found this song through meme from a catholic server
Happy Palm Sunday Everyone 🌴
We’re going to make it. Keep the faith
Sanctus of the Conciliar Mass
Dear God have mercy upon me a sinner
This version is better as it doesn't have the trumpet sound as in the other version.
I miss this version😢😢
Hallelujah
Look babe I found that bop I was telling you about
this is the best version
My favorite as well! I think it’s the easiest to sing along to while also being emotionally stirring enough to prepare you for what is about to happen (the consecration) next. Sadly I don’t hear it too often anymore.
Mass of Creation.
Found it, too!
1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Ephesians 1:7
YAAAAY
❤️✝️
Does anyone know what this version is called?
This is the “Mass of Creation” by Marty Haugen. Certainly no masterpiece.
Is there a longer version
Rest in Peace to everyone’s shins
Haha luckily our kneelers are very well padded...I've been on some uncomfortable ones before. In fact, once I was in NYC @ St. Patrick's Cathedral during renovations. I was seated in a row with two older French women, and a man from Australia. The kneelers were being refurbished so we knelt on the ground at the French ladies insistence haha.
The only version
Who’s here from papa gut?
where do I find the chords?
is this hymn on spotify (this version)?
Is this on Apple Music?
I AM Jesus Christ in the flesh
Does anyone know the history of this version of the Sanctus? Who composed it? What year? Etc.?
All I was able to find was that it was from the "Heritage Mass" Composed by a Owen Alstott who was born in 1947. I had no knowledge of what arrangements were what, I am not in the choir or the organist, just a Parishioner who loved the music...to ME it sounded the most traditional , but must not be if he's that young.
is there an apple music version of this song
There may be - The OCP Choir may have a recording of it. It would be titled Holy Heritage Mass probably.
Does anyone have the sheet music for this version of Holy?
It’s the “Mass of Creation” by Marty Haugen. Certainly no masterpiece.
@@joshuag.4873 What's one you think is better?
@@andrewprahst2529 Check out Hassler’s “Missa secunda.” ua-cam.com/video/Hs8Ik_IfHeE/v-deo.html
Thanks for the information on the composer! Definitely my favorite of all the versions I have heard.
Wasn't a model of this church on Roadside America ?
I have no clue…I’m not sure what Roadside America is.
Mass or Creation anything is always top tier. Joy and Peace is a good runner up as is Christ the Savior and of course the Chant Mass is always a classic. Anything beyind those four I dont want to hear it.
Mass of Creation and Christ the savior are the two that we cycle through the most at my church here! There’s a third too because I have 3 different version of this Holy Holy Holy on my channel but I don’t know what the 3rd version is titled.
@@ddkrauss12 my parish does the same thing but with Christ the Savior and Joy and Peace, I'm trying to convince our organist to throw Mass of Creation back into the cycle too.
@@kylekellerman6580 ahhh okay I just looked up mass of joy and peace thinking maybe that was it but I don’t recognize it.
@@ddkrauss12 maybe that third type is the Mass of St. Ann?
I love this piece but it actually is not a traditional Sanctus. it is from the heritage setting of the mass.
Thanks! I had no knowledge of what arrangements were what, I am not in the choir or the organist, just a Parishioner who loved the music...to ME it sounded the most traditional , but must not be if he's that young.
None of the Catholic Churches near me still sing this version… the new version sounds weird …. What about tradition?
Sorry to hear that! I have noticed depending on the time of the Liturgical Season, different arrangements of the mass are used. Hopefully you hear it again soon!

Wich one has the word charaphim in it
So doleful, almost mournful. Doesn't sound like anything I imagine the cherubim and seraphim singing.
Then leave us and go back to whatever Bible cult you belong to.
