Roseanne believes Valerie, as a member of the Obama administration, had a role in the expansion of the Muslim brotherhood in places like Iran. The tweet had NOTHING to do with what the movie is called, and everything to do with what the movie is about. Planet of the Apes, the movie, is about overthrowing political despots (where the Apes rule and humans are their servants and either fight back or escape). And that is what some people of Iran are trying to do to their own government. People need to get past the word “Ape”. That had nothing to do with what Roseanne was trying to say. If the movie was called “waka maka waka” then that’s what she would have said, because what the movie is called was irrelevant to what she was trying to say. Again, Roseanne was comparing what she believes to be Valerie’s actions with the PLOT of the movie, not the name or characters in it.
This is all Valerie Jaretts fault she should have called ABC and advocated to keep Rosanne on her show, it goes to show by her actions, that Valerie is a very corrupt politician.
Decipher Code Jarrett should have advised ABC to practice "restorative justice." Following Roseanne's apology for any misinterpretation of her tweet, Jarret and she could have had a "heart to heart", and at least make some of it all better. Her firing was thoroughly unjustified.

Really shouldn't have removed Roseanne. That is my biggest complaint. I don't even care if they have a gay character or not. But it's like removing Charlie Sheen from the other show. You lose the centerpiece, the main draw. You also lose a balancing element that allows an interplay between characters with highly differing traits and views. It was a massive hit for that reason. 'The Conners' doesn't work half as well once that character dynamic is gone. You'd think this fact would have become obvious after all these years.
Nothing against the actors but boy was that boring. Roseanne was the sparkle, the others were the muted tones that made her shine even more brightly. Big mistake, removing the life and the fun and leaving only the bland.
Agreed Barr was center of this show. But I do appreciate the network trying to support the many people on the screen and behind the scenes who were affected by her statement. Barr has made insidious remarks racial and questionable statements in the past that didn't cost jobs. I also appreciate the real life issues factor that this show continues to showcase hope they make it.
