They were on their best voices this night. Back in the day it was so much pressure to make it at the Apollo that artists had to be on their best game. Love NKOTB and always will. They have amazing stage presence and are so talented live❤❤❤

Thank you. Just remembering the 1991 tour I was at in Vienna, Austria. Wow, I can not imagine how exciting must have been watching the show in Apollo 30 years ago and being there to celebrate it with them in 2018 ☆☆☆❤

A historic night!
This was the one night that they appeared on national TV for the first time and the night that changed everything and made them known and popular.
Murray star the producer allowed it to happen but it wasn't his idea for them to perform there that night. I forgot who, but it came from someone else that was involved with them. Their first two albums before this Hangin' Tough did go platinum three times before this, but they weren't that well-known then.
The funny thing is that the song Hangin' Tough from their Hangin' Tough album became a hit, and so did the entire album, but I was in love with all the other songs and didn't really like that song as much as others. Lol
I thought it was too hard core for them.

Listen closely with that Jon's deep voice that said "we're tough" It's distinct above the rest at that time stamp.
But he was the only one that put the mic right up to his mouth at that second.
