Airport works have been going on for a couple of years . The change to security procedure caused huge delays earlier this year , I tend to sit in the area you did to watch the planes and avoid the crowds . Lauda air are fantastic

Looks like arrivals at Terminal C is even worse than A for wearing out shoe leather, the airport is badly laid out. Got that to look forward to in March, but hopefully this time the electronic gates for U.K. passport holders aren’t closed again, necessitating joining an incredible long queue with only one guy stamping passports.

I always had difficulties with those body scanners (feet apart, arms raised...) but they certainly won't work in the future now that I have my artificial hip joint!
Did you come back with your Christmas pudding? There was a rumour (I suspect founded on fact) that Christmas puddings would set off the explosive detectors at Manchester airport.
