What a powerful principle is taught in this lesson and the concept that there are times when we are tempted to "love as we should not love" (Russell M Nelson) is a clear message for today. There are many today that say "love is Love" but that isn't true and there is great danger in following such ideas for they come from him who would destroy us. Follow the Prophet, repent of transgressions, pray and continue to hold to the Iron Rod of the Word of God.
@@gabrielwakesho1446 John 8:10-11 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. What do you think Christ meant when he told the woman to sin no more?
The adversary uses our feelings and emotions to feed off of- to “feel” through our own bodies and tempt us to misuse them- since they are not able to feel like we can feel.
There were quite a few phrases in this talk that he used in a talk many years before to talk about video game addiction at BYU titled "Things as They Really Are", which I thought was pretty interesting!
I find it funny when leaders use the term ZIon as if Zion had been established already. Anyone with basic knowledge of the scriptures and the prophecies would know that Zion is not even close to being established on the earth, let alone the LDS church being Zion. Prophecies in the Book Of Mormon not only suggests but confirm that ZIon will only be established after the times of the gentiles and that it will be established by the hands of the remnant of Jacob not by the Gentiles. Repentant Gentiles will be allowed to assist the remnant of Jacob in completing this marvelous work. We throw this Zion term here and there as if we had Zion already and that is completely wrong.
I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I'm so thankful for who I am because of the thing's the gospel has taught me!
