I hate how fast you level. I got 2 levels in ONE hour. That’s crazy and doesn’t feel rewarding.

Phase 1 I played casually: leveling calmly and casually raiding. Then I played phase 2 very seriously: first dungeon speedleveling and then raiding in a top guild with 98+ parses but it felt like a job and a drag. Adding all this new retail-like nonsense on top, I think I'm skipping phase 3. Phase 2 leveling wasn't fun either, spamming SM. And now we're spamming this stupid quasi exploit. Only phase 1 was fun!
Maybe you can practice self control instead of spamming the fastest but most boring way to level. Go quest lmao
Fastest way to level is to spam the Ashenvale quests. Focus on the intelligence report (quests 4-6 I believe) and escort (quests 16-18) with the boss kill quests as optional if you get tags. You can lap these in about 10 minutes. If you only do the intelligence and escort quests you'll get roughly 7000exp x 6 quests/run x 6 runs/hour for about 250,000 exp/hour. Additionally, the escort and boss kill quests are global, so you just need to tag the boss and move on with your lap, similarly, if you afk at the bottom of the ramp on the emerald side you'll get credit for escorts.
Do you need to be in a group to be efficient? How much worse is the xp solo?
Most optimal is running 4-9. May as well take 13 and 14 as well and just tag them as you see them. Our 4 man group was peaking at 350kxp/hr

This event is the worst thing to happen to the game.
First of all, the event is not fun! Very boring and chaotic.
Yesterday, me and my friend were questing in Badlands. We did the whole zone, so we spent there 3-4 hours in total. We are in a pvp server, but we had 0 pvp for 3-4 hours, cuz we didnt meet anyone!
Ironforge was also very empty.
Than we’ve checked this event. The xp reward is brutal. You get 2-3 times more, than a normal or elite quest can give you and to complete a quest is most of time just seconds…
You get 7700 xp and 44 silver for each quest. This ruins everything in the game.
Economy as well, cuz this (even with the nerfed, 44 silver reward) is better gold/hour than anything we knew before.
So to summerize it: we got and event, that isnt fun, but it has so massive rewards, that you should spent the whole phase there. Best leveling, best gold making.
Phase 1 was awesome!
Phase 2 was okay…
But this… Im really thinking about quitting the game.

Exactly, same here. Phase 1 was fun. 2 was meh (dungeon leveling was boring and Gnomer on repeat felt like a chore). Now this is just...miss me with this nonsense. I just want fresh Classic servers again.
I didn't expect to find a good video explaining this with the pit that is UA-cam, bit this was on point. Just enough of the info to get into it the first time without having to ask everyone questions!
quetss that were giving 3-5g per turn in....now down to just silver. Its a massive difference.
You're forgetting the Discoverer's Delight bonus. They give 1g 26s. Check your chat box when you're turning in quests, not the quest page itself.
@@Centrifuze From 3-5g to 1g26s is a massive cut, More than 60% cut. Thanks Blizzard, its time to leave SoD. Rushers will be happy but im really disappointed to the point that i dont want to play SoD anymore. The only difference between SoD and retail is the flying mounts. This is not classic anymore, and the content feel rushed and uninspired.

Instead of spending five hours sweating it out, why not just have a quick and easy 1-60 instant button? I mean, you don't seem to care much about enjoying the game world, the quests, or the interactions - you just want to jump into the raid as soon as possible. Maybe you should ask for a raid simulator instead of an MMO RPG if that's all you're interested in. The event feels too crowded, laggy, sweaty, and just overall clunky. Can't we just say it's a poorly designed game with bad gameplay? Because, let's face it, it's just not up to par with WoW or any game whatsoever in the year of 2024

meanwhile i leveled my profs and started gathering. made 100s of gold and will level through gnomer and questing. dunno why everyone feels a rush to get to 50 when 40 to 50bis litterally the easiest to do. doing everything else is much more interesting.
Not playing the night of launch day yet again throws you so far behind it pretty much killed my motivation entirely... So much gold for the few people who are most likely rich af already and can just adjust prices even further
You still get great gold after the nerf, about 75-100 per hour
@alexsaldana8338 you would have to like 56 quests an hour to make 75g

Ya sarthe is over exaggerating the gold per hour wildly. I had a 4 man group wrecking quests and we prob did 10-12 at a time for 50-60g. That takes like 40 min. 300g an hour is literally impossible and 700 they’re completely trolling at that point. People attempt weird flexes in video games by lying about their performance
Yep. I was gonna try SOD, I prepared, I leveled I farmed. Today that I am ready to play everybody is filthy rich and level 50. F this. I am further behind than when I started. Alliance players level 50 are already ganking all around azeroth. Might as well gtfo before I waste even more time.
Why doesn't Blizz make questing out in the world the most efficient xp-wise and more fun? Phase 2 was dungeon spamming and now it's this nonsense. I'm skipping phase 3 or done for good with SoD.
Blizzard may put it in but the players are the ones who exploit it.

phase 3 might of just killed SOD. phase 1 was the best feeling a mix between classic/retail but this update just feels like retail and doesn't have that classic feeling anymore.

I have yet to do 1 incursion. About to have my 2nd 50 and I started a week after phase 3 released. NM Incursions are one of the worst things to ever be added to WoW.
I just did incursions for the rune. And that gave me 4 levels.. leveling out in the world is lonely haha. Worst designed event ever. Running laps gathering Scrolls n stuff. No fighting enemies, no fighting alliance. Just mutual agreement to leave each other alone and brainlessly Zerg in circles.
I think it’s shortsighted to not do the skinning quest. You don’t even need to have killed the mob. As I’m running through the dragon area anyway to do other quests, I’ll skin a few things and it’s done (then bam 7k xp)
Really not into this phase so far incursions sucks literally so boring then there is a bunch of extra quests to do not to mention incursions are gonna turn into one massive camp fest horde were already camping the turn in last night lvl 50 shadow priest and i couldnt even turn in. Raid doesnt have any type of classic feel at all. Not gonna play my rogue they are doing super low dps and have no reason to be brought idk man

Accurate observation. Rested xp was so unnecessary with many free quest guide addons out there doing the job just fine and questie showing runes.
I mean, quite a few people probably just use the cracked version of Rested XP anyways.
I have played Phase 1 & 2 since launch and got my full Gnommer BIS. However, seeing how this (Pvp) and trying to do 1 pickup quest while there are 100 enemy factions staning on the q item... I think this is where I quit. Ril SOD you were fun 2023. - 2024.

Even if it's not fun to level this way, it will piss off a lot of people who didn't have time to play until then who missed out on BOTH the gold and xp. Myself included. I was full Gnomer BiS but I'm really not sure if I'll even level in phase 3.
This is just retail lite, SOD was a cool idea but overall sucks, and cata classic is coming which absolutely shits on any of the doodoo they’ve been putting out for this seasonal mode

@RichSmithson 100% true. People need to really ask themselves why they play the game. Most are unrealistic in trying to be number one. although I myself am also competitive the hardest part of the game is filling the roster every week.

i think most people were complaining about the amount of gold you got, which creates a big inflation, but it is nerfed now, and that just makes people who hasnt done it are on a big disanvantage
Are those potions from that vendor viable for the raid, especially the last boss? I noticed you can only get 5 of those OP health potions so maybe the poison prot ones are the same.
I think you can only use those potions while inside the Incursion. Definitely can only use the healing potions while inside the Incursion, but Im not too sure.

You will always have a group as a feral on alliance. Wild strikes is amazing and makes you super sought after even if you aren’t great at the game.

Some people are crazy there is nothing wrong with the speed of leveling in these the gold was scuffed but it’s not much faster then a good dungeon spam group. Just gives us options.

It was an exploit not will they do anything about the gold. The quest turn ins were giving great gold. People were just doing the same thing they are now. Completing the quests and turning them in. I’m sorry if you guys missed out. I made about 320g before the first nerf.
a ban is way too much, its developer's mistake, they maybe shoudlve just take like 80%, which is more or less equal to the amount you get after the nerf
