You are a true professional. Very impressive how much care you took. My windshield got cracked by a semi throwing up a rock and I have to get my windshield replaced. I haven't had the money, and the crack is right along my vision line all the way to the center of the windshield unfortunately. But now that I'm looking, I've been quoted quite a lot of money, and then there were other places that were half of that. After researching, I realized there is a lot that goes into replacing the windshield correctly. I wanted to see what went into it and watched your video. I guess on this one since it will be out of pocket since my insurance did not cover glass breakage and my deductible is too high , I am going to have to find a reputable place that has the right credentials, even if it costs me a lot more in the end. Your video was extremely informative, and as I said, you are a true professional. Take that to heart. Thank you again, Ms. Sweetpuppy
Thank you for the post. Having mine replaced this week on a SLK. The shop has a good reputation but still nervous. the shop told me it's a five hour job. The video helped calm my nerves
Very nice job..nice clean van as well ! Super nice job ! Thankfull to see there is still some quality work done in our field of changing auto glass.....
That's a great job Alfredo you are truly a professional and care about your work that is good to see I have been doing auto glass since 1991 and I'm old-school a good cold knife with a good sharp blade would have cut that windshield a lot quicker than those electric ones but that's just my opinion to each his own
Hi Alfredo.. Great job!! very professional. I looked at this many many times because I was hoping to get some tips on removing the cowel on a 2007 Mercedes c350 to access the wiper motor. Could you do a video on this subject?? I know many people would like to see it too. Or just share some tips on removing the cowel.. not windshield replacement. Thanks dm
Very good job - Very Well done ! - I have a 2010 W212 E63 AMG which looks very similar to the car in the video but my front windshield has started leaking at the top right hand corner, It doesn't leak under moderate rain but if I wash the car and then hose it down my windshield then leaks badly, the water runs down the INSIDE of the windshield ! and it also drips on my front driver's seat (I'm in UK so it's a right hand drive car), I've tried sealing it carefully with some black silicone sealant but my windshield still leaks !, My E63 has the Panoramic sunroof option with what looks like lots of gaps in places where water can get in ! - Maybe its the drains ?, I'm not sure if the leak could be due to a blocked sunroof drain ? or something else ??, as I did push hard against the front windshield glass (before I sealed it with the black silicone sealant) and it was really solid with no movement at all so I am stumped here how and why it's leaking, My front screen only leaks on one side (top right hand area between A pillar and center rain sensor) Any ideas what to do ?, as I really don't want to remove the front windshield if possible ! - Many thanks - Great video and workmanship ! 👍👍👍👍👍
Nice job,i have been doing glass in the Seattle area for 30yrs and it's good to see that there are others doing the job right. I use primerless urethane but if i remember correctly your not supposed to primer over cut urethane only bare metal and glass, is yours designed to do that? also for cleaning the frit you can use a scotch brite pad with glass cleaner to remove contaminates. i cut mine into 1 inch squares and they can be reused several times.
Thank you for your comment. How use all-in-one primer from down it's design for glass body and urethane. The best new method to decontaminate the bonding surface on the glass is Betabrade is proven that scotch brite pads don't remove all the contaminates. Thanks for taking the time to watch my video.
Hello i really like the way you work and I,ve learned a lot with you video and i think you for it i would like to know adout your Milwaukee knif that you use. like the model is there an adaptre for the blades ? and what kind of blades .... i thank you in advance !
Need the windshield replaced in a 2014 Mercedes B-250 and thought I would check to see how it's done. One of the things I am getting from a large Auto Glass replacement company is that after they replace the glass they need to take the car to the MB dealer to have the lane departure camera calibrated. Does this make sense to you? Wish you were in the Toronto area, I'd hand over the car to you. Very professional operation you are running.
Alfredo... Great video... I am in need of some help and your my only hope. I have a 2011 E350 Benz Convertible. I am trying to remove the cover of the rain sensor as well. Is that taken off the same way as you did in this video? Your help would be grateful...
what is the name of the tools you used in this video. I see they're milwaukee but I can't find these exact ones and blades. can you leave a link please
I had a 2011 e350 windshield replaced but the final result does not look like your quality job, just curious would water leaking from the bottom of the windshield get inside the car?
Nice professional install do you think it would be possible to set from the door with urethane on windshield? I run my need on the glass and the way you set looks intersting I am thinking about giving it a shot.
Setting the glass with the glue on it, could get complicated. It requires a perfect set. I would highly recommend you to apply the glue to the body first, to achieve a better footprint. Setting the glass from the top of the car has a few advantages like been able to set the glass from top to bottom and being able to see 3 corners when setting. Definitely try it!
good job Alfredo..., I'm alreday done some benz windshield models but till now I used cold knife or wire to remove the glass. let me now what is the name of white paste that you used to clean up inner glass surface (ceramic area) ?
Hi! What is the labor only charge for one of these type of job? I have a 2006 cls mercedes. There is a slight water leak when washing my car. I just need a reseal. My windshield is still good.
I have 2015 S550 and I have a lot of small chips on windshield. how much cost for OEM windshield and labor? I live in OC and I will calll you if price is reasonable. please let me know Jim
Alfredo how u doing I hopefully ok I recently git hired by safelite I not started yet I would like to know for your experience if be a technician is hard complicated etc or is easy once u learn
Where did you buy the attachment for the multitool? I haven't seen one around. Same for the spatula for the DeWalt. Please reply I'm about to attempt changing the windshield on my old E320 wagon.
I buy my tools from www.equalizer.com I would highly recommend you to use a certified installer to replace the windshield. I know it looks easy to replace but there is a lot of different safety issues starting with your windshield been part of the integrity of the structure of the vehicle etc.... You could find a certified installer at www.safewindshields.org near you. It's for the safety of you and your passengers. My dewalt saw saw has a different mechanism than a regular saw saw and for the multi tool you could buy the blade there too and the attachment to use the blade I invented it my self.
+Samuel McGinnis Because I was thinking I would have to buy an fein knife. I just wanted to check due to I have alot of the M12 tools already. You are Dow certified I can tell due to I am too. You do really good work.
Does anyone know how the Safelite glass compares to the original on that E350? I noticed the OEM one had the Mercedes signature on it:-(. Is there a difference in quality? Is it thinner/thicker?
Good job man! Nearly perfect :P Why applying the blue tape for marker after you've cut the urethane? Now the windshield has already moved and is your marker not very precise anymore.. And why dont you apply your dow primer on a larger area on the windshield? Especially at the bottom of the new windshield they follow a curved way, I think it is nearly impossible that your single path of primer will meet your glue on the body at every point. I prefer applying glue on the windshield though, but then I install a different way either, with nearly no fails. It was big fun watching you, and even with this comment I would trust you my car. Keep up the good work!
The blue tape is only one of the three marker points I used to set the windshield the other two are the vin# and the third one is the corner under my chest witch is the most important because it lets me see the glass sitting on top of the urethane very precisely. You could see that on the video as well on my other videos. The glass is actually marked where to apply the primer as well the urethane, most windshields have that now and it's very easy to follow. Thanks for watching my video.
I like how you work, you put your tools away right after you're done. Clean, efficient, attention to detail...
You are a true professional. Very impressive how much care you took. My windshield got cracked by a semi throwing up a rock and I have to get my windshield replaced. That's a great job Alfredo you are truly a professional and care about your work that is good to see I have been doing auto glass since 1991 and I'm old-school a good cold knife with a good sharp blade would have cut that windshield a lot quicker than those electric ones but that's just my opinion to each his own

Most definitely, as soon as I get my hands on a C350 I'll do the video.
Very nice set up, great job.
Very professional job. Black car is hard to see details of the works. Can you do another Mercedes with light color car?
Nop Hiranrat thank you! Yes next time
Well done! Wish you were in Miami , FL !
Alfredo, excellent work! I'd be bringing my MB Sprinter to you if you were in Seattle, WA :)
Very professional
Thank you for sharing
Such a professional clean job. How do you lean how each car comes apart and how each rain sensor comes apart?
The man moves so fast. He must have a lot of experience
True professional, great job!
Thank you.
Nice Job! Love your attention to detail. Hard to find good service like that nowadays. Now can you come to Seattle to do my Mercedes windshield?
What about the Mercedes that have lane assist, do you recalibrate them?
Did you recalibrate the lane assist by Any chance after unplugging
corks Esparza this vehicle is not equipped with lane keep assist. Only rain sensor.
What kind of cold knife was that?
Impressive man !! very profi

Wambu Wan thank you for your comment, it would be hard to leak water from the bottom but you would definitely have air leaks.

Is that OEM or aftermarkey? Also which one would you reccomend for that Mercedes with rain and lane sensors?
Where did you buy the attachment for the multitool? I haven't seen one around. Same for the spatula for the DeWalt. Please reply I'm about to attempt changing the windshield on my old E320 wagon.

good job man. what kind of blade did you use to cut this windshield? and will this method work for cutting windshield on a 2016 Ford F150?
Question the MIlwaukee tool you used to cut out the glass. DId you have to modify them in anyway?
+Samuel McGinnis
Because I was thinking I would have to buy an fein knife. I just wanted to check due to I have alot of the M12 tools already. You are Dow certified I can tell due to I am too. You do really good work.
After replacement , it will have extra noise?
Mr. Gong先生 not it will not have extra noise!
Que marca de blades usas para ese multi tool
Did they replace your windshield with another Mercedes glass with the emblem on it?
Nice work. Where did you get the blade for the Milwaukee? Couldn't find it online. Thanks.
Does anyone know how the Safelite glass compares to the original on that E350? I noticed the OEM one had the Mercedes signature on it:-(. Is there a difference in quality? Is it thinner/thicker?
You can buy the Mercedes signiture sticker online and put it on yourself 😉
@@S.A.241 I hate you 😂. Just kidding. They replaced it! And there were no aftermarket ones, so they HAD to use OEM. Rain sensors work fine too.
hey Alfredo, what knife are you using on the Milwaukee tool?
Raul Ruiz video coming soon.
Professional!!! 🔥
Where do u service
Looks very good.
hui ren thank you.
I love watching your videos and you do really good jobs! But I was wondering how you attached the cold knife blade to the Milwaukee multi tool?
may i ask how much you would charge for a job exactly like this? just out of curiosity
what if the windshield wipers don't work after replacing the windshield for the E350?
+KS Mitchell Then you take it to Mercedes to reset the computer box..
