The Chinese staff is fleixble and the Japanese is rigid. What is the history of this and what are the usage differences, pros and cons of flexible vs rigid staffs?
Can one use the flexible as a hiking stick like one can with the rigid staff?

What is your Bo made of? What wood is it? Is it lightweight? Does it break easily? Would you reccomend it for a beginner? I have a really heavy Bo and its really difficult to do some things because of it. Thanks in advance!
