Easy to see why in 1982 so many people looked at the Sierra, then at the Cortina and back to the Sierra again and said ‘what the fu…?’ By the time the 1987 facelift came round, it started to look a bit more normal and even in 1992 in its last year of production it still looked relatively fresh compared to its rivals. Really was a groundbreaking design. The Sierra never really gets enough credit, except for the Cossie version. Tends to have a more lukewarm reputation amongst Ford fans, purely because it was the car which signalled the death knell for the Cortina.

The new Ford Sierra is man and machine in perfect harmony. They don’t make car adverts like that nowadays.
0:39 who changes gear like that?! xD
A wanker ?
I had the 2.3 Ghia, the same colour as that one, it was slow and used alot of fuel, no power steering either with a heavy V6.

Back when they put sun roofs in cars as standard
Back when you had a sunroof if you had the Ghia, CD or Vanden Plas as standard.
Standard in UK?
It was a great car, but misunderstood by the public and the motoring press.
