there is a lot of comments about how skillfull and great the safe was. it sure was exciting to watch BUT if you ever in this kind of situation, aim for a tree, and take the damage to the glider. he touched (significantly) the tree not only with the harness but also later with one side of the wing. this is both (in case of collapse) life threatening in the this altitude. he was more than lucky
That hit with a side of the wing was really bad.. but what do you mean aim for a tree and take damage to the glider? You mean to really aim to the tree and than to climb down? That is frankly what I would probably do - the slowest possible approach and landing on a tree..
@@TushhsuT yes. it is what you learn in flying school. in this kind of situation dont risk it.... fly controlled into a tree. there is almost zero risk. it just costs you money to repair the wing.
With HGs you have to really aim, PGs with so many lines usually get tangled up pretty well to break the fall. Glider usually survives too but it’s always prudent to send the wing for inspection.
The whole time i was looking for what tree you were going to crash into....then you did but were still going. Ahhhhhh i was gasping and rooting for you. What a rush this must have been
Wow! Talk about threading the needle... I was holding my breath for quite a bit of the traverse down the cannon. Was so glad when I first saw the dirt road through the trees. So with that you would at least have an easy walk out if you manage a good landing. And considering the terrain, that was indeed a a pretty good landing.
Thanks for sharing this! One of the best if not THE best "Glider Seeking Terra Firma in the Forest" video! All is good until I saw the houses, more scary than landing in a tree, the "broccoli" crown, not the pine! Excellent landing and congratulations!
That was breathtaking, great safe! I have just completed phase 1 of my beginners course in the Austrian Alps and this was (and still is after watching this video) one of my greatest fears; not able to find a proper landing spot. I really love nature and am very environmental minded, but this almost justifies deforestation... ;-)
OMFG! I did saw this video few weeks ago in Whatsapp and today I ve seen it again and the stress Level was at top, only Pilots could really know how you fell in that moment, to be honest I wouldn't gone that far I saw a couple of spots wich I could land in that situation, but you manage it superb, congrats for that save in a now historical flying video, lol!
Maybe he knew the place already, so he knew there was landing spot down there, otherwise he would have gone for a small clearing in the road. I would have gone big ears above the clearing.
Meu deus.. Que agonia ver esse piloto fazer isso, tem que ter muita prática e conhecer muito a meteorologia e o comportamento da atmosfera. Fora do meu nível. Parabéns e cuidado moço.. Abraços, BR. 🇧🇷
@alexkolesov1126 i touched the top of a tree once and it twisted me and brought me to the ground , i was luck i didnt get hurt at the time. . And you touched your harness and then the tip of your wing 😲
Normally they show a map of where they fly in this kind of videos.... more interesting would be a screen with the blood pressure and heartrate in this case........ man you´ve been lucky this time.... great.... :-)
😬. That was terrifying to watch, when your wing clipped the top of the tree I thought you where done for, but you seemed to get lucky a few times. However, next time don’t let yourself get so low without any outs, that’s definitely not a safe way to fly. That wasn’t surfing tree tops, that was freaking scuba diving in a Forrest 🤣
Yes, in the lee and with the tailwind from the left. The valley bottom was another 200 m ahead but I wouldn’t make it for sure, so took whatever was available.
Great ride … so lucky ! Watch your brakes in the video … I think you were scared and so you pulled them most of the time 20-30 cm! I think this is what most of the pilots would do! Hands fully up could bring you farther…
"hmmmm...wonder what my {whap} altitude..is {whap whap]...let's look at the {whap} vario {whap} ..." Only good decision here was to take that slope at the end.
This was more thrilling to watch than any Hollywood movie ever made
Gliding through a valley full of predatory beech trees and snapping spruces. What a thriller!
In this situation my sweat would have produced enough heat, to make the glider climb! Fighting till the end! Well done!
HAHA
it's soo good you got this recorded! Otherwise no one would believe you, or they'll say you're just making it up :)
I'm glad you made it!
😂👍❤️
It was an experience of a lifetime, trust me )))
@@alexkolesov1126 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Amazing. One of the most gripping paragliding landing videos ever!
I still can't believe this worked out.

that’s what i would’ve done. no way i have the skill to do as he did at this point.
this had nothing to do with skill. that was just luck and daring. thank got he was lucky but please. you did not get at all what i was saying

Nice job of keeping it together. We all make bad decisions from time to time. Pucker factor 11. Highly entertaining and educational.

Krikey. That was amazing. Well done!
Damn man you scared the sheet out of me. I'm so glad you made it. Those trees looked so tall and scary.
Damn! Kicking treetops and clipping wingtips! Well done!
Scratching the balls. 😁Nice execution, chapeau!!👏
hard to believe ... what a video, thanks for sharing
Ну ты красавчик! Просто триллер какой-то 😃💪

I think that you handled the situation very well. Well done.
THat was fun to watch. NGU! Never give up.

haha the sounds of your harness brushing the trees make this video.... good flying... glad you made it out unscathed
Only my pride… got scathed… just a little bit 😁
Amazing video! Keep calm so well and very nice reactions every time. Good but next time...you know...be carefull
@Fly with Sergio Yes, I know… this wasn’t on purpose. Thank you for your kind words 👍
Serious survival skills! Well done!
OMG hearing your Vario helps with the drama
Well done mate 👏
Very nice!
I’m sure you had to check your britches after that one mate. Glad you are ok. Holy cow. I thought you were in the trees. Nice work
Jesus! Well done, you cold blooded guy!
My heart is RACING. I am glad you managed to land safely.
I'm like... How come 😳😳😳
Awesome skill bro, thank you for sharing this video.
what a nail biter! amazing glide, and patience!
wow must have been scary man, i know the feeling of getting stranded. good thing you got out of it safe !
Hells bells, I have no idea how you did that, but well done getting out of a very sticky situation!
Did you enter a proximiity flying contest? 😅 Superb vid!
Oh my goodness, this is incredible. nice save
Unfassbar...einfach unfassbar das du da nochmal rausgekommen bist! Knapper gehts nicht!

With no 'out' field, that was well ballsy! Cool
well done, the best of all outcomes
This Glider is a Mother! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Oh wow, that was awesome so close
When I saw that clearing, I said to myself, you better put it down THERE !
Very well handled. I wouldn’t have gone down that gully in the first place, but there you go 😅
I would never done it too if I was just free-flying… somehow, flying a comp after 13 year break leads you to making strange decisions 😂
Good work 👍😂. Stay safe, and maybe have a look at some of the comments on the Hang Glider pages that have shared this video 😅😂😂😂

Nossa , muito show mesmo , voo ralado em 👍
Let go of them risers...... Fly that thing!
Never have I squeezed my underpants with my butt while watching a PG video, until this day... 😅 It felt as if we made it through this together 😂
My god, you had a lot of kilo's of good luck there! How did you get in this situation in the first place?
My man.... I'm sure you will not get trapped like this next time... However glad that everything ended up fine
The end is great.

Wow, what a safe.. congratulations... you should have moved away from the tree tops from the start, directly to the centre-line..
Keep it safe

@@alexkolesov1126 ... and is very good you did. In that valley below you would have met two rows of high voltage wires, a railroad and a busy highway.
