Guys, Invest in a GOOD STEREO, You'll not regret it. The guitars, the vocals, the hidden electronics...production is out of the world.
I scrolled through all these uploads to find this song and say that this track got me through a rough time in my life. This one holds a special place in my heart

It was. Right up until Hollywood started insisting on promoting people screaming into a microphone and calling that "singing". And then paying radio stations to play that garbage and call it "heavy metal".
I know that many people relate to this song as in "I was betrayed by someone that acted like a monster", but I always visualized it as if the singer is someone being hunted down by a succubus style demon or cryptid that lures victims with an angelic guise only to reveal itself as a monster and devour them. This song is basically what goes on through the victim's head as the creature stalks them with the end being the moment right before they are consumed by it.
You just described it using a fantasy theme. Only difference is he is being hunted and knows it. In reality these creatures lure you in and like with most traps when you figure it out it is too late. You either never get out or stick with the wounds it left you sometimes never fully healing.That angelic guise description is so on point.

I agree. I only discovered them while working on a personal side project and have only listened to the classics. I don’t like the more metal songs. These classics are helping me through a rough situation I’m going through with my girlfriend’s parents/ my parents about us being together.
