Unforgiving is an understatement, I think my game bugged and besides the beginner tutorial scripted enemies, my first rng fight in the first area I took spawned a damn EXAMPLER AS MY FIRST FIGHT!!! With no trinkets or skill upgrades, I of course got destroyed. it was soul crushing, but funny ngl.
The attack the eye does cannot miss if you have tokens and he rarely will use anything else except nuking the units with tokens, also the attack to put tokens also cannot miss to the point it wont even proc the stack of blindness to get rid of it, using blind on this boss is a waste of turn. The eye is basically get tokens in tank units Dps race the boss before tanks die
DS being 3 seconds now instead of 5 is an absolute joke. Wtf is the point of it if they can just instantly down you afterwards. The survivors don’t even have time to react. They gutted every survivor perk and killer remains untouched
Fun fact: when a relationship restricts your skill use an item. Any item will do too as long as you get to use it. Afterwards you can use the skill that the relationship restricted and youre safe from further disruptions from your team :)
Here I was thinking that this one was easier than the one before because of the relationships, but now this video really shows the backlash of the relationships. Love the fact that at some point, MAA going crazy literally did nothing to his relationships. Everybody was already use to it 😂😂

Watching this on stream was honestly the best, most thrilling run I've ever seen, watching everyone in chat freak out when someone reached death's door, only for them to survive, or someone to get an insane crit was the best. The game was so intense I swear we were all taking stress damage the whole run. I highly recomend watching the vod on Otz's Twitch channel. It almost felt like we were a sports team cheering Otz and our heroes on! Thanks for making this into a video, Otz, everyone needs to see the insanity of this run
Otz playing games that just beat you down is just my absolute favourite thing! Dark souls and Darkest Dungeon were both introduced to me by Otz and whenever I see him play these games im always super excited
Bumper Crop is definitely more conditional than most trophies. I think it'd be just fine for the MAA you were running, considering healing is %-based and he'll be eating most of the hits.
I want more of this, specifically this, the poggers moments, the struggle, and barely making it through but still succeeding in the end, great video, very poggers
I have to admit, When this game came out, I was one of the doubters (mainly because it came out on epic store). But now that i've seen that it still has the same thrill and unforgiving nature that the first one had, I cannot wait to play it.

This... This is why Darkest Dungeon will always be one of my favorite hardcore rogues. The threat of losing everything makes victory taste all the more sweeter. Risking everything for success and the encounters is what made this stream so entertaining and what makes this game still worth coming back to after so long. Long Live DD! May you travelers have ever more the hilarious chances and unique playthroughs.
It's funny because even with save scumming, Darkest Dungeon will still bust your balls and snap your neck with no mercy. You don't NEED to save scum, but it doesn't feel like an unfair advantage at all when the game doesn't pull its punches. These games are HARD, and there is no shame in rerolling the RNG in my mind when it's the difference between a full wipe and a successful run.
So, I'mma watch the rest of this video tomorrow when I get back on youtube but I just wanted to give you props for teaching me that L and J move the video forwards and back. I've been using youtube for awhile and always found it frustrating when i mean to skip ahead and it increases the volume randomly when I use the arrow keys sometimes.
they've renamed Deathless to Defiant and i currently have a run with 2 defiant characters!!! a flagellant and a crusader. ny build is based off +max health and +healing from skills Update: Beat resentment (first time fighting him too!), my trophy was bumper crop from the foetor lair boss, 50% max health and -50% DB resist on all heroes so all my healing skills would heal even more health
I remember joining this stream a little bit before the Leviathan battle. I usually don't get to watch for very long due to timezones, but this one went for so much longer than they usually do. So glad I was able to catch this much
A team of four attend a major league tournament. A critical round reveals to the crowd of onlookers that their team works perfectly but this round completely destroys the group dynamic. A key player loses all hope and dissolves into complaining which further erodes team morale. It's clear that after this they'll never speak with one another again. By the final round, the team barely cooperates and finds itself up against a strategy they've never seen before. Somehow - they forgo their differences, come together, and claim victory, winning the tournament. And half the team dies by being watched too hard. (Holy crap this was a watch and a half, amazing amazing work on this insane run)
this was the stream that sold me on actually getting DD2 when it comes to Steam, all the early issues it suffered from had me doubting, but watching Otz struggle like first game made me think I'll definitely enjoy the game!

I found a comb, that's the best in my eyes. DoT's and massive single target dmg. All you need is Junia, Paracelsus, Alhazred and Barristan. Never went so easy and fast through the story and because of buffs, heals and protection all had a nice realationship. I got 6 positive effects on the last trip ^^
I just fought the eye last night I won without any heals with master at arms. Such a coincidence I just saw this on my feed. My MAA had 108 health, vanguard + the trinket cultist item that gives 100% extra health, and a beef stew. Although I could probably go higher with the food pet I did not get it that run. He was a total beast and tanked every hit and got resolute so it was game after that.
I hope the Devs fix the misleading DOT status effects at launch - they'll say "50 damage for 5 turns" when they actually mean "50 damage for 1 turn, then 5 damage for 4 turns".
"press L [x amount of] times" should be mandatory for every content creator (especially the sponsored ones) cause saving 50 seconds of my time always feels so rewarding lmao
Lol imagine someone makes a Multiplayer Darkest Dungeon, where you only control 1 hero, and need to band with 3 other players in order to complete the runs. During these runs you're allowed to cast doubt onto other characters (for instance if you see them do something you didn't approve of or that seems suspicious), and accumulating enough can give you the ability to prevent their ill-intended actions. The game should also have some mechanics that could reward betrayal (surviving with less ppl = more loot for the rest, maybe introduce secret agendas your characters can have that only you know about and need to fulfill), or even the ability to secretly become a traitor, the evil's vessel - who wins not by clearing the dungeon, but rather having the party (along with yourself) wiped out, so you never know if the matchmaking has actually added such a player)

I just realized, the baddest characters in this game aren't even the characters themselves. It's the HORSES pulling the carriage. They waltzing in on ALL OF THOSE MONSTROSITIES and gives zero fucks lmao, especially on the approach to that final boss. "Oh it's a buncha weird googly eyes? Pfft, what a buncha losers"
i love when i see people just laugh and get tilted at the same time when the negative charater relations kick in. this game is made to let you suffer and go insane and i love it. you can play perfectly with every good item and every crit and still lose because that one time you needed to drop some insanity. the game tells you NO not today XDD love the video otzdarva hope to see more of this Banger of a game
I REALLY wish they would allow hero Remembrance to carry over when you abort a run from the inn. Because nobody technically dies. And making it all the way to the end to save a heros perks is very annoying.
Maybe this game is a little unforgiving at times, but when we prevail the unlikeliness the surge of hope is euphoric
