- I had a fun conversation with actress Catherine Mary Stewart. I talk with Catherine about her start in the entertainment industry, landing her first role in the musical science fiction cult film, The Apple, moving to L.A. to obtain the role as Kayla Brady on the soap opera Days of Our Lives, her roles in Night of the Comet, Weekend at Bernie’s and The Last Starfighter as well as an update on a sequel to The Last Starfighter.

I Remember her from The last Starfighter. That movie was almost 40 years ago and she still looks good. 80s was the best decade.
I am so happy I found this interview! I loved Night of the Comet growing up and she just popped in my head. I’m happy to see she’s doing so great! Charming, intelligent and still a major babe.
Night of the Comet was a favorite of mine as well and it’s still a fun watch!
I have followed her career from the start. She had a great successful career, I always thought it would just explode into super stardom one day but for some reason just didn't. Now when I hear this interview and how her manager told her she would have to sleep around to get parts it does make you wonder if that was sadly a reason that kept her out of something big she may have got. Good for her by the way. Also, she is 63 years old in this interview. Unbelievable, she could easily pass for 30 here. Thanks for the interview and thank you Catherine for your amazing talent.
Just watched Night of the Comet for the first time and recognized her from The Last Starfighter, a film that I've been watching since my '80s childhood (I'm sure I'm not the only one!). In those two films she looks so much like my late girlfriend, so I've developed a bit of a soft spot for Catherine. Was curious to find out what she's doing these days. She still looks incredible! Wow. I do prefer the way she looks as a brunette, but she's still so beautiful and full of life. God bless her. A great interview!
We were so fortunate to have Catherine and her co star Lance both on same episode of our podcast and talked Starfighter with them. The sequel of course came up and that was a fun conversation and we brought up to them that a Netflix type series would be great. Call it Starfighter or call it Rylos. It could do well I think.
Can't wait for the Last Starfighter Sequel. Perhaps it will come to life soon.
