Thanks for your comment. I’ll certainly post soon my long term review. I can anticipate that I like the bike quite a lot, specially because of its reliability . Best regards!
Cool Video! I also have the same bike. What is going on with the antenna? You said it is for Kitestrings? I would love to know what that is about. Confused greetings from Germany😊
In poorer suburban areas, particularly in large cities of Brazil, children usually fly kites with strings or lines that have glass on it in order to cut other kites in a sort of game. It's a kind of 'kite fight'. What happens is that sometimes they fly close to the motorways as they opened areas. However, by doing that they put riders at risk, mainly because the string can get trapped onto the rider's neck when going along the motorway. That's why it' s advisable to have that antenna on you bike, so that when you are passing through some outskirts of the cities you don't put yourself at risk. It' s not uncommon to have accidents to hear about accidents with strings. they cut very deeply the skin because of the sharpness and speed. Very advisable to use the antenna, particularly in São Paulo and Rio. It' s considered a crime to fly kites with glass strings but unfortunately some kids don't abide by the law. Hope managed to explain. best regards
Thanks for the interesting video. I have the same AfricaTwin like you also with a Garmin GPS. Are you still happy with the Garmin mountet on top? Is the Givi GPS holder stable or is it vibrating on the street?
thanks for your comment. As for your question , I' ve had the support for over a year (over 20000km) and so far it has stood up to the expectations. It is firm enough to withstand vibration on bumpy off road terrains with no problems. On the motorway it is absolutely fine too. It's only advised to change your windscreen to a taller one. best regards!
Hello there. I’m 1,78m. Bar risers are a bit complex and require some measuring. In my case, I installed the bar risers to bring the handlebar closer to me, thus allowing me stay seated more correctly (back straight). You can also turn tbe handlebar a bit to set this position The best thing to do is to use a piece of wood ,or something which can rise your handlebar. Doing that you can measure the distance from your shoulder to the handlebar jn various riding positions. Also the riser changes the angle of your arm, and this can help taller people It is important to mention that is noy a rule that a riser is a must for taller people. Hope it helps!
thanks for the video mate, how many kilometers ridden with Mitas E07?
Thanks for your comment! I’ve ridden 13.000 km so far but sure it would still last another for 2000/3000km.
Have you done a long term review of your Africa twin? I'm interested in hearing about the pros and cons.
