The love & support from other countries', especially artists of all stripes from US, moving to, traveling in, bringing $$, warmth & appreciation for culture, & day-to-day back into focus for Mexicans themselves. Similarly, as Vietnam/SE Asia unwound the wars of 1960-70s, an aide group in Cambodia/Laos gave Hand Cream to survivors in shelters & slowly, the people began to heal and reconnect as they touched their own hands, then slowly touched each others hands, massaging hand cream & touch returned them to their sentient selves & surroundings. I live 60 miles north of Grants Pass, and the mayor is playing a filthy game with the pastor of a chruch run shelter, which is never full. The shelter is running a scam under the guise of giving shelter and is actually running a con game of 30 days indentured servitude where the people trying to get their lives back together cannot do so because the rules for staying there is that they must work for the church full time and must not seek employment outside. They must be in good enough physical health to work or they are not accepted. They must also attend the pastor's services or the services of an approved pastor. They wont accept anyone who is atheist. Non-attendance of these services or breaking the work related rules are grounds for immediate expulsion. The church receives government funding for this, which is why the mayor and police department harass the homeless there in ordermto try to force them to go into the shelter. This is the garbage SCOTUS approved of when they upheld the ruling that homelessness is illegal.

I had no plans to vote this year but after hearing about Project 25 I knew I had to. I'm in Kentucky which is a Republican state but people crossed the lines to reelect Gov Andy because Kentucky has had the highest surplus ever since the pandemic. If only we could get our Legislators to release information about where our money is going or if they have blown through it all so we become dependent on the government again which the Republicans would prefer. In Ky we have 2 bills being pushed angering many. One is to make homelessness illegal and the other saying it's okay to shoot the homeless. Two very scary laws claiming it will make the state safer and insinuating only criminals are homeless.
... and encourage others to vote - often people won't because they feel "what will it matter" despondent - remind them that every vote counts and elections have been won/lost on less than 100 votes in a district ... turnout to vote in 2020 was only 61% ... try and set a goal of "doubling" your vote by getting one other person registered and primed ... xx

The love & support from other countries', especially artists of all stripes from US, moving to, traveling in, bringing $$, warmth & appreciation for culture, & day-to-day back into focus for Mexicans themselves. Similarly, as Vietnam/SE Asia unwound the wars of 1960-70s, an aide group in Cambodia/Laos gave Hand Cream to survivors in shelters & slowly, the people began to heal and reconnect as they touched their own hands, then slowly touched each others hands, massaging hand cream & touch returned them to their sentient selves & surroundings. It wouldn't surprise me if 'foreign observers' of our Elections, & allies in general, become a source of ballast & sanity.

I live 60 miles north of Grants Pass, and the mayor is playing a filthy game with the pastor of a chruch run shelter, which is never full. The shelter is running a scam under the guise of giving shelter and is actually running a con game of 30 days indentured servitude where the people trying to get their lives back together cannot do so because the rules for staying there is that they must work for the church full time and must not seek employment outside. They must be in good enough physical health to work or they are not accepted. They must also attend the pastor's services or the services of an approved pastor. They wont accept anyone who is atheist. Non-attendance of these services or breaking the work related rules are grounds for immediate expulsion. The church receives government funding for this, which is why the mayor and police department harass the homeless there in ordermto try to force them to go into the shelter. This is the garbage SCOTUS approved of when they upheld the ruling that homelessness is illegal.

I had no plans to vote this year but after hearing about Project 25 I knew I had to. I'm in Kentucky which is a Republican state but people crossed the lines to reelect Gov Andy because Kentucky has had the highest surplus ever since the pandemic. If only we could get our Legislators to release information about where our money is going or if they have blown through it all so we become dependent on the government again which the Republicans would prefer.
In Ky we have 2 bills being pushed angering many. One is to make homelessness illegal and the other saying it's okay to shoot the homeless. Two very scary laws claiming it will make the state safer and insinuating only criminals are homeless.

We had 2 elections elections on the same change and the second election was during flu season.The first one was a landside so everyone thought it would go the same again. This is why I think churches should be banned from mentioning politics if they want o keep their tax free status. Their surmons on how it was "God''s Will" influenced votes.
