i did the same thing.. i had to put my cat to sleep 3 days ago the vet said it doesn’t look good even with treatment. She would throw up water foam.. i wish i told my vet about giving her fluids before i made that decision. By the time i had money to go to vet it was too late i bought everything i could think of for kidneys nutritition gel Ph water non nausea drops so she wouldn’t throw up it cost me $400 to euthanize my shrimp and cremation i dont even know . wish i could turn back the time
the crystal bowls sound like a good idea! Ive heard cats prefer to drink from a dark bowl because they can clearly see the water level. However, fresh running water is a better idea. After getting my cat a water fountain, it became the most frequent hydrating spot for them and I really think they drink more than they used to. btw I also feed my cat with wet food (usually cans mix with water), I think it helps a lot too.
I gave subq fluids to my diabetic kitty in late stage kidney disease. However, he loved for me to syringe water into his mouth which I was glad to do because he loved it so much.
My Siamese, Puddith Anne, was on subcutaneous fluid therapy for several years. She was very very good and tolerated it beautifully. We called it time for "taking on the waters". We had a special chair and place to do the therapy. She knew what was coming when we went to the chair. It kept her going until after she was 20 years old. I still remember during those times of fluid therapy how close we were. I would speak gently to her on how this would make her feel better. Somehow she knew as well. Think it of a time of bonding between you and your pet.
I can’t wait for this video, all the videos that I watched were really helpful, one of the greatest cat UA-camrs out there, and definitely the most informative. Keep up the good work! However, the main thing most UA-camrs don’t do is reply and interact with viewers, comments etc. You are an outstanding person who always finds time to reply to your viewers, and that’s what makes us always come back and support you, thank you for being an amazing UA-camr in general, I hope to come back for more.

@lisatague Hi I am new mom feline, Can you helped me what brand is average food good to buy she only 12 weeks old when adopted they give a purina chow but she looks don’t eat well .? Any advice thank You
Sub Q, is like magic to the quality of life for my cat. I prefer the the syringe method so I can just top him where ever he is at with some adjustments. He normally does not mind but if he is dehydrated he does not feel well so he avoids me, yet after few minutes he quickly starts purring and feeling better. The treats help. So I do have a schedule of every 36 - 48 hours and do have to increase on hot days. He has tight skin for a cat so the max is 120cc, so more frequently than by volume. Look forward to your next video.

Speaking of water I was watering the garden w a water bottle (the watering can was heavy ok-) and my lil dum kitty chased it, and tried to attack.. the water. While actively getting wet. Not to drink it no, he was actively trying to murder water, all paws no teeth. I love him so much
Thank you so much for talking about this! I lost my own cat a while back due to some seriously suspect advice from the local vet. They wanted us to inject 6 full 100ml syringes daily to try and keep our potentially diabetic cat hydrated. His eyes started tearing up from what we suspect was excess fluid at just 1.5 syringe and we stopped there because there was no way 600ml was going to fit under a 3.6 kg cat's skin, much less daily. Never got to see him get better. They also miscalculated and sent us out with too low insulin dose and that... didn't help. So yeah, this information is super important!
@@HelpfulVancouverVetI think , there is a problem . People, who wanted to become a DOCTOR in HUMAN MEDICINE and failed, turned to becoming a vet. That was not their 1st choice , it was more a substitute. Becoming a vet 1st choice their HEART is involved. We always had wonderful vets apart only one, who was scared of cats and dogs . He was more a country vet, moved to an island HELGOLAND, were we had a few sheep and a few Scottish Highland Cattle, but mainly cats, dogs, budgies etc. We couldn't fly or go by ship to the mainland, seeing a vet, staying in a hotel for th night and sailing home next day. If there would have been a mayor treatment, we would have been off to the mainland ! There was no real trust, sorry. There must be a bond between animal and vet , which helps ME bonding with him too. Being a vet is a huge responsibility. The animal can't tell you , what is wrong. You have to rely on what the owner tells you, the reaction of the animals, moving , fur, skin you name it. " HUT AB" or CHAPEAU ! 💓🇩🇪💓
Always love how gentle you are with Pirate... I've taken care of over 100 cats in my time, and my oldest is 16 and has never had any health issues (so far)... I've been so lucky with him. Giving shots and fluids is so uncomfortable for me for some reason. I guess because I feel like I'm hurting them, even tho my brain knows it's helping them... I always need some reinforcement to make myself do it haha.
Clawdia is hilarious. Good photo bomb, Clawdia. Important vid. Thank you for your service. And thank you, Mr. Pirate, for demonstrating proper hydration detection.
Perfect timing with this video! I recently had to take my young cat to an emergency vet because she was vomiting for three days and I got scared not knowing how to assess dehydration in cats. Everything turned out fine--it was just gastritis, the vet thought she may have eaten something weird. And no foreign objects like yarn (I'm a knitter) or rubber bands.
One of my guys, a 14yo domestic shorthair, suddenly lost a lot of weight. Turned out be to a thyroid problem, but treating him for that exposed kidney disease. He's gotten subq fluids a few times, appetite stimulants and anti-nausea meds, and we're working to keeping him nourished and hydrated while also making sure he's comfortable. Thank you for the great information - this helps me understand the hydration part.
Im a new subscriber, my cat is 9 years old. She has kidney result a bit bad. Vet told me it's a early stage of renal disease. I'm really stress. She seldom drink water . Your video is very helpful. I just realised I take care cat wrong. I will follow your instructions. Thank you ! Sorry for my bad English. Moreover, i want you open youtube subscription. I believe many people will subscribe ( me too.)
Thanks for the info. My vet prescribed 100cc normosol-r every 3 days for my almost 20 yr old 9 lb cat that also has a heart murmur. No other issues. He was not too tolerant at times so went to every 4 days. Often don't quite get in 100cc but I administer until he complains and wiggles too much. Hard to know about poops since I have 2 other cats. He drinks alot and I add some water to his canned food, but he also likes some dry food. He's very bony so needs calories. Have a swirling fountain that he loves and 2 other water sources in different locations. Hope to celebrate his 20th birthday in July. 😻
Will just throw out that one of my pack 'Ringo' has advanced kidney disease and I have been giving subcutaneous 0.9 normal saline for the last 4 months (100cc once per week - as prescribed from vet). Treatment has been a life saver to this point. Have to administer solo which is a bit tricky but kitty starts feeling better almost immediately after process completed & has a lasting effect (over several days). Three pieces of advice for the process. First using a larger needle say 16 gauge (as opposed to 18 - 20 gauge, the higher the gauge #, the smaller the diameter of the needle) makes for a quicker administration. Process takes less than 5 minutes. Second make sure roller clamp is closed tightly after each administration (I've had a bag run dry when I didn't 🙄). Last would be use a permanent black marker on IV bag to mark fluid level after each administration. Can be hard to see fluid level in the IV bag without. End side note, cat milk made by Whiskas has seemed to provide an excellent supplement for poor appetite (cat loves it & has Ensure-like consistency). Has allowed my cat to put back on a bit of weight. My 2 cents & best wishes. PS - A shout out to the 'All Cat Clinic' in Englewood, C.O. (just south of Denver) where my cats go to the vet (top notch rating are well deserved!) & note can order 1000cc saline bags from Walmart (though vet info. needed when ordering).
You should talk to your cat about using a fluid like LRS or normosol as 0.9% NaCl has not been routinely used in IV fluid therapy in over a decade (by people who stay up to date). The treatment frequency is also rather low, but may be appropriate for mild kidney dysfunction.
Oh they’re always such Stars! Thank you Mr. Pirate and Ms. Claudia! (OK, we know it’s “Clawdia” but spell check is stubborn) and Mr. Pirate, you are one smokin’ Tom ;-) Thank you for the information! much appreciated. But can I just mention? Mr. Pirate and Ms. Clawdia and why they need their own Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame because they earned it and they’re educational for cat owners and we love them-why not?
My cat is almost four. She absolutely loves ice water. In fact, she drinks far more water when she knows there's ice in it than otherwise. She used to have a drinking fountain, but with the ice water in a regular bowl, she's drinking much more and much more often.
Thank you very much for your videos! My 16 year old siamese mix was diagnosed with stage 4 CKD in January and give weeks to live. We did IV therapy followed by subq every other day and she is still quite healthy. Your information was so helpful when we were faced with the diagnosis, and it helped us understand how to keep our cat happy and healthy. I can't thank you enough!
Thank YOU 🙏 THANK GOODNESS 😅 YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have senior cat 10 and a frisky 3 year old. I’ll take the senior for a vet visit. So informative. Thanks
Wee wee watches with me. Since I first started watching you I got two babies. Wee wee and little bitty. Bitty likes to sleep in the cat tree and wee sleeps on the bed with me. Every night we go through the same routine the wee acts like she is in the room for the first time every single night but each morning they wake me up early making noise till I get up and feed them. You are the greatest
Hi! Doc! My cat, 15, suddenly became lifeless. Her vet said severe kidney values and to get to hospital asap. Hospital said $6,000 up front. I'm tapped out by $800 vet bill just to diagnose. I had to try the impossible at home. No one could tell me how much. The vet said 3x a day at 100. Others said that's too much. You could over-hydrate--then what? Right? So this is day two on antibiotics and anti-nausea meds and an appetite stimulant in ear. Anyway the cat hasn't eaten in like three days. I was going to euthanize my best friend this morning but right before I was going to grab her for her final journey she walked out into living room and gave me the look like she was hungry. I gave her some food and she ate it. So I put the idea of putting her down on hold. I gave her 100 Sub-Q this morning and she didn't get the hump normally seen after doing sub-Q. I'm wondering if she was so dehydrated there was no hump. Now I want to give her more. I plan to give her another 100 later today but is that enough. Should I try to do three like the vet said before telling me it could overhydrate her. How can I judge if I have given her enough or too much? She hasn't pooped because she hasn't eaten. I should be getting phoso bind delivered today but don't know if she'll eat it. My cat does not have heart problems.
My cat is currently going to the vet every day to get this done by a vet tech. It's a $32 fee. Myself & my family don't feel comfortable doing it yet. My vet told us we have to learn today because it's going to be a permanent thing. My cat has been taking this for two weeks now.
Dr. Uri, I just fell upon your site. You have the perfect temperament, know-how and personality to be the quintessential Vet!! LOVE that you gave him so many kisses, too! I'll be a watchin' June from Maine
Thank you so much for your work. Nursing my cat through serious illness and your videos have been helpful and also very comforting. I just have a question, how long can the SQ fluid bag last once it's opened? The only advice I've had is don't use it once it becomes cloudy. It seems to me that if i wait until then, then I've probably been using it too long.
Our Mimi the Evil Tuxedo Cat quickly decided she abhorred SubQ treatments, regardless of whether it was us or the veterinarian. It got to where she hid, refused to interact with the family and became miserable, trying to avoid them. We had a difficult discussion with our vet, and it was decided to continue the interventions she'd allow, and discontinue the SubQ. Within 2 weeks her sass was back. Heck, when her kidneys completely stopped and she was falling over, the veterinarian who had come to do the in-home euthanasia petted her tail (a crime!) she got off the chair and tried to sass off. She went out her way.
Hope people won't mind a 2nd comment. Dr. Uri's UA-cam advice is so helpful, and his advice actually helped give the cat who adopted me on Christmas Eve and extra year of happy life. My question, Dr. Uri, is that although injecting fluids into a cat appears to be quite common in continental America (Canada & the USA) it's something I've never heard of being supported by vets in England 🇬🇧. Vets here seem reticent about owners giving injections to cats. Any thoughts/advice on this? I'm thinking it might be difficult for people to obtain the equipment (especially hypodermic needles) needed to inject the fluids. Our regulations are so tight about hypodermic syringes and needles, as they government and medical professionals think anyone buying these things is a drug addicted junkie. (I use hypodermic needles in my work, and it's extremely difficult to buy needles that aren't blunted in England.) Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks, Rick
I know this was 2 years ago but now I am giving daily sub fluids to my 18 year old cat and in fact did give to one about 8 years ago here in UK. Now it is so easy with fluid bag, butterfly needle and plastic vials. Onky takes about 10 mins. Remember to warm the vials/ syringes before hand. I put them on the ch boiler for a while. Also needles can be bought on line and fluid but the fluid needs vet prescription. Things have improved a lot.
Thank you for every video. Knowledge you have shared. Has helped me greatly in cat rescue groups I work with. And I know you have helped?mevwith my personal pets. Thank you.
Is the video about the special Sub-q contraption out? Can you add a link to it? I couldn't find it when I went through the video list. LOVE these videos. So helpful. Our cat Shazam has just been diagnosed with early kidney disease and I want to do all I can to stave it off for as long as possible.
i have been waiting for this, my cat RARELY drink water, but I do give her extra water in her wet food. she eats 80gr of WF split by 2 meals, with added 20ml of water added. she also eat another 20-30 grams of dry food on top of the canned one, and I add extra water by mixing sheba treats with water or raw goat milk
Try feeding wet food only. Since wet food has a higher water % than dry, just replacing dry food with wet improves overall hydration. I recommend this for cats over the age of 10.
Hi! Thank you so much for your videos and being such a great role model for all vets. So at 6.06 you mention that there is newer video to come out designed by a client of yours to administer subq fluids? Can you tell me if that's up? I couldn't find it on the channel in the newer videos.
Great video. I look forward to watching the sub-q instruction vids you have posted. When you say a 100-300ml injection, how often is that to be? Or is it a one time remedy? Thanks.
Woah all those years I ran after mine with an oral syringe full of water when it as too warm in summer. True her water has a bad habit to stick to her lungs somehow... Maybe not the same dynamic but now she is truly diagnosed on early stage. Not there yet but very attentive. Also, I have a Scottish Fold male also that is very close to his 7yo and their genetic troubles include but not limited to kidney disintegration >.< Now I understand the vet at the SPCA when I adopted him after fostering him explaining me about kidney stones and male urinary system so much, I learned about that in time accumulating all I can read on his genetic specifics. (At least he had a parent with long limbs, if he was a munchkin also, I would confuse back problems and renal problems.)
My 20-year-old cat has a strong preference for dry food since that's all her previous owner gave her. Luckily, she's always drunk water regularly and I've managed to transition her to half wet food most days, although there are times when she refuses to eat it. Then I have to try different brands until I find one she will eat. I've been careful to vary the food that my 3-year-old cats eat so that they don't get stuck on one type or texture of food. However, they don't drink enough water, even with various types of water fountains and dishes. They don't have any illnesses and pass the first 2 tests you mentioned but their stool is a little hard. I'm wondering if adding water to their wet food would soften their stool a bit and/or provide other benefits. If so, how much water should I add? I weigh their food to ensure that they get the right amount of calories, so I'd add water after I measure so that they continue to get enough calories.
We had a cat with very similar tastes, and we would just try a little bit of extra water in their food at a time, while slightly reducing the dry food and see how they get on. The important thing is to make sure you don't put them off wet food if that's their principle source of fluid.
You are a great communicator! Would you be able to talk about Mr Pirate's diseases (which btw are similar to my cat's who has hypertension, hyperthirodism, IBD and CKD.. ) and how to cope with the different issues which often seem to clash?
HI! Thank you so much. I have a 14 years old girl who has a begininng of renal failure, I give her fluids every day, about 80 or 120 ml. She looks and behaves normal, beautiful shiny fur, very sociable, enjoys cuddling and walking outside but she lost all her appetite so I feed her 4 times a day. She doesn't poop very otfen as well. These are very hot days in Italy! Thank you and thanx to anyone who can tell me something about helping her to eat by herself.
My cat weighs 3kg, so her fluids should be around 150ml based on your advice. How many days a week do you recommend administering the fluids at this amount? What is the name of the video that you mentioned in this video about the improved method for administering fluids that your client came up with? I could not find it in your videos. Thank-you for this video!
My little old lady is about 18. Not sure exactly, because she arrived out of the woods with five other cats one June day. She’s had mysterious ailments since November, 2020. Some is due to thyroid, some to kidney problems, but she’s also deaf and has balance issues. She also has digestive problems which show up as diarrhea that seems to follow if her electrolytes get low. The sub-q fluids seem to help firm her up and get on a more even keel. In fact, I have to harpoon her now to maintain her schedule. She hates it, so we’re doing well if I get 150 ml in her. But she keeps on rolling along for now.
My 15 year old cat stopped drinking water when she had a nasal polyp that made it difficult to drink without water flowing into her nose around the polyp. So I started giving her fluids subcutaneously. She's had the polyp surgically removed, but is still afraid of the water bowl. She's a tiny girl, so I give her around 100 ml a day, more if she seems a little dehydrated. Thankfully, just today, she drank from a cup, but not nearly enough. I think I'll probably be giving her fluids for the rest of her life.
I saw a post today by a Vancouver based cat rescue that shared, with our heat wave, to help keep your cat hydrated to add a bit of unflavoured Pedialyte to your cats wet food. Would this help or be advisable?
What about hydracare if the cat drinks it eagerly? Mine is drinking two packets a day and would drink more most days? Really appreciate you, doctor Uri.
If you have the time, could you please shoot a video on feline glaucoma & eye issues, especially for older cats? My 12+ y.o cat has been diagnosed with it and your 'how to give eye medication" video has been so helpful, but I'd love to get an educational video about the condition to understand it more. Thank you so much!!
My roommate's cat needed SCF once a week and he HATED it so much! He wouldn't cooperate with my roommate so she often had to take him into the vet to have it done. Unfortunately he passed away about two months ago, likely due to a bowel issue which now that you mention the dehydration/constipation thing, might be related.
I have been giving my renal cat fluids for six years now based on his capillary refill on his gums, skin turgor, and stools and he’s doing amazingly. Do you have any tips on how to keep your nerves down while injecting? My cat will only allow me to use one of his sides. It is getting harder to navigate a lot of scarring after years of fluid therapy, and he is getting more prone to bleeding (though he doesn’t have high bp).
Thank you for this. My kitty has CKD and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and the cardiologist said to limit fluids to 25 mL. I measure kitty's water consumption, and on days I give 25 mL fluids, she simply drinks 25 mL less. So there's no real fluid replacement occurring. What are other options to help hydrate her? 😕
Hi dr uri. Is there any possible way you could spare a few moments to chat about my cst? I really meed some solid advice and you seem so knowledgeable and kimd. Please let me know if thats a possibility. Thanls Kat
In humans, the army uses urine colour as a key indicator of how dehydrated someone has become. I the case of cats, our use of cat litter makes this difficult, because the litter almost instantly absorbs the cat's urine. However, Dr. Uri, I've just seen a product called the Katkor Non-Absorbent Litter Urine Collection/Sampling Kit, which contains non-absorbant litter beads. I'm wondering if there are other non-absorbent litters that we might use, so that tipping the litter tray would allow us to visually inspect the colour of the cat's urine? Thanks, Rick
There are, but I would advise strongly against visually inspecting your cat's urine on a regular basis. Its unhealthy. Psychologically. Of course we should keep an eye out for things like blood or frequent, non-productive trips to the litter box, but Urine color renders no useful information to the average cat owner.
@@HelpfulVancouverVet thanks, Dr. Uri. Those granules are expensive too. (BTW, don't forget you were looking into setting up a PayPal account, so we can contribute $s to your good projects 😉.) Rick

I love these videos and they are extremely helpful. our kitty has kidney disease and we just started giving her sub fluids. she does not like it at all. it's not so much the needle poke; she doesn't like to be held down and fights us. oy! but we persevere and it seems to be helping. i don't think she's put on any weight (bummer) but also not losing weight (yea!). i'm not getting notifications for these videos. can anyone explain why? thank you!!!
My cat is not drinking water and his blood and urine test was normal. The vet hydrated him he urinated and pooped that was powerful smell. He is still eating and playing. His weight is fine I bought a fountain but he is just not wanting to drink. I give in 2 oz with a syringe but it is stressful
My cats rarely drink so:
1. I don't distract them when they're drinking. I don't move, I keep silent, so they take in more water.
2. I have a water bowl in every room.
3. I thrifted big, cut-crystal serving bowls for their water. The prismatic sparklyness catches their eye and reminds them to drink.

@lisatague Hi I am new mom feline, Can you helped me what brand is average food good to buy she only 12 weeks old when adopted they give a purina chow but she looks don’t eat well .? Any advice thank You
My daughters cat died recently - I am crushed, still, better to have loved than to never have known love. Take care.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. IF YOU ARE STRESSED, DEPRESSED, OR STRUGGLING WITH MONEY PLEASE BE SMARTER THAN MY MOTHERS MISTAKES. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GET A CAT, DOG,ETC.
TRY TO HAVE AS MANY AS YOUR PROBLEMS FIXED AS YOU CAN BEFORE BRINGING ANOTHER LIFE INTO YOURS.
(Sure this is common knowledge for most but, there are many people in this world who shouldnt have pets, they're nearly suffering around you. Especially with cats they don't like to show when theyre sick til they can't)
I really appreciate people like you youve saved me a lot of money just watching your videos from the states, 😭😭 from the bottom of my heart thank you
I can't find the video you mention at 06:00. Would be very interested in learning a new method for subcuntanious infusion. Thank you.
Yeah, unfortunately the veterinary profession is pretty uneven in the quality of professionals it admits/produces.
I’m really so sorry this happened 💕

@Karin Dickinson here at least it's probably harder to get admitted for vet science than medicine
@@karindickinson7993 it is harder to get admitted to Vet medicine here in America…
Do treats for you and the cat after and then you’ll both look forward to it
Clawdia is hilarious.
Bless Roo. May he celebrate that special day with you and yours. Thanks for giving him the most loving home possible.
(just south of Denver) where my cats go to the vet (top notch rating are well deserved!) & note can order 1000cc saline bags from Walmart (though vet info. needed when ordering).
thanks for mentioning Walmart for the saline bags. We get our Libres from there.
You should talk to your cat about using a fluid like LRS or normosol as 0.9% NaCl has not been routinely used in IV fluid therapy in over a decade (by people who stay up to date). The treatment frequency is also rather low, but may be appropriate for mild kidney dysfunction.
@@HelpfulVancouverVet yes we use the Ringer's. Shelf life though is important. Only good for 7 days after bag is punched.
@@HelpfulVancouverVet TYVM Dr. Burstyn! Will follow up with my vet on your suggestion. Best wishes to you, family (including pets) & staff..
Thank you @NesconProductions for the kitten milk suggestion as it is helping our almost-20 year old girl. (Not the cat in my icon, though 😀 )
You are such a wholesome guy. Keep on going.
Thank you so much for another very helpful video. Greetings from Berlin, Germany and congrats to being married 💞
Oh they’re always such Stars! Thank you Mr. Pirate and Ms. Claudia! (OK, we know it’s “Clawdia” but spell check is stubborn) and Mr. Pirate, you are one smokin’ Tom ;-)
Thank you for the information! much appreciated.
So great to see you and pirate . I really look forward to it !!!
Keep that cat nice and shiny
Thank you very much for your videos! My 16 year old siamese mix was diagnosed with stage 4 CKD in January and give weeks to live. We did IV therapy followed by subq every other day and she is still quite healthy. Your information was so helpful when we were faced with the diagnosis, and it helped us understand how to keep our cat happy and healthy. I can't thank you enough!
Glad to see big chungus Mr P healthy and happy .
Thanks for this! I’m concerned for our cat & will make an appointment with our Vet asap.
Very informative Dr Yuri, thank you!
Thank you so much for all the knowledge and helps the people around the world
These videos are lifesaving...thank you!!!
Thank you doctor 🙏🏻🙂 this video helped so much!
You're most welcome!
Greetings from California 🤗

I love the videos, Dr. Uri and his cats :)
Thank you for the video. And love all animals!! Not just the cute ones

Thank you!
(I use hypodermic needles in my work, and it's extremely difficult to buy needles that aren't blunted in England.)
Any thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks,
Rick
Good information Dr! Thank you!
i have been waiting for this, my cat RARELY drink water, but I do give her extra water in her wet food. she eats 80gr of WF split by 2 meals, with added 20ml of water added.
she also eat another 20-30 grams of dry food on top of the canned one, and I add extra water by mixing sheba treats with water or raw goat milk
Subcutaneous fluids daily for our cat was a life safer in addition with a KD diet.
Thanks.
Don't forget to water your cat!
Did you post the new video on an updated technique for subQ fluids? I could only find the one from several years ago.
I was watching this video 4 months in 'the future' and can't find the video. I'm very curious though. Hopefully I'll spot it when it comes out.
my cat is very young and healthy, I am not entirely sure what I'm doing here, but I like his cats
Time passes quickly, best to be forewarned.
Did that video on SC fluid technique ever come out? I can't find it.. 😕
Cats are like us, they need to stay hydrated!
Thanx always love your vidio,s
How is Mr. Pirate doing?
Squish that cat
Did you make the video about a new subcutaneous fluid technique designed by your client? I didn't see it listed.
Yes I’ve been looking for it too. If anyone finds it please let me know.
How much cc hello
Nice
Couldn't you just give the dogs some kind of ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution) in their water to replace fluids?
Question: Is it okay to give my cat fluid karate motion kicking power in a cat dojo setting?
I would probably advocate caution when it comes to teaching your cat karate. Cats are much more naturally adept at ju-kit-su.
I can’t find a link/address for your new cat class. Could you please point me into right direction? Thank you very much.
My cat really enjoys light spankings around his body. Like he is asking for it. What's up with that?

In humans, the army uses urine colour as a key indicator of how dehydrated someone has become. I the case of cats, our use of cat litter makes this difficult, because the litter almost instantly absorbs the cat's urine. However, Dr. Uri, I've just seen a product called the Katkor Non-Absorbent Litter Urine Collection/Sampling Kit, which contains non-absorbant litter beads. I'm wondering if there are other non-absorbent litters that we might use, so that tipping the litter tray would allow us to visually inspect the colour of the cat's urine?
Thanks,
Rick
There are, but I would advise strongly against visually inspecting your cat's urine on a regular basis. Its unhealthy. Psychologically. Of course we should keep an eye out for things like blood or frequent, non-productive trips to the litter box, but Urine color renders no useful information to the average cat owner.
@@HelpfulVancouverVet thanks, Dr. Uri. Those granules are expensive too. (BTW, don't forget you were looking into setting up a PayPal account, so we can contribute $s to your good projects 😉.)
