Cinnabon doesn't have a lot of variety, but what it does, it does damn well.
I once saw a Sbarro out in the wild...it was the damndest thing because i got a slice but it just didn't hit the same. Maybe its that mall water that makes it taste so good lol

Orange Julius is definately a mall food place. The signature Orange Julius is classic.
I don't consider Taco Bell as mall food. I see more McD's and BKs in malls than I do Taco Bell's.
I don't know if Schlotzki's Deli is still around but I used to like that place quite a bit.

Back in the 80s, there was a Chick fil a in every mall around the South. It is definitely old school mall food.
We didn't even get a Chick-fil-A outside of the mall in Little Rock until the mid 2000s. 😂😂😂

Hot Dog on a Stick is a corn dog spot at California malls. Top tier corn dogs and fresh lemonade.
That pepper Jack cheese on a stick is top tier too
Used to have one here in Michigan. Closed down and haven't seen one since I was 10. they've spawned my hate love relationships with corn dogs that exists to this day
I like the cheap Chinese food mall food. They usually give you a lot. There's also a lot of dead malls in the Cleveland area.
We just got Panda where I live. Haven’t tried it yet, but I ate Panda a lot growing up in a different state. I’m a lot healthier now, but I’m ready to eat 3 boxes of Orange Chicken, and Choi Mein😍
There are Sbarros in most of the service plazas on the Ohio turnpike! I always get excited when I'm going that way. Also some truck stops have them
Thank you for respecting Sbarro’s. Their pizza and Stromboli’s are amazing. I (very rarely) venture over an HOUR to go to the Orlando mall that has one in it. Such a shame it left my nearby mall and is forever missed

Honestly if I were to do this whole list for my personal taste I would just call it my Mall/Airport tierlist because honestly I feel like malls and airports are semi similar as far as what chains you’ll see there. For some of those I feel like I see them more in airports than in malls.

8:10 Wetzel Pretzels come in bite size balls, soft hot, kinda doughy but not, and then stiffed with pepperoni. Theyncome in a bag which can get kinda greasy reminding you that you're messing with some serious pepperoni.
Then there's the cinnamon sugar one and another and also full size pretzels in these variations.
Chick-fila in malls is definitely a thing and they have those free samples in malls only
Revisit this tier list before the year ends…definitely would put Cinnabon higher and aunt Annie but to each it’s own
I would move auntie anne and Cinnabon up to A tier because even if they only do pretzels and cinnamon buns, it’s the best of the best of those foods. I’d say the same about sbarro moving it to S tier, best damn slice of pizza ever had in my life.
Also the “Ja” spot that you couldn’t pronounce is actually Baja Fresh and the rest of the name was clipped out for some reason. Mexican grill spot, pretty mid if you ask me.
I’m surprised I didn’t see any mall Chinese joints in here because there’s like 2 in every mall I’ve been to.

The one you really couldn’t see is Baja Fresh, a MexiCali food place. Not fast food, but not a full on restaurant. You still have the option to sit.
Hands down, Baja is better than Chipotle or any other fast food “Mexican” food place.
All I know is that this was a fun video to watch bc I love mall food since we were kids and in high school hanging out at the mall 😂 I had just been thinking about Charlie's yesterday bc I wanted one of those philly cheesesteaks all oily and gooey 😂 since I can't find a spot here in Birmingham... Idea for next tier list: Fancy Restaurants. Such examples being places like Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and Texas Roadhouse to name a few.
The Wetzel pretzel hot dog bites are pretty damn good.
I will stand down on this one, because as a kid and teen we only went to the mall to shop! We always had some extra fly place that we went to, either before we went shopping or after! Only as an adult I ate a few times at the mall and it was always at some super tight Asian spot here in Northern California.

As far as Sbarro goes outside of the mall I'm a truck driver and when im OTR and pull into a truck stop and see Sbarro I def grab a few slices and there breakfast pizza slices Top tier 🙌🏾🤣🔥💯

Hot Dog on a Stick has a thing that's like a corn dog, but instead of the hot dog in the middle, it's cheese. It's fried fucking cheese on a stick. It's S-tier.
They've been taking them out of the malls in the Pacific Northwest so my wife was overjoyed to find one in Las Vegas.
He says Panda is garbage but puts Nathan's on very top. The man is mad lol.

Idk about Cleveland but in New Jersey most if not all of the Qdoba/chipotle restaurants we have are in or around malls
My mall is weird. Like 5 years ago they demolished half of it to build a cinema. Problem is the food court was a casualty. A handful of restaurants got decentralized and scattered around the mall, but most of the standard mall food isn’t present. We have a sbarro, a Cinnabon, a McDonald’s, Mrs fields and a weird walking taco joint. There are a bunch of restaurants outside, and the food at the cinema is off the chain, but very little proper mall food.
I remember when Walmart had a small McDonalds in their Supercenters. When they lost their McDonald's franchise, they converted them to "Radio Grills," and closed those after a few years.
I think Panda Express can be considered mall food. Definitely not as good as traditional mall Chinese food tho
Wetzels would be much the same as Auntie's. Orange Julius was always a good spot for hot dogs, they would do those regional styles like a Chicago dog an whatnot.

Cinnabon and auntie Annie’s are usually together at the malls in Atlanta. And I have never seen a Taco Bell in a mall.

Bruh you need to try Wetzel’s. Every mall in Arizona and California have at least one of them. East coasters will never know its greatness. It makes Auntie Anne’s look like McDonald’s pretzels, which don’t actually exist.

Häagen-Dazs is a standalone on South Street in Philadelphia and it's inside the King of Prussia mall

I'm from Trinidad, and some of the most popular malls are laden with American fast-food chains. From KFC to Starbucks, Burger King, Pizza Hut...😭
You know I think I’ve seen more chipotle’s in malls than I have in the wild so I might go mall for them. That being said, I’d go C tier. It’s mostly some mid but when they hit on something I’m a fan.
Charlie's subs is S Tier for me. And theyre the only chain that has Lawry's salt and vinegar for their fries.
As far as just places I usually see in the mall are those pretzels dogs👌👌, Sbarro, cinnabon, panda Express, love me some taco bell in or outside the mall. Red robins it seem like every location I go to the fries are so damn salty, have a damn headache afterwards

In NJ we had a Burger King in our Mall I don't think it's still there but it was the smallest Burger King I've ever seen it was like three tables
I completely agree with this man about Big Chain fast food restaurants being in the mall. LOL, I live in Lawton Oklahoma and I remember one time they had a Dollar Tree in the mall. That was dumb as hell too.
Any lunch line style place (qdoba, chipotle, panda…) are mall foods. Also I didn’t have chic fil a outside of a mall until I was an adult. I thought it was a mall specific type place.
