American here. When you strike for cause, you will be supported. When you strike as a political stunt, no sympathy.
I feel Trump is behind this. The raise they are asking for is outrageous. No automation is crazy to expect.

This is a political strike - the union head and Trump as buddies, with Daggett meeting privately with Trump shortly before the strike was called ... they were offered 50% rise plus better benefits

Apparently, the head of the union hung out with TFG several times at Mar-a-lardo. He is also on video stating he would crush the economy, like it was a good thing. TFG warned of the "October Surprise", and it appears this is not only it, but has been planned for months.

The avg wage is only 60k a yr which is not bad but not exactly comfortable especially with the insane rent/mortgage rates we have. So a bump in pay while the companies make billions isn't unfair imo

I heard something about foreign money coming in to ports and building new ports and then making trouble but I can't recall the whole story.
You might be thinking of China's "belt and road" policy - building ports in poor countries and then demanding ownership when the country can't pay the "loan"

I heard a story years ago, the idea was to close all west coast ports in the United States. They wanted to use those in mexico... I believe walmart was behind the idea.. they wanted a large highway between the united states and canada..the united states would just be a rest stop for them...

That was the only thing that was good to me. MSNBC says Walz won hands down, i think it was stupid. Walz lied. Nobody yelled. Walz missed an opportunity to bring up the Haitians but it wss fine. I think they could use a raise but this is a bit too high which seems like it is just done to make unions look bad, this weakening them.
