Tower Ridge, Ben Nevis Sky Run

- Tower Ridge on Ben Nevis is one of my favourite Scottish ridge runs. A few years ago I followed my friend and all round mountain goat Michael Tweedley up the ridge and filmed him with my drone.

I would say it's a climb for a runner and a run for a climber.

Yes I did the ridge in feburary and can confirm that it contains löst of easy climbing and serious scrambling

I might make a wee video episode on it once it comes int good winter condition during the season. There are a ton of articles on it online though.

Fantastic stuff. What drone are you using?
This was shot with an Inspire 1 but these days I use the Inspire 1 Pro or my Mavic 2 Pro.
Is it only me or do you guys also have problems with massive artifacts and stuttering framerates even on FullHD?
Not now, but this is footage from a few years ago on my old drone.
This is a beautiful video. The amount of work you must have put into filming is really evident.
That said, I know that in a lot of places like this in the states (wilderness areas, national parks) drone use is banned. You and your friend were clearly not alone on the route. As I'm sure you know, drones can be quite disturbing to anyone within the general vicinity of them. I hope the pros and cons were carefully considered by you and the other involved parties, especially since I doubt any of you intended to promote drone use in wilderness, which I think this video undoubtedly does.
Don't worry about it the Scottish train golden eagles to catch these illegal drone users... Why do you think he was running? The whole film was a training exercise, we were watching from the view of the eagle.
So in short all those mountaineers with expensive climbing equipment, ropes, helmets and other gear could have saved time
and money if they'd taken up jogging.
Not in winter this is a pretty serious route in snow and ice. Got the T shirt.,
